@sullen relic Science is good too. Me and my friends had a lot if fun trying out the lanterb in a bunch of different ways. Whatever we could imagine. Some of them was absolutely useless, others are super awful to watch, and some was really good. Totally worth trying things out in every way and later on you can share your experiences not juat with the devs but the players too when ceratin features will be present in live.

@lone hollow I don't know, man. I've seen people in there who got their tester status as far ago as the sanctuary season invinltes and ended up not getting the download button at all. I'm waiting as well and really do hope that it's not our case, but hope for the best and prepare for the worst is a pretty good strategy, all I'm saying.

There is no estimated time because this is completely Google's fault and they've gone silent on us. Everyone's device gets it at different times, there's genuinely just no way of knowing.

Once Google finally responds to TGC (or just actually updates their store front), there may be a fix. For now we're kind of stuck waiting unfortunately.

There is no season area to bug into because it doesn't exist yet. The current build doesn't have it. That's why the cutscene kept bugging out because there weren't any assets to show.

I was having volume issues on my iPad for the longest time - it was only this app that had no sound playing from the external speakers... like YouTube everything was working fine, plus, my iPad doesn’t have a mute/un-mute toggle anywhere either...

But it turns out there’s a silent mode soft toggle that was turned on all this time... it doesn’t affect any of the other apps that play music, only sky tho

Use the link in #beta-faq to check if you're a tester. If you are its okay, you still are. Google is just incredibly slow.

You can contact them and see if troubleshooting works. They cannot change your status as a tester though. If their steps don't work you just have to be patient and that's all you can do. It doesn't hurt to try at least. At the end of the process if it doesn't work, they will tell you to contact TGC and give the help email. TGC is already aware and has reached out to google, so there is no need to email if google support directs you to that step.

The logical reason, for development purposes, is to restrict by device uniqueness.(I.E. only allow x of each device) That's too obvious though. In reality, we do not know and any guess is just as wrong as the next.

You can check your meter in your friend constellation, its the heart icon at the top right corner

I don’t think there is a way to reduce the meter, but the purpose is basically to show that you are an experienced player for new sky players. When the bar is full, it’ll show “shepherd” although I could try cursing and see if it goes down..

If they return your chirps and seem excited to see you (they chirp a lot), they almost certainly need help or would at least like someone else to play with. If they stick around but don’t offer you friendship in about a minute, they may not have a candle, so offer them friendship yourself. When they accept, offer them your hand, and away you go with your new BFF! ☺️

@slim kayak For friends that aren’t in the current Beta, you can click to block them (not forever, just for now) and that tends to make those friends disappear from your constellation. You can unblock them in the next Beta to see if any have come back. (I do that in Live with friends who don’t play anymore, unblocking occasionally to see if they’re back again.) You can also remove the “close friends” toggle for inactive players and only give it to people who are lighting your friend star in the current Beta. That usually makes inactive players gradually get shuffled off the constellation.

@spark lance The day the new season starts in Beta, that’s when you’ll have the best chance. Tons of testers will be on. Your 2nd best chance will be the first day of the season that quests are in Vault, because everyone will be wanting to get all the seasonal candles.

Sky: Light Awaits was just the version of the game before global launch. It was available in only five countries (Philippines, Singapore, New Zealand, Norway, and Sweden...pretty sure I still remember that correctly), and those players continued their progress after the name change.

Once you tap on a spell, you quickly swipe up a bit. That way the UI box won't disappear.

Many of the bugs being reported now are quite old and have already been reported. Although, it may help TGC narrow it down, seeing what type of devices experience the issues.

Well two bugs I found was if you collect a winged light its meant to recharge your wedges to full. If you flap at the wrong time it wont recharge at all (may take a few attempts)

And the second was if you have lantern the item equipped and try to use a spell like fireworks the spell will bug and be unusable but will still take away one spell count.

I'll be sure to report both later tonight too since I may have forgotten yesterday after noticing. (This is what we have note pads for right? XD)

That's a good thing. This beta build is very similar to live. So best thing to do it check live and see if the big exists there. I found a few on both platforms, but I think it's mainly due to Android 11 coming out that these showed up for me.

A bug can be anything, odd texture , a graphic that looks weird or the lights not behaving right. Like there was a graphical bug that made it to live before they fixed it, where all lights flashed back and forth oddly, and your personal glow blinked like a bad street lamp. They fixed it a couple builds later.

If the game doesn't behave like you expect it to, it's a bug.

(We also look for Game breaking holes in the map, not oob holes, like actual holes that ruin your experience that force you to port home/reload the game)

I completed Forest in beta earlier (don’t ask, long story) and there was no button to buy the Elder hair after the invisicape was removed from whale call spirit. I have reported this over at least two patches, but unfortunately it made it into Live.

you can also try breathing exercises to sleep! i like ones that gradually get longer it eases your mind.
and @green marsh i usually report them for beta if i see them in beta, it still helps the team and you can add into additional notes that this is also in live

I got the seasonal pass before the crash was fixed I yeeted as fast as I could into prairie so I could collect my wing lights after an eden trip I took the night before the crash bug occurred. I always check IAP shop when I log in so I bought the pass because it was there

quick tip for anyone wanting to run eden on both their live and beta accounts: you can enter stormlock before reset (even with all the statues already done, but don't actually give light to any of the statues on your prep run), logout, then log back in after reset and all the statues will have respawned -- great way of saving time by prepping yourself in stormlock before reset, so you don't have to bother climbing the first two parts of eden on the new day

@desert mango I believe that sharing beta content on YouTube is allowed, but be sure to put it is beta content, includes spoilers and is subject to change at the start of the video. Do not share (or attempt to obtain) content that is not accessible in beta or live though as the means for getting this content violates TOS.

I almost forgot to mention that i figured out a way to be able to use the lantern and a candle at the same time. Idk if anyone wrote this before if yes sorry.
Take out your lantern then open the emote menu and scroll down fast. Make sure you touch the high candle icon while doing this.

Anyone on Android beta? Did you guys game crash when switching graphic setting? This situation happens to me, when you rapidly switch the graphic setting you will have 80% chance to crash. This happened in both beta and live.
'rapid' means 800ms a click

To be considered bug-free game shouldn't crash even under such stress. A workaround, if it's impossible to not crash under rapid setting change, is to impose a delay. Of course, it's better to modify the UI so user can change to desired graphic setting directly.
