Capes have always been igc for bloom. To change it up would be a disappointment for many who like collecting the capes. The umbrella is lovely though and I wish it was igc, but I don't think that would happen.

It would be better to ask for more umbrella props that are igc in general.

Where the tickets are is being indicated by a “honk” almost. So if you look around in the area, you’ll see that some places honk.

There are 3 places where you’d need to get struck by lightning , 1 ticket is after interacting with the guide and 1 ticket is under water.

I'm gonna share my opinion about the umbrella not being IGC
I honestly prefer it being IAP since it's an accessory that only works in one realm being forest and outside that for me it's not worth wearing all the time that's why im glad they are going to keep the cape as IGC since a cape you can wear it all the time without having to worry about only being useful in one area and it's easier to combine with other outfits and cosmetics

To everyone calling it a water lily cape, when I claimed it from the shop menu it said Calla Lily - not water lily, not peace lily, etc. my mother has these in her garden and they are very recognizable. The confusion makes sense since everyone is seeing lily pads in peaks.

Also water lilies look so different and even are different than lotus flowers but similar. This is sky world so I guess it doesn't really matter what flower it is 😂 but the lilies on the lily pads are not the way they look irl.

But the removal of 50 likes to a heart conversion is not very ideal, since most people don’t have excess funds. 3 candles is 1/6 of your daily funds if you’re running the max.

As long as the option to give funds is “out of the way” and doesn’t seem like an obligation of any sort, since the vast majority of new players in live will not be able to give 3 candles to non-friends. It’s simply not in their budget.

Honestly, in the long run, I don't really see it being much of a difference - if anything, it might be a hinderance to a good bit of the live playerbase. Again, we have to remember that a lot of things in sky still cost candles, and are usually expensive at that. People are less likely to put their candles towards hearts for player creations than they are for cosmetics - especially now that there's more and more newer players like myself who have so much more to buy if we want a lot of variety. It might be better suited towards older players who have less to buy or don't really care as much to buy the igc items, sure, but people are more likely to be stingy with their candles and not send creators hearts in the long run than what might actually be realised.

this is a neat idea in theory, but in practice in the live version of the game? I worry about how quickly it might end up becoming less and less used

I said earlier its a way for vets to burn their excess candles now. But for those constantly grinding then having this its just more candles. The tickets are a nice addition to sky so its less consuming but travelling spirits are still extremely expensive. And as far as im aware they are all over 100 candles in cost for all items in their tree.

Ive played sky since light awaits, and came back every so often when i took a massive break (end of flight im fully back) and the difference between then and now is insane. I have pretty much no candles. Plenty of hearts thankfully but the prices are just too high. Maybe spending one Ascended candle would be more ideal for this new feature. The only use for AC is unlocking more WL in eden, friendship tree and buying tickets or getting elder items.

I genuinely worry that this might be a feature that collects more dust on it faster than what might be forecasted, considering a) how hard it is to hold onto candles in Live, particularly for the newer playerbase, b) the current cost of items in-game already, and c) the stinginess of players in general with their currency, especially due to past items from upcoming events, upcoming travelling spirits, upcoming and current season tree items, etc

Very true but with the cost of Travelling spirits and cosmetics are suuper high in sky its just not balanced for candles. Especially with the majority of sky being students and people with jobs not everyone has time to even get 5 candles a day. And its easy to get burnt out. Regardless of whether you like this feature in theory, in practice, dislike in one aspect or the other, or both, it's still something to test and give feedback on. I may have my personal opinions on it due to my shorter experience time in sky and still being on the newer end, but all-in-all, we have something to test - and, listen: even if it succeeds in beta, if it ends up failing in live or if it ends up succeeding, it'll still be somewhat of a lesson to TGC. If it fails in Live, then, well, it's simply just telling that the old system may have been more convenient and it may be a case to revert. If it ends up succeeding, and succeeding well at that, in Live, then it succeeds. we just gotta wait and see.

It should just be friends because then there's an opportunity to give back if you wanted. However this is really just my opinion, I usually hide creations when I view them because they're usually in the way of things, which is why I moreso don't want more options on a stranger, it just takes more time to hide the creation. the hearts do actually stack even if you don’t get a notification (I don’t have game notifs on)

so I saw bloo send me one, then when I went into aviary to pick it up, the heart stayed in place so I picked it up again and sof’s one was there!

Even though that currency is generated from players with the intent of “giving”. Since the pockets they’re pulling from are already limited and gamified, not everyone is going to give. That has to do with some of the factors tied in with this post I made last year (#beta-discussion message), and also the fact that beta development means that we often have to adjusts plans with short notice, so trying to post advance outlines would lead to a lot of disappointment and misunderstandings

This is the only thing I can think of that hearts can be used for:

• Level 2 friend actions only. This can cut down on the prices of things in my opinion.

However, I'm sure there will be more ways to use and receive hearts somewhere down the line. But it's a fickle thing if I'm being honest, and it's not easy to think of something that players can use to gift others hearts. It is really hard when you try and think about what additions could be made that use a system for using and receiving hearts.

I’m not sure how to feel about this change. On one hand its pretty easy to give a like to a stranger’s message. A lot of times people scroll through it fast searching for their friends message and like everything on the way. I’ve been using the shrine less because I don’t like the new emote so maybe it helped to make the “likes” more meaningful. With this change I think it will make sure people interact more closely with the message (if from a stranger) and people may put more effort into making these things since it has a high cost for someone to spend candles for a heart. I don’t think a lot of people will send hearts though because it’s expensive. I have good friends who sent me constellation hearts that I have not collected yet because I can’t afford to send the heart back. For older players who hoard candles and have collected everything they may appreciate being able to do a nice thing with their spare candles but otherwise it’s very expensive.

part of me wonders if it's because you had it on when the game updated so it thinks you own it and therefore locks it to the moth styles like the other new base styles but instead it's like SUPERGLUED to your skid

I think all the bloom hair and capes should be for event currency. What we see won't be final so they will change things around until it happens in live
