Imo, they need to add little things time to time to the existing maps, new seasons alone couldnt keep our interest for long. I have been playing for a year and i find it hard to stay interested in the game. Now the spirits are reduced to four and they take longer to accomplish, is another thing that bores me in long term.

It does lose some of the magic for me, but I noticed for prophecy that they had changed the trials from when I saw them in beta and added some new mechanics (these might've been in late beta but im not sure, I had to stop beta testing a few weeks in due to school ), so I still got to have some new experiences. Also guiding my friends through and seeing their reactions helps keep the magic!

this is my second time for beta testing, but tbh i dont really know. im quite certain that as i make my way through all of the trials, my aim is to guide my friends in live version, beside doing my weekly bug hunting. i did think about it once, "what if i got bored of prophecy? ive already experienced it in beta before" and later, i realized that one aim i have slowly make my thoughts fades away, in the end my feelings are replenished by my friend's gratefulness and stronger friendship bond (not even sure if this makes sense )

Seeing all of this talk about candle running.... It's sad how you guys kinda view it. Some see it as a chore, and I understand why. But I view it as an opportunity to hang out with friends, and have fun.

But spending hours Candle Running isn't good for ya either. TCG cares about you guys, and is trying to find a good solution to this "candle run" health problem.

Even if it's about the TS, instead of having the TS have locked items, me and a bunch of earlier guys discussed some new option for the TS....

And that includes a Double Wax event every Wednesday before TS arrives on Thursday. It also includes the option to buy the season pass that the spirit is in, to get lower candle prices, if you don't have it already. And slightly lowered candle prices in general.

TCG really cares about you guys. So if you don't like candle running, maybe we can discuss options to reduce the need to candle run, while keeping the option to do work?

Just kinda tuned in.. from my perspective. There's something different between seeing a season change and evolve in beta Infront of my own eyes with seeing it fully complete in live.
I have appreciation in process first over the end product. Both are important, but I lean towards that, and participating in that process gives me a chance to see that.
When the season hits live, it's still as magical as it was in beta, not only that the game itself is already pretty, recalling how it became to what it is today always pushes me forward

during beta I focus on the bugs and not the season so much (I don’t have my full attention on enjoying the season ) after testing is complete and it comes to live I then fully immerse myself in it so I get to enjoy .

But locking items isn't going to make anyone happy. And I am pretty sure TCG didn't want to do it either. Instead, me and some others talked about the following option, and we all think it's good.

Basically, Travelling Spirits will have lowered candle prices if you have its season pass. Season pass will be able to be bought (maybe by a discount) when the TS is here. And to further reduce Candle Run stress, we came up with the option to include a Double Wax event, every (or every other) Wednesday, right before TS arrives on Thursdays.

We all see this as a win-win, because people will pay for pass to get that discount. And people who don't have money can candle run easily. @steady pond this won't devalue the spirit and their currency at all, because there's still the option to grind if you like it, it just relieves stress, and gives everyone the opportunity to gain the right amount of candles, while still having the sense of accomplishment if they choose to do so.

ive found that if youre short on time or dont feel like candlerunning much between spirits, just candlerun for the first 4-5 days and get around 50(or more if you are able or want to) candles! then, when the travelling spirit is announced, you can decide whether you want to get it, and then grind for candles for the next few days if you end up wanting it :3 its not a perfect system by any means but it alleviates stress of daily candlerunning a bit!

Oh I am fully aware that may not end up being the correct solution. But for now, it's the most liked, and people want it more than the current TS system. And it won't hurt to Beta Test it. If doesn't work, then I'll gladly return to the drawing board to think of a different option. If it does work, then that just proves that the community can actually solve things, if they just took into account everyone's wants and compromise the best possible way if they listened to eachother.

The ones who accepted the exchange process thought that they would continue to buy their missing cosmetics via regular candles from ts’ later, but now they have to buy adventure passes again in order to get their missing cosmetics. Okay, so just saying this-TGC actually fricking LISTENS to their players, unlike A LOT of other games. Specifically one comes to mind but I won’t mention the game, just that they would either take away whatever was the problem without even TRYING to fix it or just try to gloss over it. TGC doesn’t do that, they actually take feedback and implement it, and of course they are trying to make money, they’re a relatively small company that needs the support.

People buy more candle packs for TS, multiple purchases dominate, and you know how much the candle packs cost
If the AP system is implemented, less people would buy candle packs and rather buy AP instead, one time purchases dominate
The company will lose money because of this
They're listening to player feedback. If they were money hungry, they would just implement this system to live immediately

I’m not saying that the items weren’t overpriced, they were, but they are actively trying to fix it and are adapting to the players needs. But they still need the income to make new content—and not just for “new contents sake,” but something that people actually really enjoy, that possibly challenges them (like the trials), and keeps them coming back for more. I haven't either, but the main reason for this change is because of the veterans who see people getting 'free' cosmetics as being unfair from when they got their cosmetics (back in the olden days of Sky when the travelling spirits hadn't begun appearing) since when they got them, there wasn't a free option. I don't think this change is to cater for the selfish veterans, more for the ones who feel their money wasn't worth it given their 'one time only' cosmetics turned out to not be like that

Lose wings until you're at 2 stars on cape ( max 4 wings) wear moth outfit (call, stance, cosmetics, everything,) and then go to places , mostly Prairie social space cause that's where most ppl hang out and then see a table or sit on bench , strictly act like a moth, then, ask for help like "where is the light in the tasks" "what do i do in this game" "can you make me your friend" and then ask questions about Cosmetics "do i have to look nice in this game" "should i not talk with Anyone if i don't have nice clothes" "how can i get the clothes youre wearing.
Tip : always use unpopular terms for things, like clothes instead of Cosmetics, ancestor/Blue people instead of spirits, orders/tasks instead of daily quests

If this happens, should we make it so that every TS, you have to buy the Season Pass, but at like, a discount? Or a one time buy?

So, I am an adroid vet, soI missed out the first seasons and tbh the first ts I didnt get the concept and let them pass by. I always thought the fact that the cosmetics DO come back, is very generous and should not be taken for granted. And I would never be mad at newer players to get something I or any other longtime player have already. The change might seem unfair to some, but only because it is a change. I like it, that you guys are trying to stay non-toxic and come up with real good ideas and feedback. I think Sky has very variable options to "pay" for stuff and this is good, but they can't serve everybody. I would trust the devs totally on this one too.

I like the idea that somebody here suggested before, I don’t know if it’s just one person or several of them because I don’t check the chat that much and there’s too many people talking at the same time so do excuse me for not giving credit: giving the option of getting items behind a paywall for free if you have AP or pay with candles for f2p. For those that don’t want to spend time farming it’s a great idea given that most of the community buys the AP, whereas for f2p they will have to farm candles but at least they won’t have to spend money. I don’t know how difficult it would be to make this work but so far it’s the best thing anyone has suggested in my opinion and a lot of people have agreed on this one.

I started the idea originally, other people added on to it, and it's been reiterated. Our version went like this:

Basically, Travelling Spirits will have lowered candle prices if you have its season pass. Season pass will be able to be bought (maybe by a discount) when the TS is here. And to further reduce Candle Run stress, we came up with the option to include a Double Wax event, every (or every other) Wednesday, right before TS arrives on Thursdays.

We all see this as a win-win, because people will pay for pass to get that discount. And people who don't have money can candle run easily.

I think it’s definitely fair that at least ultimate gifts are exclusive rewards for those that finished the constellation and they never come back whether they’re free or not. If android was available back in November I would have bonfire right now (or if my friend had known android wouldn't release until enchantment they might have let me borrow their ipad sooner than Rhythm) so I get why some android players are very sad about previous ults because they may have been around staring longingly at sky for months before they got access. plus we have the issue of bonfire and umbrella being super useful in ways that no "replacement" cosmetic (mini umbrella and table) are. so of course even people who weren't around waiting for android release would be upset that an equivalent item is not possible now. imagine them nuking bonfire's recharge capability to make it "equal" to the table so we can keep it an ult but also keep it fair to people who can't obtain it. man I think people would be angrier about that than new people getting a bonfire

Add more candles to shorter realms. So there is no need to cr all the realms to get a lot of candles. ( Ex : maybe a run though valley+praire+forest could gain 16-17 candles. Approx. Time is usually around 45 mins to 1½ hour. Reduces cr time. (The rest of the wax will be bonus when you feel like you can)

it has been established that ults won't return as TS and will not be sold for in-game currency. they don't really have any more details further than that it will be some kind of IAP but we won't know if there's other requirements to obtain it when they return as well yet. Those patch notes are from March so it's likely going to be a LONG time before we know anything more

Okay I still have to read further into the post but I just wanna say, while it’s true completing a season is not “hard work” cause tasks are easy, it does take time cause you have to log in for a determined number of days and get a determined amount of candles to finish it, and NOT everybody can do that, example is the people that unfortunately didn’t get the chance to finish the constellation. I am an iOS user but I started during sanctuary season, while I do admit I wish I had the chance of getting past ult gifts I still think ult gifts should stick to being a reward for those that got the season pass. So I stick to the idea that should ult gifts come back in a future only those that got the season pass and didn’t manage to finish it get it, maybe for free since they had already paid.

There are games like Valorant where a pack of 5 gun skins costs 100$. If you said this there, then it would be okay. Over here, every cosmetic you're paying 1.5$ at max. You're seriously getting a lot for 1.5$ - exclusivity of cosmetics for more than half a year, ultimate gifts to which literally no one else has access (so unlimited exclusivity on that front), more seasonal candles = more white candles.

Think about it this way,
When you get beta, you're added to a pool of people who get to download the app, and you're also able to update the app from either Testflight or the playstore, TGC sends out updates to these two places for you to download, and that keeps you in the loop and being able to play.
When access gets wiped, they wipe you from the pool of people who receive these updates, and just like in live they're going to be forcing updates every now and then so testers would be playing on the same build.
Every now and then they force updates,
So even if you still have the beta app downloaded, if your invite is removed, you can't get the updates, and you'll be forced to update one day, and if you don't get the updates, you can't play.
So basically access wipes remove your access to these updates, and thus access to beta, eventually.

The very same argument can be applied to p2p players. You're getting a lot for 10$. You're getting double the cosmetics and complete exclusivity for more than half a year. You're getting ultimate gifts with unlimited exclusivity (at least, as of now it stands that way). You get more seasonal candles, which translates to more white candles.

Let's do some math. An AP player in prophecy can get 440 seasonal candles, while prophecy costs 330 candles. So at the end, you're getting 110 normal candles. Last I checked, 110 candles costed around 35$ worth of IAP. Is it fair that you are getting 35$ worth of candles for only 10$ now?

I’m a mostly f2p person but expecting to get the same content as people that pay with their own money is unrealistic and unfair. Money is a serious thing, and sometimes people forget that IAP and temporary merch are the only sources of income the devs have to further develop the game. You can still make infinite progress being f2p and what’s more important you’re not getting interrupted by adds like in most games and that’s all thanks to the people that contribute economically so in a way they’re also paying for your own entertainment. Plus if you can’t afford pass there’s always the possibility that a friend gives it to you or you can participate in giveaways. Please consider that.
