People assumed that the pants would be free, because on the screen that described this season, the pants were not in a node with the AP emblem.
It was basically just speculation, to my understanding, since we didn't actually have the spirit until now.

Best thing to do with new updates is to play them, and see what other people say in here. Ktjn probably hasn't made a beta updates post yet because sneep and/or super busy with other things. Beta is just one area of her job.

Beta and Live versions of Sky are completely separate apps. Progress/purchases in one have no effect on progress/purchases in another.

We don’t know when the season will go live. It depends on how testing goes. And yes, you have to start from being a moth in Beta, there’s no way to import your live account.

Beta updates channel is literally updated manually by Ktjn and sometimes she just doesn't have the time or there isn't much else to say than what it already does.
I would say, always try to check any bug you've previously reported to see if something has changed in a new build. For example, the invisibility bug is still here, for me at least.

I think people are just confused because typically there's something in beta-updates for every single build, and we just got several builds back to back with no announcement.

Of course, with so many consecutive builds, it's really difficult to cover each one. If I were Ktjn, my fingers would probably be on fire.

In my experience, there isn't always something in beta-updates, especially when there are these many small bug fix updates in a row. I think Ktjn even said it's not really worth the time to write it out.

sooo is the Fire Trial balanced now? I managed to finish it, but I had help from a stranger. The fire dust bunnies can be dodged now, except in narrow spaces where you just have to get through asap before a dust bunny passes by. I’ve yet to test if it’s balanced now for solo adventurers, but err, I keep getting paired with others on that trial.

@green kayak if you're talking about those platforms that have candles you light and once lit it creates a directional gust of wind near the end: switch flight mode to glide IMMEDIATELY, don't wait for auto switch. aim directly for the platform that has the candles, it's a little easier to ride the wind than it is to land.

@plucky chasm no you have to be a beta tester signed up through the invite waves to be able to download beta. the announcement regarding the fix for android was for those who were already testers but had issues with downloading because of google. the issue is resolved but no new invite spots have opened. go into #beta-faq to learn how to sign up for pings when the next invite wave comes if you want to beta test

Android beta is capped, but when people leave the program, someone else can join in. Unlike iOS, where you leave the program that slot doesn't open back up. This is likely what's happening right now.

@opal charm didn't see anyone answer your question, but when you first relive a spirit's memories, there's a short period after the spirit leaves where you can't move for a while as you hear a bell in the distance (think it's the spirit travelling to the temple) -- that's normal; if you can't move for more than a minute after finishing the relive quest though, that sounds like a bug

New moths haven’t collected wl yet, so they have no light, therefore no cape. In orbit, when you recollect your wl you get your cape back. For when our capes rip, I guess that’s just the light being injured/disappearing by darkness

Alternatively, they've been very careful to always talk about "unintended" skips. Maybe this one is deliberate?

I think the air trial is a good case of work smarter not harder? Cause in order to cheese the last part you already need to do most of the trial, they may have kept specific skips to encourage that while still making it hard

I popped into the lore chat once. I did not come prepared. It was before I got into beta, but I will say this: I called it. I suggested that the season was the backstory of the prophecy foretelling the downfall of the realms. Folks weren't too sure, but at least to me it made the most sense.

Thats why I stopped by the lore channel. I was trying to figure out what prophecy could be. I kept thinking about it and thinking about it. Trying to figure how it could tie in. We all know Sky isn't going anywhere, so I knew that wasn't it. The season in Orbit idea didn't sound plausible either. And for me it being the prequel so to speak was an "ah-ha!" Moment.

@dapper ginkgo thats one bug i havent seen since lightseekers i think back then sometimes any hat would glitch out and appear discolored, then that would happen, the hat would mess with the graphics. other player's hats could glitch out on your end too. tl;dr hats are dangerous in sky

I actually still find the halo very bright and a little annoying at times... and I tend to also prefer simpler masks - which is why the spider one is my favorite. It feels like a mask - instead of like a spider face? Idk, I guess I prefer masks that feel like flat masks.
As for the drum, I tend to keep on me items that are functional - like the chair or the firework staff. Plus, it’s more a backup instrument than a main instrument, so I wouldn’t be carrying it for that reason too. I can’t really make much music with it :|

Purple's symbol looks like a dark crystal, and the other four symbols match to elements (though the green symbol is upside down; in that orientation it's the alchemical symbol for Air, not Earth). But I don't recall any spirals other than in the creatures' eyes.

Voluntary, you know that super weird ledge right after the ramp that you can fall on if you jump off the ramp instead of glide, you know where thats the area the clouds start right? Well in the clouds is the opening to the cave, its marked by a dark spot in the clouds similar to the one between prairie social and butterfly fields, a little farther from the dirty spot is a few stone pillars
Honestly if you just walk along that ledge youll see it, its to the right of the area,
I guess think of where sassy stance was, or if you werent around for her two returns its on the side of that One winged light

imo prophecy is completely disconnected from the rest of the world as it happens in the past- so i dont think that the red swirl has references to the fluffies' eyes
