this is the current functionality due to some game engine constraints. It's not that we don't want this functionality, it's just not possible right now. The lantern shares rigging/logic with the Umbrella, which suffers from the same issue. It's not an easy fix, but the team is working on it. We wanted to be transparent on the Lantern's features ahead of time.

@stark sundial I'm not an iphone person but there are androids that expensive too (my galaxy note 10 for instance was almost 1k USD) I don't think that iphones are easier to code for individually but androids are all so different from each other it's hard to code for them as a group. plus like google is slow 🤣

Yes, previous seasons were in some ways more difficult to complete than they are now, so it's understandable some veterans may want to keep those ultimate rewards exclusive.
