I also personally don’t see how we are supposed to be “testing” this particular feature. Everyone in beta has a season pass pretty much unless they didn’t start playing until in between seasons by sitting on their beta account for a long time.

I’ve left feedback and I’ll leave more. I leave quite a lot of feedback every time something changes. Everyone always says leave feedback but so far every single thing the player base has disagreed with has still been pushed to live. 🤷♀️

Unfortunately it does seem like some things we “test” are really just to soften the blow of it coming along anyway. It’s very disappointing to have feedback channels, and all kinda of changes made to keep players from harassing other players (sort of) and yet it seems like so many people leave feedback about things and all share the same opinion and still doesn’t get heard.

We're beta testers, not board members, so I don't expect them to come to us for every new decision about the game. After all, it's TGC's game, not ours. 
We're just here to test and let them know how a portion of the players feel.
Do I agree with the new TS system? No. But I don't think that we have to say that TGC is bad and never listens to us. They've changed a lot of things for us - like recently, the flight system was changed, so the Air Trial should be less difficult.

Beta exists because of the technical aspect of testing the gameplay. I used to feel like feedback was actually listened to about features and how they affect players and how players FEEL about new things. Now I feel it’s more for bug testing strictly and any other feedback doesn’t really get the attention it deserves.

Of course and I don’t disagree that pleasing everyone is possible. It’s not. I don’t even expect to be pleased all the time - nor am I. I hate, still, that the radar honk is gone and I’ll die on that hill forever. But I still play, I still buy season passes for myself and friends, and every single in app purchase of limited items. Changes like the TS don’t affect me - but I’m not thinking of ME. I’m thinking of all the low income and young players who will be crushed to know that they can’t just work hard and grind for candles anymore to get the cosmetics they see everyone else has. That hurts me and I’ll keep saying it. I’ll be sorely disappointed if this comes to live to appease a few players who think they aren’t special enough because they paid for the season passes and someone else didn’t. That’s just cruel.

I left the fire trial at area 3 after 14 minutes, I can say the most noticeable chances are candle spots turning into candle clusters at areas where the 🦉 passes, little warning as to what’s gonna come and a place to hunker down
Don’t worry it’s still pretty hard, there’s a reason why I left, but it doesn’t make me wanna cry anymore

Table warp takes you to the end of the level immediately (hence the 'warp' in the name). Table driving is you hold your friend's hand, your friend offers to another friend who is offering to you, and you move your table around.
Table driving needs consent. Table warping does not.

Btw, re 150 wings: most players won't be able to get it at reset, because we didn't get all TS in beta. However, there was a glitch in Eden, where a whole seasonal constellation was available and people could get wing buffs from that, making it possible to reach 150wl/11 wings.

I tried not doing checkpoint in the previous build (Not today's build). There's a bug that would teleport you back to the startpoint if you don't do checkpoint. I was gonna report it but skybot was sneep that day

It's not exactly an exploit, it's just less flying to get from candle to candle... It doesn't really do much about the economy; we still get our 17.5 candles a day so I don't think that's malicious or poor-intentioned behavior... being weird while people are talking and moving the table everywhere definitely isn't cool though.

rubberbanding across the map to farm wax is still problematic, but to reiterate: that is NOT why this change to the table was made. We actually weren't aware people were using this glitch to farm wax until after the fix went in. What I referred to as malicious behavior was people griefing strangers by warping them without their consent.

And I didn't know they used it to attack players with krill. When someone taught me the trick I could only think of the ark and the sanctuary saving time to farm. Although I am not surprised that they have used it to annoy players, as they currently use the friendship warp to bring krill to them. But I don't think it's bad to use it as a time saver to farm alone, it's like saying that having a chibi mask gives you an advantage over other players because of everything you can do with it when no one helps you at the gates.

table warp has been the most amazing feature of table so far.. when i fell of my table from difficult place to reach, i can always know i can get back to it.. now i cant anymore. and it made me so sad. please weight the pros and cons before carrying it to live huhuhu.. i think its more beneficial and not all players are malicious.

That was that main exploring tool . I newer used it for candel run. That was that only game which had more to give . Now thanks to .... It's losing its charm . I am a grown up with my one kids and I loved that this game had something more . You could go behind walls and explore . Find something New . Not all player are hire just for candel run. As a player since the first season I’ve pretty much done all I can, so tricks and challenge really liven up the game for me. I think sky is a great game, but It could really help if it had features that made the experience as fun as it used to be when I first picked up the game. This is a mobile game. It’s probably not meant to be as advanced or difficult as a regular console/computer game, simply because of the format. It is definitely different to a lot of other things available and that is amazing. But perhaps we need to be more realistic in our expectations? Ideally, I should be able to play this on my commute to work, not spend hours upon hours trying to complete a trial that has no real significance to the rest of the game (other than one heart and a wl).

Remember everyone that this the most prominent new type of gameplay that we’ve seen since the live launch. TGC are still testing the waters and who knows maybe even harder challenges will come next season but i think its a good idea to ease us into it, as it was said previously the game overall isn’t very challenging. I originally thought, the trials were meant to be, as other past seasonal quests, optional. I also thought, as their name indicates, they were meant to challenge players. It seems people have taken it to heart that if they can’t complete a trial then its difficulty should be lowered. I don’t agree with this philosophy of making everything accessible all the time. Mind you, the portals and realms act as limitations so new players can’t go to Eden or GW right away. Trials should be inherently difficult (or have a fair amount of difficulty) so as to be a part of the game you can visit when you desire to be challenged.

The fire trial was too difficult to complete solo for the majority, and with the current server glitches and even hopping onto a ghost server with no one around i think lowering the difficulty is a good choice until those main issues are ironed out

so easing on the challenge is good for the kids. because you adults may be able to tolerate 2 hours of rage, but someone younger most probably may not.

you can actually warp people besides yourself, but the way i understood it, it only works on them if they've sat in your table and thus activated your collision -- once they've done that, your table can be used on them the same way it can be used on yourself -- but it was apparently possible to do that to players who haven't even sat in your table from some of the other instances i've been reading

Yeah, that was the initial issue with collision on the table: people were being tp’d out of Home when standing on constellation platform, or just trolled by tables blocking the portals. You have to sit down for it to work now.

that might be why you're confused -- the table teleport can be done without pressing the sit button, so long as the table's collision is overlapping with your own character (chibi characters in sneak stance might be too short for that, it works best on tall characters)
that version of the teleport will also work on any player who's sat at your table once -- they don't need to try "sitting" on anything at all for you to warp them

I know 90% that that idea came from the murals alone, about how the glowy child looked like our child of light, if the prophecy is what I think it is lore wise and exists in the opening cutscene of the game, "Bring our lost stars home" would mean our job is done, the spirits would leave. Non lore wise people definitely picked up on that and got scared

Yes!! That’s how I feel as well. I also noticed they made the wind noticeably milder, and that might’ve been unnecessary as well. Although I’ve seen a lot of people complain about both of those things (even though it was before you had control over flight modes, so who knows)

I haven’t tried air trial yet in beta, only fire, thou I can say I’m more relieved the difficulty is down to worry about it being tooo easy, sky isn’t a puzzle game so there’s no point in a unbearably hard trial, if it’s really easy for you then yay ! It’s still hard for others
I’m also all in favor of a button to decide levels of difficulty, or 2 paths to take, but hmmm

We've received conflicting reports that the fix was not effective and am trying to gather more info.

for the current existing ts system tho, by adjusting the price, it's trying to find a sweet point that balance between two opinions:
new players that came late but still wanting cosmetics from past season
old players that paid effort and real money on getting those cosmetics and unwilling to see their value been decreased
putting a higher price would probably prevent new players from even thinking about getting cosmetics from ts, which is probably not the reason for introducing the system in the first place

It's a very complex situation. There are many ways that the table is used for unintended purposes.
We could patch a ton of it out but the out-of-bounds community would skin us alive.

anyways playing around a LOT with my table has confirmed: I cannot teleport myself with it solo. It requires a consenting friend who has both sat down at my table and done a specific chain of things to make it possible to teleport. I cannot teleport others with my table either withtout that specific chain of actions. if they sit and I move my table, they get left standing where the table was.

ok I played around with it a LOT and can’t get the bonfire or swing to move people without them both sitting down AND using an emote (hand, hug, etc)
