Oh I knew it was going to be iap, but I assumed it was going to be 4.99 USD like the earth cape was, if everything was 4.99 it would only be around 20 USD total for everything which is much more reasonable than 50 USD

I understand tgc based prices off how long it took to make the item, but earth cape was for charity and it cost less than this
I don’t think any one item should cost as much or more than the pass, why pay for one item when you can pay for several items right away

i understand that TGC needs money as much as we do - they need to pay their employees fairly and feed themselves and pay their own rent. i think their time and effort put into making these cosmetics should be taken into account too, but i also think us consumers should be considered. i just hope they can find a good pricing that works for us as well as them

there's probably a lot of feedback already, but if you guys haven't already, make sure to take the time to submit some feedback about the prices (mention the high prices in your regions too maybe). it's up to TGC to change them but they do look at the feedback channel and very much consider player suggestions.

It's not just paying Tgc salary, please remember that although sky is free to play it is not free to run. I played another popular mobile game and my friend there estimated it cost a million a year to keep servers up. I'm not sure about sky's annual server cost but for a game with millions of downloads it probably isn't cheap

It's ok not to buy them too. As pretty as the Halloween stuff is, if the price that hits live is something you don't agree with despite the beta feedback sent, along with live feedback, not buying it sends a message to Tgc as well. 
Also another reason why adventure pass is priced that way is also because there are players buy seasonals candle packs. Some buy $100-$90 day 1 to get everything instantly. Others buy at the end of season. Not everyone is strictly spending $10

I think it will be very difficult for TGC to price their IAP so that it is "fair" in all currencies around the world, considering that they have no control over local politics and financial decisions. It's just going to be a sad reality of life right now.

Watch and memorize the smoke dudes’ paths. Stand on a candle and make sure you’re fully lit at all times. And pray to Anubis while you’re at it

@raw folio If you're in the section I think you are, if you walk to the 3rd candle after the shrine and wait, there is a small alcove to your right, you can duck in there as the creature is passing by and then head to the 4th

I haven't completed air, earth or fire trial since the latest update. I just lose interest after trying for 10-15 times when the game isn't predictable enough for me to find a pattern. There is no satisfaction in doing something that doesn't require skills, only luck.

@mossy tree The alcove is on the 2nd level, with the corridor of candles and the dark creatures flying down. If you count 3 candles from the shrine, there is a small alcove that you can duck into and then jump to the 4th and you should be able to survive to get out of the corridor

I had no crash or any kind of unexpected thing in eden today.
I tried very hard to get all the spirits and i was wearing as may current seasonal items as i could, but eden was smooth.
However i crashed a lot in different parts of forest especially in the temple. Nobody beeped cause i was with a big group of friends who wanted to avoid the crashes as much as me
Edit: Space station worked fine too. One of the office krill's attack crashed my game tho.

@outer ibex no they are not impossible. They are challenging so that you take a lot of time to master them (and a lot of people to learn how to master them from), so you won’t get bored. The air one had some more difficult jumps this time around, especially with the wind currents. I personally found it OK, except for one jump in particular where I got stuck for a bit. It's really learning how to finely control your movements and time your jumps, though
although I did cheese the very last few jumps by riding an air current to the shrine 
And yeah, it's possible to die right after reviving. The place where I got stuck, I would occasionally fall right off the edge because the spawn was so close.

Finally completed fire trial solo today, took around an hour. Was able to struggle through second level without any glitches, just timing it right. Third level was just impossible, so ended up using the glitch where on iOS you swipe up to enter the mutitasking screen with cards for running apps. Just like when using that trick with krill, you don't lose your light and when you re-enter the app, you can stand back up and continue. Left feedback on it already (hope a glitch won't be necessary in the future!), but thought I'd mention it here too!

I was doing fire trial and whenever i burned out or a fluffy went through me i became grey and the screen started shaking. However I’ve never been thrown back to any kind of checkpoint. I only needed to go back to my last candle recharge and the shaking stopped and i could walk to light the next candle.

Doea anyone think the beta prices will remain the same? I personally think they are too high and am curious if the live will be lowered. Last year the pumpkin and cape were sold separate for around 5USD and to see the new items worth more and The older ones even more as well leaves me confused. I am all for supporting tgc i love them and the team but for this to be more expensive than a season pass or friend bundle that includes way more cosmetics and items just seems strange to me? Im going to buy the halloween cosmetics in live but, i really feel bad for others that cant have them due to their own financial situation. I dont want to wear it in front of my close sky friends knowing that they couldnt get it. Even if they dont mind much, i still feel so bad. someone made a comment yesterday about why Jenova Chen chose to price the swing so high - it's because the swing was something that was just outside the aesthetic for Sky and therefore they wanted to price it so it was somewhat rarer, if I remember correctly
They also priced the lantern so high because of how much work went into it

Supporting TGC lies much deeper than the IAPs. Sky’s grown so much from just attracting players from how the game looks alone. IAPs are more a added bonus than anything, and no one should feel like they “have to get it to look cool”. You are cool, with or without them

with the exception of Rhythm pants and Enchantment tassels, I've been really enjoying the regular cosmetics, especially the purple cape and paintbrush/pineapple hair
TGC also does a great job (with the help of beta testers) balancing the pass-only and non-pass cosmetics

Yea that’s another feedback I submitted too, I don’t really like that both the spider and bat capes are almost identical in color... plus the design on the bat cape is beautiful but it really does look plain, but I still like it better than the spider cape’s color combo sighhh

They’re very identifical... one looks like it has slightly more blue — hence a blue red purple and the other one has slightly higher tingent of red in it, hence appearing more purple pink instead... but at the end when you put two people with the cape next to each other, the cape colors look very similar..

I like the tone of the witch hat, but the cape seems a little different from the concept design that they showed on the blog. The spider webs seem to be more visible on the concept than it is on the actual item itself, also the green is nice but I feel like it should be kind of like a faded white or a deep purple.
And I noticed that!! The capes for this season are very beautiful and fit in with the color palette of the Isle.

Clouds are purple - pink - blue - dark blue - peach - white.

Just a tip for flying trial. Despite your lack of cape the flight controls all still work as normal, you will just experience an accelerated drop off. Be sure to dive down onto your targets if you can tell you are overshooting.

It is a respawn of "Trial of Air", but if it falls on a scaffold that has already passed, it will restart from that scaffold. It's very tiring.

That’s a bug Eri, be sure to report it Also if you hop skip jump off right away it should not recognise it and the bug won’t manifest. Atleast that’s what I found when I tried the trail in its first iteration. In the most recent one it had already respawned me back up before I fell far enough to hit another platform. Perhaps some connection issues?

I’ve seen people saying that there isn’t really a point to report every spirit bug like that you encounter, so I’m not entirely sure if I should report them.

If you're solo, the worms still kill you even directly on a candle. You can only solo it if you're good at dodging and don't mind don't dying with nearly every candle you light I've done it but honestly not planning on solo again any time soon

We usually refer to glitches as things that for example let you pass through a multiplayer door when you are alone, ie chibi fall. Those don't need to be reported. A bug is something that is unintentional and disruptive to gameplay.

ya standing on candles are no longer safe... you gotta look for candles that the krill farts doesn't pass by. try to zoom out and then look down you should be able to see how they move around better and spot which candles are safe to stay on

@ancient raven most likely a bug, fire prophet from the teaser art is fairly large so theres probably complications with that

Uhm excuse me but TGC released 2 seasons (soon 3), in-season events and was never late with TS, and many other countless stuff amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
Difference in cosmetics has nothing to do with game play and everyone can enjoy all levels and areas (with the limited exclusion of ||The Office||)
A player with the (say) witch hat, deer mask and bat cape, with 10 wedges will fly just the same with a non-purchasing player with 10 wedges in a brown cape and moth hair.
Some games even require special and expensive consoles...
Meanwhile Sky is completely free to be played by all AND it is a game with no ads
So who are we to complain really

yeah i definitely understand that it keeps the game running but for what we get i don’t think the items are substantial enough for the price tag they garner if the team need money this much i’d rather support them in other ways than watch a lot of people miss out
@hasty vessel I do think they would make more money if prices were lower as these cosmetics are really nice but a lot of us can't afford them

cosmetics and customization just happens to be an efficient and popular way of finding revenue; same goes to stuff like Among Us's pets or smt

And non-purchasing players have to deal with ads...
at least we get something nice out of our purchases. Something actually useful and we enjoy wearing..
The non-existence of ads and the no need of special consoles truly make this game one the best I have ever played.

There is some sort of collector mindset in many games and I was thinking back on Jenova’s comment about the swing, maybe they set the price high to destroy that mindset because once you missed out on one thing, you kinda start being ok with missing out on other thing instead of breaking your bank trying to “complete” a collection.

While I love sky and TGC, these items are definitely a bit pricey. And if I were a new player and saw those prices for said cute items, I don’t think I would want to play because seeing that can put the idea that “oh they’re just like every other game that makes it expensive to get items,” which is definitely NOT the case. Cosmetics are a big part of the game and it gives the option to express yourself. You don’t have to buy the items if you don’t have enough money, but it still hurts knowing other people can afford those amazing items and you can’t. Making them more affordable can reach new players and keep older players happy. But that’s just me

@strong canopy i guess the merch shop for one was a great way to support the game by other means, i just think it would be nice if they could redirect these “limited” items to something else in order for the wider community to enjoy them instead of catering only to players who have the money to buy them. yes the game is free, i know! but why not allow events come with their own select quests and candles for players who don’t have the money but do have the time to hop on each day collect some candles and complete some quests and get the item at the end of the event?

lets remember that 3d modeling, concept art, rendering and all that brings the items to game takes a lot of time and even money. the prices are really kinda expensive but also good to the thing they're offering
