I agree with you wander, thanks for sharing your opinion on mine. As of now, you can get 19 candles per day for farming every realm (this is not even counting the quest). Even if you only do Wasteland (not Ark), Forest, Prairie you get about 12 already. So in 10 days you get 120 candles which is more than enough. Also, if you have friends you can just afk, do your work while having the game on and listen to the game’s amazing music. That actually increases my productivity. Farming for the 3 aforementioned realms take 1 hour

@unreal python I did that with my friends too, so I usually try to shorten the time and pay attention to which maps have the most candles and ignore the few maps. I think, if I spend money to not have TS later on, then they spend time creating a community in the game, intense interactions back and forth while running candle farming and unexpected meetings. create value for the game. Although that value is not denominated in cash

They expand the community market, creating a rich place for us to see. And I, seen a lot of people around me buy pass by heart, they had to give the seller 40-50 hearts and then they were cheated, the seller did not give them the pass. And if this change is passed, perhaps those traumatic scenes will play out more

I don't think that would be fair since race starts earlier for some, so they can collect more fragments than others. Also i usually wait for my friends to attach hands which also requires time to do, while others can collect.

@spark lance I do like that, I only worry about the number of light pieces for a candle. Big groups of people would have an advantage with the race compared to solo players, and I know a lot of solo players who would feel slightly left out because of that if the group work continues to stay the same if that was the new format. I also like to use the race as a race against friends. The only place really where you can be super speedy and have some friendly competition. Wax collecting would make it slower if you want to gain more candles. (Side note but, races are also the only places where you can be afk alone, and gain candle )

Little birb tells me with faster gaming with 2x,3x speed has gotten them whole realm worth of wax within an hour, eg. Valley within ten minutes, GW within fifteen. They didn’t struggle with wax collecting after a few days of fastpaced playing

Some people like kiya can handle speeding up, and then there are also me and my friends who are really slow haha. I’m the fastest of the bunch, my friend stopped for a while before crossing wasteland sometimes even tho we have the home trick for krills 🌚

@jolly saddle I find aiming for the right hand side of the final platform helps. Pretty sure there’s a wind wall in there somewhere that prevents you reaching it from some angles.

It basically means not being able to unlock certain cosmetics without an Adventure Pass. For example, you want a certain mask, but that mask was an Adventure Pass item before. If it travels back as a Travelling Spirit, you need a Pass to purchase it.

You got to remember TGC announced this proposed “change” very early in the development phase. They’re looking for feedback, or perhaps ideas on how to make TS more fair for old-time players and newcomers alike.
I’m not particularly fond of the proposed idea myself, but I’m sure there are other changes / ideas we could come with that could help TGC out in making the TS more fair overall

again, gentle reminder that this system is very early into testing. they haven't adjusted the prices yet. from what ktjn said yesterday, a majority of players purchase candle packs for ts, so by having some cosmetics be ap locked, and potentially cheaper, they save money.
of course, the biggest issue i've seen here is that f2p players don't get access to these cosmetics/emotes. this is why we give feedback and suggestions. at the moment, there are no plans for this to come to live.

Commonly in beta, they’ll announce new features that are being tested that don’t come into live for MONTHS. For example of things that have been being tested for a long time that aren’t in live: Shepherd system, portrait mode. We still probably have a long time until this possibly goes into live if it even EVER does.

been like a year or something and tgc still hasnt figured out that their core issue is product quantity. increasing candle price, establishing exclusivity and crap wont do much. the basic is there, create a system that allows player to enjoy more cosmetics (imagine 1-5k cosmetics) and later on items that are made vet-exclusive wont be too big of an issue for f2p. looking forward to see how tgc handle this

This is important. Making the cosmetics AP-exclusive actually decreases the amount of money most people will spend for them, and for every one of those, TGC will actually lose money from this. They can't make money off of it without at least tripling their sales of APs, and let's be realistic: that is not going to happen. This isn't about TGC being greedy: it's about TGC misguidedly listening to a small number of toxic players who are salty about not being able to lord their "rare" items over free players.

I've heard of people OOBing past the two gates -I've even done it myself- but this won't get you in; there's actually a third barrier that can't be OOBed through. TGC doesn't seem to mind people playing around in the area past the gates, as long as they aren't hacking the game to get into the season itself.

Hello everyone! I’m thinking about giving some feedback but I’d like to know you guys’ ideas on it? I do like the idea of having some TS items restricted to pass holders, because it adds more value to a pass and keeps certain cosmetics for paying players and still 50% for free players. Although, I think it shouldn’t be the current pass people have to buy? I know TGC said they’re not repeating seasons but what if, when a TS came in the shop there was an option to buy the season the TS is from? It’s not repeating because obviously the whole season wouldn’t come back and all you’d get is full access to all that season’s travelling spirits? (TGC also said they want to bring in ultimate rewards so thrips could be a good way to do it as well! For each season you purchase you can see its constellation but only purchase off spirits when they’re TS’s- once you’ve got everything off of all of them, you can buy the Ultimate rewards for hearts!) I just think this would be fairer than making players buy current seasons if they don’t really want the cosmetics to have full access to the TS?
for example, in not the biggest fan of prophecy cosmetics (although I’m so excited for the season because my friend Val loves the Anubis mask!!
) and if I had to buy it in order to get a TS I wanted, it would be kind of unfair...? I still would be willing to spend £10 for the pass items tho! It will take broke gang months or who knows, a year maybe, to complete all 6 spirits from 1 season, and the "grind" is real, daily, all realms, the daily tasks wont be enough. So yeah i doesn't make sense when those who paid start complaining that us who get stuff for free have it "easy", it's hard, i didnt get to get all items from so many ts, I'm waiting to see them another time in the future

It's not possible for AP cosmetics to lose value in the market, because there is no market: they cannot be traded and sold. Their only "value" lies in their ability to flex on the peasants, and there's no validity to that value anyway.

You'll spend at least 2.5-3 hours a day farming everything that is if you just farm. 2 ts visit every month so to make all the ts come, it'll take 3 months ie 90 days Now if u farm daily for 3 hours for 90 days, you spend 270 hours farming. And the ones who have privilege of buying pass just spend $10 to get it all.

about the "hard work" you need to get every seasonal cosmetics I think that it's not that much, with only 10 minutes daily you can everything easily with ap, the ap it's very valuable already and it's basically equal to "give double the amount of items before they comeback as ts, 2 exclusive ultimate gift and 70 extra candles if you play all the season" all that for 10 bucks seems fine to me, but I think tgc wants to add more value to have constant money coming

I dont know if here is where we should complain for maybe tgc to notice but I at least think this new mechanic for the ts and pass is unfair and selfish to new players, you talk about how you spent money and time but you already received your prize for that, why the need to still feel like tgc owe you. I understand how it’s unfair to older players but I believe it’s still selfish to not let the rest to enjoy what you already have. I only hope for tgc to keep both options, farming candles or just paying 😔 I’m also an older players and “I” know that, I don’t think is necessary to keep reminding people about that by having stuff they can’t, just let people enjoy the game we all like

If this was something that tgc came up completely on their own then I’d maybe accept it a little more, but I believe this is more because of old players complains and pressure on tgc about the whole ts stuff (of course tgc is the one that decides in the end but I can see you are enough to be heard by tgc) I might be wrong but this is how I see it

I don’t really think this entire discussion about the worth of whatever amount charged for adventure passes is really worth it. In the same way $10 means more in many countries, TGC is based in the US. $10 may be “cheap” here, but it also won’t get you very far in terms of paying for literally anything, especially in California. You can argue for both sides, and both sides are equally valid, but this discussion will never come to an end.

The point is, if they are paywalling the TS, then the Dev need to tell people which spirits will arrive during that season. That’s the only way I would be willing to spend on a pass anymore.

i think that’s the issue, the system not being in place from the start. because a lot of players from the beginning of live (like myself) thought that there was going to be no way to get the seasonal cosmetics back at all, that was the impression we got. that’s why i understand players from that time got annoyed from the introduction of traveling spirits. we thought they would never come back so it was like, buy adventure pass or miss out on all these items. but then ts became a thing so people who felt like they had to pay money for those items felt some type of way about it.
it’s like the same thing for this new era of players. everyone is used to the current system of ts so now again when trying to change the system, everyone has their thoughts and feelings about it

personally if this system gets approved to live, i wouldn’t play the game as often as i am now, i would log on occasionally for stress relief or new seasons, but definitely won’t be doing daily candle grinding. i wouldn’t be mad at tgc, just feel kinda unfortunate at how this game system changed over a year.

though i can definitely understand some veterans and other players’ wishes for the ap system for ts, it just doesn’t really seem like a good move for the long term imo. i can understand the argument about accepting what is free and that the social aspect is more important and i agree to an extent, but there’s only so much you can do in this game even with friends. after unlocking everything free there’s genuinely nothing left to do. you can only interact with friends so much. what are you going to do, have a chat table every day with your sky friend(s) and wander the same places over and over? the option to grind for ts is what brings at least some players back to the game because there’s honestly not much else after you finish the main story and/or constellations

HEY, THE NEW TS SYSTEM DEFINETLY WASNT REQUESTED BY VETERANS. THAT JUST DOESNT GO TOGETHERWITH VETERANS. (mostly japanese players use IAP to become better in the game. I dont think VETERANS have reason to buy candle packs for the TS if they probably already experienced the spirit while the seasonwas live.)

My English is not good but I want to say my opinion; You must do justice between us; As a new player, I try to collect candles daily, and even some traveling spirits I cannot pay some of their items because my candles are few, knowing that each spirit requires 100 candles or more.
But if the player is a veteran, make his traveling spirit free, because it is possible that he could not took the items, but for example I do not want buy the season, but I want to collect items from the old seasons and this is what makes it unfair!

I’d also like to point out, we’re not getting the traveling spirit items completely free. I’ve spent days working to collect all those candles to get all the traveling spirit items, that is not free. Working hard and spending time on something does not equal free. The only time something equals free is if you don’t have to put ANYTHING into getting it, like you immediately get it without working or paying. Nothing on Sky is really free, not even constellations, it’s all a balance of either you can pay or you can work and I’d like it if both of those options would stay.
