Back when tgc announced this TS system, before it was put into beta, the backlash was so bad, multiple people got kicked, and ktjn herself had to put out a statement saying "Its not in beta, its just an idea, calm down"

They defended the announcement, saying they wanted to "ask for the community's opinion before anything"

So well, with that amount of backlash, you'd think they'd think twice about the new system right?

I thought the ultimate gifts would be coming from the quest giver as a ts and not the whole spirits from a season. I mean, why are they making half of the ts ap access? when the ultimate gifts are ones players only wanting to come back as a ts. Why make it harder for players who can't afford aps on making the half chart of a ts ap needed? the old ones is better imo, so please don't let this test come to live ( sorry for bad english )

i had an idea for how they could bring back the ults: theyd be IAP but in order to see/buy them, you'd have to have the pass for the current season. then you could buy them in the shop but which ult comes back is completely random. this was just an idea tho and im not even sure if i want ults to come back-

Correct. It's a beta-only feature change. We've made changes and asked for additional feedback. That's how iterative design works. You can dislike the process and dislike the changes, but you can leave the toxic attitude at the door. Please leave your constructive feedback in #beta-feedback so I can deliver it to the design team.

According to new friends I meet, yes, i got mistaken as a new born moth before i got lighted up in beta, I honestly didn’t knew about the ranking being able to decrease, but out of curiosity i went home to check back at the constellation it really did (surprising yet not so much to me ) though the idea behind how the ranking system works is not much known iirc- hence not much I can confirm with you except based on my own experience, sorry angle if not much help

I think I remember seeing back then, someone in TGC mentioned that the TS change is actually going to reduce income, since apparently a lot of players buy candles for the TS. And if the free cosmetics become added in the AP, less people will buy candles, and more people would get the pass.

The thing is, compared to the candle prices, the adventure pass is super cheap. So, TGC is the first company I've heard of that reduces profits on purpose-

I think another reason for them making the ts system like that is there might be a chance that they considered an idea for the return of ultimate gifts. Like re-runs for events in other games. At the same time considering our feedbacks on the ts system in order to understand our povs while making more adjustments on our game experience and for the company not to loose too much money for their hard working staff.

I mean at this point I feel like just seeing how the ts system unfolds... I’m just one voice and my opinion won’t really make or break a decision. Ultimately, the company decides what’s in the spirit of sky and what’s not..
I’ll sit on this new system for a bit more again... really don’t want to drop in feedback when I feel so one sided about it...

Until then, maybe I’ll just cut my losses,cry and try to get what I can from the spirits until this system rolls out in live so I don’t regret not getting the items now...

you know im very curious about people opposing to the return of ultimate items, especially older players who seemed to have a problem with this concept
and i would like to know what you guys are thinking about
from what ive noticed, people did not want ultimates to return because of a social status possibly? the feeling of having more than others or not being able to look unique, which is interesting because that moves to the question "why do you play this game?" or "why cant a player have the ability to have the same items as you do?"
to me, i think giving others a chance to have an old cosmetic is fine because I play mostly for the socializing part and being able to express myself through these emotes and cosmetics, but not so worried about others having the same items because i feel like im my own person

perhaps its the limited variety of cosmetics because of this game being little over a year old and not having that many seasons yet.
(also i fully respect everyone's reasons to play sky, im just in a thinking bubble atm)

I know many of us aren't super happy about the new system, but at least acknowledge that they're trying to fix it. If they really didn't care, they would have left it as is.
By leaving the game, you're removing yourself from the journey to help it. The final decision is up to you, but you'll end up missing the chance to see it grow into something better.

I think its def the feeling of being able to be identified as a player from which season you are in. I understand to a degree how they would feel but also everyone should have a chance to get it and not be limited based on what time they joined. Perhaps the ults they implement in the future could have slight variations like rhythm hair having a silver band instead of gold accent? Some say to make it look like a trash version like cardboard but thats unfair really... All the heated debate over ults I've seen are just scary

Do people who own previous spirit items really care about the TS system? I don’t know. But for me, I think this is a commercial decision. Like Apple, every year new iPhone out with a higher price and the old model get a lower price, does anyone complain? I think players focus on new items than the previous items. But the TS system should be free for new players, because they could not experience the previous seasons even with the TS system. That would be not fair for them if TCG tries to charge them. I was playing sky but didn’t know how to play properly and therefore missed many cosmetics including deer mask ... being a new player is what it is .... you have to learn . That’s how things are unless you research first ..... not knowing how to do something is not anything to do with things being unfair I don’t think.If I had taken the time to read the how to play information the game gave when started then it would of been different and I regret that ....most of us I think was the same when started sky ( had no clue ) what I missed I missed and i can’t blame the game ..... new things will come to the game and a chance to get old stuff in some way ...I think that’s fair that the chance is even given ..

if you work your backs off to justify your sole claim on the cosmetics you supposedly own, im sorry but the pass feature wouldnt help you. anyone with the money can buy it, which means that moth who played the game for a whole day can wear your rhythm pants if they can afford, or the player who joined since sanctuary can get the mask you get from a previous seasons if they’re willing to pay huge bucks. all because the seasonal pass is of present season, not the past. because why would tgc put a past seasonal pass up for sale when the season’s already over? you still cant distinguish who is deserving of the cosmetics according to your elitist, pathetic standards. in the end, this feature still doesnt give you the filter you want. good luck with that.

It's important to remember that for any changes there are feedback coming from both sides, that agree or disagree with the change. Public perception on these features might seem one sided but it's quite rarely true. Even if you disagree, there could be many people that liked the change, and in the end it's up to TGC to make their choices with the available feedback from all testers and players

Just be thankful they wouldn’t put it into Live without any warning. Give your honest, honest opinion in #beta-feedback , but please give constructive advice of how this concept could be changed.

also remembering the sunglasses are one of my most iconic masks in Live upset me a bit, (I have no idea what I’ll do without them in a way!) but I can find...different iconic masks.

i don't believe android requires anything specific, but the iOS invite links require you to have an app called Testflight for them to work properly -- if you're on iOS and are planning to join the beta, it might not be a bad idea to have that app downloaded first

You most likely are going to miss cosmetics in beta, either by not participating in testing, bugs or progress wipes. It's good to familiarize yourself with that since the start: you are not entitled to your progress in beta

I'm not a new player, but I like the set up as it. many late players work very hard to do cr every day to collect the 100+ candles to unlock the past seasonal items. i would call that an effort. They too put a lot of time into something they want. I also understand how Vet players feel, but I personally like the setting as players do have to work hard and be committed to play througout the week to collect candles (even if they decide to buy candles, they aren't cheap, and certainly be more expensive than a seasonal pass if they want to purchase candles to get those items).

While I do have my own opinions on it, for now I am willing to wait and test it. Everyone are having such bad reaction to what the TGCI decided to put in beta. It's honestly sad.

For now, why can't all of us just sit down and try and help out with giving feedback without coming off as rude or start dividing in the chat. While yes, the system might seem off and wrong for some, others will have their reasons why they would want this to actually happen.

Why can't we just simply listen to each other opinion and not have a backlash on other people opinions? I'm sure that there must be a good reason behind each opinion that is put out here.

For one, I don't agree with the new system, but I am willing to give it a try in beta and see how it goes. Constructive criticism and testing is the main thing each game needs.

So far Sky has been nothing but humble and really nice and sweet with their players!!! So please, please, please can we just stay civilised and let people have their own opinions out here without any backlash? Or being simply rude towards TGCI for these updates.. After all they are in beta for a reason...

During invite waves, it's particularly important for us to ensure this chat is under control as a place where members can ask questions or just talk about the beta really. We had some really unpleasant experiences in the past with spam and harassments towards TGC, so slowmode stays as a precaution until the waves are done

TS & Ult idea looking for feedback:
Perhaps could be fortnightly there is an orbit reset. For this to start you must complete at least one normal constellation (so the player isn't a fresh moth and can understand better) You ascend to orbit and in the central node position where seasonal constellation would usually be from home there could be a symbol for each season. Clicking any one of them would then result in that specific seasonal constellation to appear, further clicking a spirit would result in that spirit coming down with their price tree showing and a 2 AC unlock cost first (unless they have already been bought before with their wing buff). Unlocking the spirit from orbit (only one unlock allowed each orbit reset) would make that spirit show up in your world like the TS for a few days during which you can unlock their cosmetics. After that they leave and orbit wont show the seasonal symbols until a fortnight's time. If you fully complete a season then you can open up the season in orbit and call down the quest master at orbit. Like the elders the quest master can be called down for free at any point in orbit to show the unlock IAP prices for the ults (that's why the call down fee is free in orbit for the quest master, so a player wont miss out on a different TS if they realise they don't have enough real money).
Pros: reliable, makes sense from a game standpoint with orbit being the call area, matches in with the elder ultimate gifts, still would take a long time and not devalue the ultimate gifts, allows for vets to hunt down wing buffs and newer players to hunt down ultimates or their favourite look, allows for individual hype with each player getting the new items they wanted meaning less TS cosmetic spam with everyone wearing the most recent TS gear.
Cons: Would result in popular TS items becoming 'common' early on, may take a bit of explaining to understand, return of hard to get but attainable ultimate gifts may leave some unhappy (hit word limit)

It would be painful for me to see other people get the pass and at the same time enjoy the items locked behind the TS tree. And that's why I wait for Travelling Spirits with several of my friends, and we would always get excited because hey!

All we need to do is grind and grind and take our time and effort to get it. No need for iAP.

Personally, I got all my candles without buying ANYTHING. Just months and days of Candle running, nothing else.

I’m a vet and someone whos paid for passes before, and the new system honestly hurts
The current ts system we have in place already works amazingly, so i see no reason to adjust it
And although yeah i see why some are upset about “well i paid to get my cosmetics they should pay too”, the elitist ideology is just plain sad. Who cares? I hear you on the front of working hard to get your pass locked items dude, i had to skip out on lunches for months at a time to save up for passes. But i dont see a big deal between that and someone else working hard in game for candles to spend

Iam curious if TGC considered keeping the existing ts prices but introducing x% discounts for pass holders. A non pass holder wouldn’t get any discounts, however a pass holder can get an x% discount.

As far as the new TS system, the new system would make it really hard for me to play on live, I guess? As it is currently, anyways. The TS are what tend to motivate me the most, because I have a bunch of sky OCs that use cosmetics from seasons that I wasn't present for (I joined during Enchantment).
I don't have any means to make money to put towards my own AP, my friend always has to buy one for me. If my friend, one season, couldn't purchase an AP for me, I could possibly miss out on TS that I really liked and have been looking forward to.

I also understand the system, though, and I definitely believe its worth testing out. There haven't been many TS in beta since the system was implemented, so its kind of early to make full judgements. TGC could easily hear us out and make adjustments to accommodate our problems!
Obviously its still okay to debate, though, as long as everyone us respectful

So, a season has about 60 days, TS come biweekly, every 14 days, meaning that during a season, we get 4 TS which some can be repeated.

Aye, buying a season pass will be worth for the current season, but this implementation will be absolute bonkers for people who get it for a TS item. The way I see it it's $10 USD for 4 TS which can be repeated, so the amount of earned cosmetics ain't as worthy as a season pass amount. Unless they implement multiple TS or weekly TS, I personally don't believe in the TS system as a Value thing, considering it was Free before and a price reduction ain't exactly compensating, if you reduce in game currency in exchange for real money.

I also saw the beta update and imo it's really a bad idea. People, especially to those people who can't afford the pass will be very upset and may end up leaving the game. Many people who play Sky are still young and are still studying. The reason why we candle run is because of this too and people who can't afford and were not able to buy a pass can have a chance of getting these same cosmetics for free, but way more expensive amount of candles, which is fine. So I don't see any reason to change anything. The reason why we candle run and we help our friends with runs is mostly because of this after all. Take all of that away, and what is the point?

I think people are saying that they would quit Sky is because they dedicated time and energy to candlerun, and if this new system might be implemented, all their hard work is going down the drain. They would stop because--you could be doing anything else. I know that they chose to give time to the game, but it would still hurt to see that everything you've worked for would be all for nothing. Time is something you could not get back, after all.

This is also the reason why I don't agree in bringing the ultimate gifts back--the effort to get the ultimate gifts. Sure, some could just buy extra seasonal candle packs, but most would grind for the whole season, right? So I respect the efforts of AP holders.

Everyone enjoys the game for different reasons, but for me there’s just not that many things to do with friends...
I can talk to them... but I’m a little wary about divulging personal information or things that could reveal things about me to people online, so my conversations with most of my friends tend to be limited to sky — granted there are a couple exceptions
How much can I really talk about sky? Most of these types of conversations end for me or are limited to questions like “when did you start the game, how long have you been playing, omg I hate krills etc.. “
And sometimes they do feel redundant, I don’t play music or I get bored of playing it after a while ><

Plus most of the time when I hang out with friends in sky, it’s to do crs and the reason crs are so highly rated is because there’s something to spend the candles you’re accumulating on... at least for me..
I wish there were more things I could do with friends, like chibi races etc.. but currently other than hide and seek there’s really not much to do with friends for me in sky.

To me it's not a hardworking of doing quest for whatever. I feel like it's something that marks the time of how long has the player has been staying with and supporting the game. It is a form of self expression I believe.

As for in real life we have people that walked before us who have seen changes and that we look up to. Ultimate gifts from a season to me have the same meaning and it is an accomplishment only the people that walked the same road before me in sky deserve for their guidance and our similarity in having gratitude for the game. I saw the potential implementation of the pass and I'm really upset. Not everyone has the income, and the way Sky is locking cosmetics behind a paywall is encouraging a diversion between spending and non-spending players.

I guess just to add, I started playing during January 2018, and i am supportive of ultimate rewards coming back —Android players didn’t have access to a number of them, for one thing. In fact when seasons were first introduced, I was initially expecting seasons would be recurring. But it only happened for Gratitude and Rhythm, since those came out in soft launch. I was expecting seasonal items to return in some form, as not everyone can dedicate that time to playing seasons all at the time

My general take of the "bringing ultimates back" is that it is good to allow people who had no chance of participating in any season the chance for an ultimate that they like, if they are willing to pay for it.

People who are restricted solely because they didn't own an Iphone in 2019 shouldn't be locked out of these items purely because sky didn't run on their platform/ they were unaware of sky.

I understand the possible frustration from older players, and the possible reason for this new update, but as people have already mentioned, it would make candle running (a big part of the game) redundant for many players.
I believe ult items should stay locked. They show the player was there, in that season, and for paying players it's a way to show uniqueness. Re-colours that you could buy with candles would make these items less valuable, and in turn less people would end up purchasing the AP.

The current system is pretty good in my opinion. If you want an item, you work for it, and I believe its worked so far.
People that complain about not having enough candles for Ts can always buy candles to make the purchase.
I believe that if you are required to purchase the AP for certain items, the game would loose a lot of players that play daily simply for candle runs and candle farming.

I feel like the subject of ultimates returning is quite divided in opinions. I’ve been playing since 2018, so I’ve been around for a while. And as Tracey said I did initially think seasons would return too.
I’d love to see people getting their hands on past ultimates— I feel it brings us together, that no item is truly unobtainable. Sure, how you obtain it might differ from the season itself, but ultimately you’ll have the option or not to get it. And I think that would be a wonderful thing down the line

the TS purpose is to deliver the cosmetics from past seasons to the game so that moths and the players who didnt get the cosmetics cuz of the platform or money can get these cosmetics, doing this change and binding the TS cosmetics to the pass is like forcing players to pay or lose their ability to get the thing they want, most of my friends i know cant buy the pass and the TS and collecting for its items is what keeps them and me excited to stay playing, and when you return to the truth that the candles we spend on the TS is way more expensive than the pass you will feel like you were collecting candles to earn these cosmetics, buying the pass will be just a shortcut and even if it was you will need to go on this shortcut to get what you want so basically this feature ruins the entier meaning and purpose of the TS and will make most of the players feel unfair and quit the game

To me ap are just for u to get the ults and the early access to items. Not the items as an exclusive thing. People have to wait at least 6months for a ts from the current season to return, and theyre random.

I also agree with the majority that the new TS system is not really appealing. The current TS system makes it possible for the newer players to have a chance to get the emotes or cosmetics that they want. yes cosmetics expresses your self but I really find the TS changes fair to the people who bought AP. You gotta support the developers, and yes that involves money. No game can survive if everything is handed out for free. Besides, correct me if I'm wrong but TS was created as a catch-up mechanic (not to be given for free, yes, even if you did candle-run).

I also agree to the people who said that there's more to sky than cosmetics its about kindness, friendship and memories you made. I just find building relationships just because you are looking cool in-game defeats the purpose of making genuine friendships. I think the update would be interesting honestly.. a lot of people seem to demand a lot of Sky and for them to pander to people who can’t spend money when most games usually just outright neglect players feedback for stuff like this and have stuff be far more expensive.

I believe the original TS was here to compensate the Android players who couldn’t play. Almost every spirit has returned by now though and if the issue is you hadn’t noticed/known about sky after android than...it genuinely is something on you? And yet this still is giving a fair amount of compensation to get these items again!
Every game has items that were exclusive or limited as well, that you would’ve missed out on and have no chance to get. Seasons were originally meant to not be reran, this is nice as is?

I think this also gives MORE of a reason for people to buy the AP, because now you can also get the older seasons items instead of just waiting out for free traveling spirits. Plus at some point in sky we had no ts and all these items were passlocked, this is simply bringing it back to the way it was but with another way to get items again.

Those who couldn’t buy passes in the past, this will be similar, you’re able to get items that weren’t passlocked still. I think people are viewing this as far too “unfair” because of how kind Sky has been so far, this is still something very nice and far more kinder than simply never letting items return.

PLUS new players have had this weight on their shoulders of exclusively focusing on traveling spirits while they should be thinking of the NEWER seasons yet to come. Sure you missed some cosmetics and now they’re pass locked but there will be newer BETTER items to look forward to. You should be thinking of this more.

Once again, every game has old items people may of missed, there’s nothing much to it. Sky is already giving hefty compensation, this is just a nice way to make it seem more fair to newer and older sky players.

Do people really have the money to be spending $50+ per ultimate gift item. I'm an adult who plays sky and the pricing of the Halloween masks and Cape this year was out of reach. I'm a bit at odds over how sky wants players to remain engaged with the game when so much of the engagement is becoming transactual. This is what I don't like about the travelling spirit becoming apart of a season. I have a younger sibling who religiously plays sky, she is not of working age and spends most of the money she is given on passes and candle packs to catch up on candles she missed out. The reason why she buys the candle packs is become of her commitments to school and life. I'm worried that sky is taking advantage of younger players in this way and I believe its unethical for sky to release items and expect another transaction to receive it when these players have already dropped $30 for a season pass and own an office Cape. If sky is to bring back ultimate rewards from old seasons why can't it be an event that people can earn the items. Do they have to be the same items or slightly different to the original? I feel that charging people is becoming an easy cash grab for sky.

As an AP purchaser I consider the AP early access to items than will come back later, and the quests usually only take from 10-30 mins instead of a 3 hour candle run so it is fair that the ts items should be free for everyone. I think for ultra though, they should cost either a lot of hearts/new currency as well as being purchasable as IAP, this was people who can’t afford to purchase the pass but work hard can achieve the ults, but they still keep their worth. Yes, even if you have pass it's still a lot of work to get all the items you want. I love it, tho. I get to spent time with friends and meet some interesting strangers. I remember completing all constellation and getting ult gifts feels so rewarding. As well as saving up 2 weeks for ts.

On spamming emotes: When chat is quiet, or when people are bored/waiting for invites, it might be tempting to send a single or several emotes in chat, as a way to pass time. This usually wouldn’t be considered spamming, but when slowmode is long and there are many people in the channel, it can encourage others to do the same- resulting in an incredibly spammy chain of messages.

It might not seem like it, but there are hundreds, perhaps thousands of members watching this chat as well as your messages at any given moment. One emote might not seem like much, or 5 people sending a might not be a big deal, until it’s hundreds of messages that become unstoppable. We’ve had unpleasant experiences in the past with this, including a server-wide crash- something that we just cannot let happen because of invite waves as well as the other 190k members on the server.

Because of all of this, mods and staff may delete emotes, or short messages, and ask members to stick to regular discussion. It may look harsh, but please keep in mind we only have everyone’s well-being in mind

The wonderful and very unique thing about sky that really drew me to the game is that it is based of developing friendships and sharing, for prophecy i spent well over 100 dollars on gifting passes to people i met on sky who couldn't afford it.

I genuinely love meeting a new player and watching them grow and develop their own "personality" through emotes and cosmetics and helping them get enough hearts for an item they really want.

I think a lot of people have forgotten what sky is all about, as much as cosmetics are amazing and let you express yourself. The game is about meeting and befriending new people and helping one another regardless if you played since launch or started today

I think the new TS system is going to add value to those who purchased AP in the past and those who purchase it now. Most F2P games have ALL cosmetic things locked behind a paywall which TGC doesn't. Remember the devs do need to earn money somehow.

They could just make it cost more candles for F2P and make it free for pass holders but I have friends that will spend 20+ dollars every TS in lives current system because they are unable to dedicate enough time to candle run between their jobs.

Exclusivity can cause elitism and toxicity and it can go both ways.

I think equal opportunity is important for sky overall, so maybe if the past season ultimates come back every two seasons with a hefty price tag and at random it will allow people who earned those items in the original run to have a guaranteed 6months of being "special" and "exclusive" but it doesn't discourage newer players because they joined after the cool item that their friend from 2019 had will never come back.

and a possibility with the TS being bundled with the season pass can give benefits towards discounting the IAP for ultimates based on how many spirit trees you "complete" in that ultimates constellation further providing more value to passholders.

You have to see this in a broader perspective a percentage of the players have been playing for months and have already completed the game. They are now looking forward every 2 weeks to get the TS cosmetics which they have missed in the past. Now with the new implementation they won't be able to get the cosmetics as there's no way of purchasing the AP for past season :) also I think it was a plus that they were generous enough to make them free, but also keeping in mind that they are charging at high candle price. People who are not able to grind for that high amount of candles pay money for the cosmetics as well. Just keep that in mind.

I just found out that TGC stands to lose money if they implement this update (a message from Mirian a few scrolls up), and if anything, it’s all the more reason for this TS update to not be implemented, because we want to have both an enjoyable experience and ability to support TGC. If this garners less profit for the team, then this really is a no.

I believe the main reason why people look forward to the TS is not because they couldn’t afford the cosmetics back when said TS was AP-locked during their own season, but because people haven’t even joined the game back then. A lot of us only joined recently and thus missed past seasonal spirits, and the current TS system is already a fair way to get the cosmetics to return imo. Hope they change their mind about the TS update.

I think color variations for the ultimate gifts are the way to go. Like having silver horns on the deer mask instead of golden ones, a different design on top of the lightseekers ultimate umbrella, silver triangles on the rhythm mask instead of gold, perhaps a cosmic manta cape instead of a normal manta cape 👀 (not sure about the bonfire yet since it’s technically a spell too) not only would it keep the originals, original, and let newer players get the items they really want, but older players might even get the variation versions of the ultimate gifts too if they like the color changes :> overall I think it would be a win for both the company, and all players involved. Again going back to how the beta and founders cape works. The beta players were given a special cape exclusive to those who played the old beta. That item is now available in the game, but it’s a variation of it, to differentiate between the two. Tgc has done it before, I don’t see why they couldn’t do something similar for the ultimate gifts 😄 obviously it would be in app purchase lol, maybe around the same price of the founders cape but only be available a certain times. Honestly, candle running for hours is what makes this game for me. I meet with friends, we do our run together and enjoy some quality time with each others. Why would I want to make the candle run obsolete? It's what ties us together and gives us a uniform aim. The whole purpose of the AP is to get access to Ultimate Gifts. Anything else, the bonus was collecting other cosmetics from the seasonsal spirits along the way. If they AP lock TS spirits, what's even the point of playing as a free player? To get 2 emotes, 2 spells and a heart every 2 weeks? While a Season takes place and you purchase the AP, all you really need to do is collect the daily seasonal candles and you're 100% sure of getting all the cosmetics + ultimate gifts....heck you'll even get extra candles by the end of the Season!! Whereas if you are a F2P player you have to gather ATLEAST 150 candles / 15 hearts every 2 weeks to get a chance of being able to afford the upcoming TS. What requires more play time in your opinion? What does TGC value more, people who play the game or people who pay for exclusive content? I guess it's a game of equilibrium...Although this decision seems to be inclining the balance on a certain side...

It may be a good way to collect to a certain level before you can buy. Seasons in beta vary a lot, we've had really short ones in the past and really long ones. The timer can be extended or shortened as needed so we can't really tell, it's up to TGC to decide and how long they need testing for

ok here is my idea on what is going on with whole TS system even tho ım late oooff: Now the debate is endless since both sides has their rights .Of course people who had bought the pass can agree since they actually paid real money and may think it is unfair because everyone else can get other cosmetics as TS for free . I really don't know if I shoulf think about current ts system as positive or negative, because candle run tought me so many lessons that even school couldn't, I am very careless person and often get bored of things quickly candle run for ts is teaching me self-discipline and consistency for even if your are bored, you have to do some effort no matter how little to get something in return, so I really enjoy candle run especially for ts with friends it's always more fun, doing candle run do feel grindy and a lot of work but in the end everyone can agree that it is always worth doing these runs and that makes us feel proud of ourselves and happy about it, I really appreciate how this game is made and communication in it, I just hope Tgc can find better solution.

This TS update is damaging, some players can save up irl money and buy passes but for people outside of America like me the AP are unaffordable because the translation to my country's currency makes the price 5 times higher. This game has given me many good memories with friends and we do candle runs but what's the point if I can't even hope to afford pay actual money. The current system is fair as it is and it has pushed me to play more sky, I have a daily goal to collect 10 candles a day for traveling spirits, but all of that will have no use now.

I really like the idea that old items become “free for all” and I personally hope it stays that way, some players really can’t afford a pass every season. That being said tho, I respect and understand tgc’s decision to lock certain items with ap, they are a business after all
Plus, those items required a pass when they were first released, it’s lucky that we were able to buy them without for the past few months

I would like to propose some alternatives here for consideration,

1. Items remains the same price while allowing pass holders to buy them at a discounted price;
2. Certain items are only for pass holders, but non current pass holders can buy them as well. (Meaning as long as you can afford one pass, you can eventually get all seasonal items);
3. Remove the whole ts system, but have a past season running simultaneously with the current one, with ap for the 2 being sold separately

It makes no sense, like the passes are unique for each season, and makes the game p2p even more. A lot of people in the past was furious about this but please understand. TGC is doing this because the new players are not able to save up enough for the ts making it hard for them TGC is making it easy for some players so they can at least have some items. Buying candles is a lot more expensive than a season pass. I'm a student who has no means to spend money online easily, but I still managed to find a way to get my pass. (Shoutout to my college friend, hehehe~)
Although, I do agree that the season pass LOCK isn't the best move/choice.

An idea me and my friends have been bouncing around is having the pass give a discount instead.
So, a season-locked TS item without the pass would be 100 candles, with the pass it would be 50.
This is just my idea though, I'm wondering what you guys thing.

Yup, the discounted candle idea seems like a win-win situation to me. As some players were stating that cr was tedious, those individuals can save time by purchasing the discount. As a result, they do not have to spend as much time candle-running. At the same time, players who are F2P can still obtain the items from ts. They will have to spend more time collecting candles. edit: im glad that it is being tested in beta first to see the feedback from players : )

I really see the point of us testing the new traveling spirit system but I think most of beta testers played the Sanctuary Season so bringing two spirtis from such a recent season is not a very good idea....most of beta testers won't have the chance of getting anything from the next two traveling spirits in test because they're from a recent season...I think it would be better for feedback if the next traveling spirits in test were TS that never came before so TGC would get the most of beta testers feedback from this huge change in TS System!

Yeah, plus this people quitting will make a butterfly effect, since 1 of the reasons the people play is because of their friends, if they quit, a butterfly effect will happen, I think everyone respects TGC thinking logic, since yea, it's stressfull to play the game 2-3 hours in a day only to get candles for your favorite cosmetics. I just don't know if the community can change something about this, since they're working soo hard on those mechanics only to dump everything on the trash.

There's a lot of gaps in those mechanics we need to think, like:

-"I buyed the season pass in that season, but the rules say I need to have the on going AP" is something i think is not fair

• From this recent TS we could have (karate dance spirit) we could see the fair changes, still a lot of candles are need to be used in this TS (oof)
• The preorder thing i said earlier, even that beta exists and spoilers and stuff, it still a pre-order of something you don't know you're going to like it, only making you panic about that and get your favorite ts itens betweeen season breaks.

I would support this mechanic but I'm scared of the butterfly effect mentioned before, and still have one more thing, what will happen with the other ts that already came for free, for the future players will be paid as well? this isn't fair.

This is what is bad, the devs want to put more importance into the AP by stripping away old benefits that the non AP holders had
