the prompt thing is completely optional, most peeps go there because of the RNG closet rotation I feel (least that's how I looked at it)
I meant more specifically being able to wear past ults in a restricted zone being specific to days of style
like why have that be part of the event if aviary hypothetically implements it 24/7

I used to be able to run the app in high def mode on my iPad Pro. But now it grinds to a halt. They definitely have overloaded the visuals in some areas.

Again I don't think that being able to try on various cosmetics in aviary takes away from DoS at all.

By that logic, nobody would bother to participate in DoS, which simply isn't true because doing so provides event currency. The main point of being given randomized cosmetics in DoS was to supplement the closets for players who don't have as many options to complete the prompts. But to each their own, I can see how some people would want to keep it exclusive to DoS because of the time-sensitive novelty of trying on items you don't own

I do think it will come into play better when next season comes round because the aviary items you don't own showed up in the closet, since the closets function similarly to DoSt where it's a restrictive zone that you can put on those items and walk around in em
so next season [stuff you don't own] you can put on and combo with other things you do own and hop between closets to see what matches

in that vein, it makes me wonder if neck accessories will be added to the aviary closets because DoSt didn't have that either

it is interesting that they've been adding on "side quests" to the main quest tree for aviary
passage and flight being the side ones atm

The in-game timer (seen in the IAP shop 🛒 for Feast items) shows that Feast will end with this upcoming reset. But timers in Beta aren't always accurate - so it's possible that Feast will continue, or return again at a later point for further testing.

And we didn't get a date for it in #beta-announcements , so all we can do is wait and see what happens

We don't know! They aren't in the closet previews, and can't be bought anywhere, but the spell versions of them still exist. So it's possible they will return later, and are just gone because they are being worked on further.

Yup, you won't have the snowflake tickets anymore when it ends. However, when 2023 Feast testing resumes again (which it most likely will, since we haven't had very much time to experience it this round), your tickets will return.

At least, that's how it's worked with previous Beta tested events that use tickets. But it's always possible that Beta will be Beta, so it's not guaranteed

@finite turret Basically, you have the ability to set either Aviary or the old Home space as your home, you just have to go up to a big white candle in either space and select the icon that pops up. If no icon is present and the candle is lit, that space is your current home. So you don't have to switch to Aviary if you don't want to

Before Feast ended:

• Feast stalls in the Aviary (chat props, very cozy)
• The snowy environment extended to the entirety of Prairie
• UI updates for social spells (it’s similar to comments now, same layout)
• Bug fixes for enchantment
• New quest available
• some feast cosmetics got added to the game (IGC: cape and pinecone, IAP: yeti boots)

Feast ended last night though, so the aviary is grassy again. Maybe it’ll return, maybe not

I'm disappointed they go with reviving a bunch of past seasons to open the shops rather than making something specific about the area itself. I really hate to have to part with moments last quest, i won't be able to see the purple flowers anymore if i have to complete the whole season to restore this area.

I mean the only reason why they aren’t being brought back is probably because of the fan base, theirs a large group of us that would rather the ults stay exclusive because they feel they won’t have their status, or they would have wasted money etc. and theirs a large group that wants them to come back due to not being able to get them due to not playing sky at the time or personal reasons for missing out like finance and stuff, so they are probably waiting on a perfect solution to please both parties which is extremely difficult

Also people constantly point out how many owl hair remakes are we gonna need since that hair will continue to be popular and penguin hair was an ult as well. The college debt was a little extreme, but what I’m saying is that Sky’s themes of compassion and working together seem antithetical to the community’s treatment towards ults. They have little to no gameplay functionality, and are not extremely different from the cosmetics that already exist. Yet so many people feel outraged over something that does not affect them at all. If the ultimate gifts are so well-liked, surely people can feel happy when more players have access to them?

They would be accessible though still even if they were iaps. Right now there is no accessibility to ults, but making them iaps would make them accessible and still be fair to people who paid money on the pass.

It would also give TGC some continuous income from new players as well. I just really don't see a world where TGC would make ults free. They already would risk a ton of backlash just bringing them back. Much more if free.

Aviary is the new home and tutorial area. It's there to introduce new players to the game, so it's vastly different from traditional seasons. And Avairy is going to be an ongoing project so all the removed things can show up at a later point

I do think it’s important to remember that this season is not at all what we’re used to - we aren’t being immersed in a story like before, we aren’t following a story of 4-6 spirits. We aren’t reliving memories.

We are rebuilding a lost Village / refuge. Aviary is the new starting point of the game, so I don’t necessarily think that older players are the target audience. If we try to imagine what it’s like for a new player, it’s a whole different thing imo.

Yes! The seasonal quests complete automatically, but we are essentially building a new social hub. With the help of player feedback, we get the chance to help make it a place where we all stay engaged too. It’s very different, but this is a complete new starting point and we’re kind of witnessing it in real time. Pretty cool

The thing is that it doesn't feel like building anything, we're just putting spirits back into their silly homes and that's it, nothing else really changes, it feels like nothing.

And the big thing of why I'm disappointed is that this season is deceiving, because first quests made it feel engaging, holding hands with steward and all. And then they sit in one spot forever. They don't even stand up for cutscenes with later spirits.

Like I think after the first part this will be disappointing even for a new player, especially if they happen to already complete the required season while exploring.

Like, I would've been fine with it if there was at least something new to look at. At least an animation. But there's literally nothing

I have to disagree with it being disappointing for new players when it's literally the perfect roadmap for moths, it's not the vague introduction a lot of us were thrust into. Moths have a new way of discovering the world around them through previous seasonal quests. This season is more of a necessary step for the game in general.

Yes it's good to be fully immersed in a well written story and spirits but these kind of seasons are necessary for the overall evolution of the game

About Steward: I think that’s something I gave feedback on as well, I like that we’re seeing more interaction with the basegame spirits and have another way of interacting with past seasonal guides, but I hope Steward gets to live freely there too

I’m gonna give feedback on this again because I agree, I miss steward in the last quests (maybe it’s a bug?).

In my eyes, rebuilding the aviary in-season is reaaally different for older players. But for newer players, it shows that Eden isn’t the end. There’s soooo much more to discover in sky than just cr, or the main storyline (dreams, harmony hall, windpaths). It’s a longer introduction and focuses a lot on the gameplay, but it’s something we don’t necessarily see.

However, when we did Q3 it was just lighting some candles and then suddenly aviary was alive. In live it was waaay different: some assembly-type format, a beautiful transition and a nod to Vincent Diamante with his overture theme.

It feels a little weird not being able to actively participate in the quests, but the changes the quest bring are so cool:

• we have 3 places to light friends (I love this, because homespace in live always feels so busy and now I can just go to aviary and light up people in peace )
• event changes in the aviary itself. We barely saw the last feast changes but they were sooo cute. I loved spending time there!
• interactive base game spirits

I mean for me I feel it’s less a season than a new start, and such a nice break from CR. It fits more into the Sky world, homespace can remain a bit distant from the sky world.

Like, yes, I can see what they're trying to do, to show moths that there's stuff after eden. My main problem is that first quests were much more high effort, and the later ones are barely quests, and that dip in quality is palpable.

Steward doesn't feel alive anymore, most spirits in shops are the same and pretty much do nothing as well. Like, I really just wish there was at least something, for spirits there to be more interactable.

To me aviary is inconsequential and I wouldn't go there if I wasn't required to. That giant map doesn't lend itself to cr speedrun and just generally feels clunky

As a new player I would totally prefer to not be required to go through Eden and tons of quests just to unlock stuff in home area, I remember how I was when I started and I really liked that I can do stuff as slowly as I want to without having to complete a bunch of it at once. So as a new player I'd be just tired and overwhelmed. I kinda was even now because I didn't have most quest completed on beta account.
So I'd say for a new player the reuse of old quests is even worse. It's not a proper tutorial.

Yesterday I did give feedback on something similar - it does feel strange that the friendship aspect of the game is locked behind a 4th quest (no constellation or introduction to other homespace before Q4).

However Eden is a really big part of the game and just plain necessary to progress further into the game. You lose WL, but the rebirth aspect and giving back is really in the heart of Sky

When I felt comfortable with controls and dodging krills, I did Eden. I wouldn't be happy with something rushing it

In all honesty, it's just a giant map with pretty much nothing in it, and nothing to do. Interacting with base spirits can be fun but it gets old pretty fast. As a 'social hub' it could've benefited from some benches that don't require a candle at least.

Maybe they'll bring back the swings, maybe not, but aviary in beta after the third quest had much more to it than what it ended up getting in the end

I like the slow and gradual change, I can take the time to enjoy the music and watch the scenery as it changes, plus I feel most new players would be interested in something new they're going to experience so I doubt they would ignore the seasonal quests to gain something useful (wind paths shortcut, spell shop, etc)

Tbh, if Moments isn't included on the quests, new players would be unaware about the camera's existence and how to get it, so I find it really useful rather than relying on 3rd party sites such as wiki

I think there's some confusion between "going at your own pace" with "a complete refusal to go". I think people forget Eden has a tiny bit of snow. If you go to one of the closests in the social hub before the big gate and walk around a bit in one of the closets, you can hear snow crunching noises in the closet. At least that's what I observed when I went in there.

I think it definitely works best in group settings like you can take turns setting your own race

Hey Fam, maybe its too late to ask, is the firework event is already gone?, I didnt get the chance to grab the wand from spirit. My event tickets from firework event and the winter tickets all disappered. The new winterboots, i can able to find from my shoes section. Someone help!

I think I know what you mean. It's a bug.

When I finished the Mask quest, it bugged. I awoke the spirit and the game said the quest was complete. The Guide went inside but I couldn't, if I remember correctly. I had to leave Aviary and come back for the quest to truly be registered Complete. I could then awaken the Guide and follow it inside

Gotta say. The winter overlay to the realms makes me want to explore them all again
