Forest even drum isn't possible even accounting for bugged preorder. aside from 6 (I think that's what Ktjn said) players who got infinite pass bug again, the most people got bugged preorder candles was 80. max legitimately earned by today is 106, max with bugged candles is 156 not enough for drum but can have 1 and a portion of a second spirit complete

any static emote you press while flying will cause you to drop to the ground in the dead position that the krills don't notice you in (like how if you remain lying down after getting hit by one krill a second one won't notice you). point and butterfly catcher are close enough to the top to achieve this with some practice on two handed mode or very easily with one handed mode

Burning plant can get messy ...every krill ends up on you all if u take too long ...my friend screams at one krill so imagine 3 lol ..then it’s a endless home button loop cycle almost unless you want the plant to grow back then you can fly off

Everyone here needs to not complain about TGC I see a lot of sky players on YouTube and stuff who do complain about them but they work super hard for the game to have seasons traveling spirits, millions of players and they have to run social media and take care of hackers. Having bugs in air trial there were 3 of us all having the same issue, reported bug

TGC has a lot of work to do to refine these trials, it has to be really difficult to narrow down the problems, I have a lot of respect and patience so they can get the game as perfect as possible

xani, if you're running the fire trial solo, be prepared to die a few times -- what's important is making sure you try and light candles between each death, so your path is progressing forward even if you're dying

I think for some it’s frustrating because everything has been made so easy so far, in the beginning before praire was changed you had to work a lot harder. In wasteland the krill were much harder to get around too, like at the boat, the krill light hit all over the top of the boat so you could not just fly over. My point, the players are wanting more, but have to work on this one, something they are not used to in sky.

In the 3rd area the one krill used to patrol over the top of the boat, so you could not just jump up on the center and fly, had to be a lot more careful especially getting the spirit, it also came into the middle where the spirit finishes

Yes, in the beginning you could not get all winged light withou a buddy, because some were too high to get up to, you’d, loose light before you reached them, so you got all you could went to eden, got stronger and over and over you went

Ok been testing around with fire trial:
If you return home on lvl 1, then use the return shrine, you start at the entrance of the blob cave. This is for any point before the gates, if you go thru the gate to level 2, the return shrine wi drop you at that gate, instead of what it did in the previous build which was drop you at an extinguished checkpoint lantern and die forever

The only part of the trials I didn’t like is the horizontal geysers. When “falling” after getting launched, it’s easy to overcompensate and go way off course. It felt almost random whether I had control or not and so aiming for the next platform was a pain in the neck.

On the Earth trial, I loved the long chain of floating blocks that you can’t just dash through! But I can understand why that spot would be really frustrating to some.

It was never 99 hearts, it did have 99 ascended candle lock when it was on the forest constellation in addition to the 999 heart price tag. People have either coordinated heart trades with beta friends (especially when heart gifts were doubled for a while), hacked, or exploited the AP preorder bug to gets tons of candles that converted to regular candles for a short period and traded like crazy to get it.

Have you tried sitting on top of the candle as soon as you sense one of the monsters is nearby (like the screen starts to shake, etc.)? I started playing through the Trial of Fire with the emote menu always open. I can access my red candle and immediately hit the sit button as well.

I've found that sitting on top of the red candles will help you survive a tiny bit more. Of course it doesn't always work, but it's better than standing and getting enveloped in smoke

Ok that’s the tips they gave me, some ones from myself would be: 1, definitely take a friend! 2, it’s ok to die a couple times, whenever we died and got sent back to the nearest checkpoint I’d take the lead and RUN back to where we left off, I think you can also just jump out of the worm’s way? I’ve done it before but I dunno for sure. 3, LIGHT EVERYTHING YOU CAN! The most annoying thing is getting to a checkpoint but the worm kills us just before we can light it, that’s about it

You don’t have to be so harsh on yourself especially to go so far as to drop a ton of money to switch to a phone that you don’t like. There’s plenty of people who haven’t been able to get in and that’s fine. It’s also encouraged to test beta when you are able to: whether it’s if you’re able to download, or if you have free time, or if you’ve got the energy. Plenty of people sign up for beta but due to IRL responsibilities they have to take a break. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Playing sky and contributing to it doesn’t just mean beta testing, if you’re a super kind and helpful ingame player in Live... you also enrich the community itself

I wouldn't take your inability to test as a failure; Google being wonky is completely out of your control. And I'm sure the people at TGC aren't looking at your approved tester page like, "wow, look at Red! they haven't played beta at all! how horrible!' ...Like, there are people who go to beta only for the new season and leave right after. You're just one of the unlucky group who can't get Google to cooperate. And that's OK.

Honestly Red: beta gets super active when it’s season testing time but afterwards it quiets down a lot, there’s the occasional stuff to test but that’s it really. Most of the focus is on Live, and if there’s a ton of feedback from live players about a certain thing, TGC will consider it seriously (like how they got rid of honklocation and made tables ghost to decrease griefing) after something is finished beta and hits live, it doesn’t mean it’s set in stone at all. You can still contribute

Eren, try not to stress so much over this one trial! Take a break, breathe, and come back to it another day.
When you're worked up and stressed, you aren't playing your best anyways. It'll make it harder to succeed. So try to step away, give yourself time to relax and calm down, and then tackle it at full capacity. You'll get it!

Pro tip in doing the trial of fire, you need to look at the floor, so you can see immediately the red candles to be lit, and deep-honk! That way you can see the weird-looking ghost owls on your way

I take my beta "responsibilities" seriously, as I know about the people who abandon beta after they've seen all the new content, and are just there to see it early. I dont want to be one of those people. I really do love sky, and I want to help fix some bugs that could hamper the experience for myself and others. I've never been able to download beta, despite me getting in a few months ago. I want to help, but Google is making it impossible to do so. It feels upsetting sometimes when I see the sky beta google play page, and it still keeps me out. One day, this will be fixed, but for now, I will stay out.

Don’t worry about those people too much, even if they don’t submit bug reports or feedback, there’s lots of internal workings in games that measure different sorts of stats (like in a gnomon talk they know there was a huge player drop off in forest/wasteland because of the difficulty) in their own ways, everyone playing contributes. So from what I noticed- part 2 of the Fire Trial you can try to move away from the worm a bit by inching away from their direction but still be in the light, part 3 of the trial what worked for me is to stand directly on top of the candle (maybe this might help ; w ;;)

Spirit of fire is bugged and Ktjn stated in #beta-known-issues it requires an update before he is available. It was also stated earlier today, this next update is a polish update, so he might appear then. Let's just cross our fingers and give the fire spirit the time to come to terms about losing his pants.

You don’t need to friend someone to report them. You just need to light them up, open the friendship tree and on the lowest branch to the right, 2 stars up. It’ll just look like a diamond but that’s the report button

Kuro, I always "share" to skybot once you get to that portion using my photos app. Keep in mind upload limit via DMs, so it might be best to upload a large video to #beta-screenshots-videos if your video is too large to share in DM by linking it in the 800 character limit section. Iirc 8mb is the limit of you don't have Nitro and 80mb if you have nitro.

has anyone tried the crab call spell in sanctuary's crab cave? i wonder if it will work well considering how those crabs seem to be way more aggressive... i'm curious! i'd try it myself just for fun but that spell sadly is one of the buggy spells when used on my device.

You could also use a "video compressing" type app as most bugs don't need to be super duper high quality or 1080p. Reducing to 480p and lowering quality might help get in that size limit.

I couldn’t really get the crab call to work in Sanc, but it worked it the small cave in Forest. Maybe it’s me, but the delay in finding the spell, clicking it and confirming it doesn’t help.

Yes, please do so. I just sent a video in #beta-screenshots-videos of a player doing the same thing and they were way too far from the Quest Giver. (Also if you are super new to beta there’s only 2 things in the game that’s buyable so for that to go on for 50 sec is suspicious).

I met a new friend and we went to fire trial, we was walking along lighting candles as you do
The fireball come from nowhere and frazzled me -my new friend said omg cotton eye joe
I said where did he come from
My new friend said where did he go
Then we both said where did you come from cotton eye joe ..😂😂
We both laughed anyways
