@main cradle now you've removed the regular member role but kept beta. Make sure you keep the candle reaction and remove the cape one if you don't want beta pings

and if you don't see both reactions in that channel, try reloading discord

If you’re logged in through GameCenter, your data is already backed up. I think TestFlight should also save your apps as long as they’re not expired. You just have to reinstall

It's meant to be a silly item and prohibitively expensive, which is why there was a 99 Ascended Candle lock tied to it as well as the 999 Heart cost. Not having a cape and being able to fly is immersion breaking and exposes some of the rigging wonkiness of the skykid character model. For the time being, it is only a beta easter egg.

On the subject of how to make a game that keeps players engaged by adding content without IAP all over the place I thoroughly recommend looking at Sneaky Sasquatch on Apple Arcade. It’s done very well. The added content fits into the narrative and story, provides the player with new content to explore, new skills and cosmetics that only cost in-game, and it’s fun. I know Sky is a multiplayer game with social goals but I really think it would have been a better story telling experience and one that would have engaged without the obsession with cosmetics above all else. The world of sky has a story. We can only guess at it and the seasons really don’t add to it in a cohesive way. Each season feels like a “what if” bandaged onto the side of the original without it truly being a part. Sky should aim for a synergistic experience. I know Sky is just as important to the Android community but I really think it missed the boat when it went IAP crazy and didn’t join Apple Arcade. It would have provided opportunities that are no longer available. For all the well deserved awards Sky gets for the amazing technical and visual feats achieved by the game it ultimately fails. I’m feeling so down that the game hasn’t grown or matured. I think as Ktjn has suggested, it’s time for me to stop playing. I wish the best to the team. You’ve done amazing work.

beta is a testing environment, so it's mostly the same as the regular game, except it has a handful of features and/or improvements that are being tested. it tends to be buggier than the regular game, and not many people beta test so it feels very empty.

re: the colored light daily quests, it's spelled out in patch notes and i know i told you directly when you asked during that first week in beta. figured you'd write it down for your guides and whatnot.
I'm not sure what the long term plans for the rainbow daily quests yet, if y'all like them post in feedback and i can bring the suggestion to the dev team to add them to the rotation.
