I have had my beta account since Prophecy. I have found joy in testing with everyone, from the pink Assembly equipment that we made memes with, to working out what the chevron system was exactly (maths in sky? Scary-) to flying at a wind barrier for 2 hours to get into the dreams village.

Whether you were there, whether you watched or whether you've been here to say goodbye with the rest of us, may your skids relax from the bug-filled journey you've nourished them through.

Since then I have met plenty of people on Sky and kept in touch properly because of discord, even meeting my best friend and eventually meeting them in real life

So all those testing out the new season and third input on how to improve it means absolutely nothing. Not to mention that they are shutting it down mid season. I've never posted spoilers as a beta tester and feel that you're punishing the beta testers who don't post spoilers because of the few that do. It's just not right. And it's really freaking weird because didn't you just fawn over the ones who did post spoilers. I specifically remember something where you were recognizing and saying how great skylina and nasty mold and etc. were doing great things with their channels. It's really freaking weird.

Please also be respectful over it, and be mindful of the fact that the new service is standard procedure for video game betas, particularly live service games. It was bound to happen. It sounds harsh but games usually keep beta content locked under nda (many do this and tgc was one of several exceptions). Thats the disadvantage as well, by spreading beta content early non testers could make baseless rumors on the cosmetic or season outcome which did not do well for tgc. Plus, there is live content to work with, and we just have to trust tgc gives enough communication like a catalogue for example

I will say I do have a bit of hesitation just because a lot of big changes happened because outside people were notified of it. Like the cat hair change. I don’t want to be that guy, but I’m not entirely sure about keeping it all behind closed doors considering some decisions in the past

However having a closed beta is definitely very nice. And I do appreciate the resetting as to not make beta just the “gatekept sky game you can only play if your lucky”

I see positives in this. But my negative experience with game/mostly community has made this kinda bittersweet to me

Going to leave a thanks here for my dear friend Ming. He passed away I believe it was last year sadly, due to a terminal illness. He was so kind hearted and without him I never would have obtained the 999 hearts invisible cape. I’d say alot of it came from people also outside the usual beta sphere. Which Is why I appreciated the openness of beta. It allowed for all the player base to input their opinions.
