Generally, it’s better to leave it be. But if it helps you, then sure why not.
But also, if signing up for a limited time beta gives you anxiety, maybe don’t sign up at all. It’s not a necessity in your life

If it fits the hardware requirements it should be fine as the vulkan support will already be there with the drivers that make your GPU actually work with the pc properly

I've had a lot going on irl and haven't had time to test properly, and wanted to check to make sure it wasn't incorrect like the current ultimate in this build or the aurora voice instrument. This is my favorite event that comes to Sky and I enjoy giving feedback on items, not that feedback on missing items isn't important, but if it was known already to be that way I wouldn't want to have found out after the fact.

While it’s completely understandable that getting bugged cosmetics is sometimes a bit of a bummer, it is still beta.

What Cy said is actually correct, Sagomay explained it more in detail: #beta-season-test-chat message. Getting cosmetics as soon as you see them is an important aspect of beta - because even if things are “safe to get”, if there’s a bug making it not safe, it’s definitely important data for the devs.

Even if mischief is your favourite event, there are many aspects to test and enjoy! You can buy the cosmetics though, just kind reminder that beta isn’t for collecting cosmetics. There are spells (weekly!) available as well

The crab curse is a spell so just the same way you’d deactivate any other spell.

After the update, did you go to the room in Cackling Crab with the two NPCs + the jailed leaf cape spirit? After interacting with the two IAP shop NPCs to rescue them from the head crabs, the 2021 Mischief IAPs were offered in their shops (at least, this is what I experienced).

Oh sorry, just don’t agree. It’s a whole event and the office is set up as part of the event, so you should be able to continue the event, in the office. Since you can access Crackling Crab from office the reverse should be true. That way you stay in event mode rather than be thrown back out and have to go to Vault, thru the hall and then ask to go back to the event with the guide. Silly to me

Yes! You can get the IGC cosmetics from Skidsmore’s tree in the added area of the Cackling Crab.

In that area, the other IAP spirits walk around there. You need to interact with them to get the IAPs. Ktjn spirit is at the cauldron

it could be a bug, or they could be removing our ability to crabventure and curse each other entirely but I don't think they are

I think it's just cause we freed the devs and found out krill cat was responsible so we ruined their plans and they cursed us into a crab that can't do much

that and maybe devs want the winding down of crab curses to be gradual unlike last year's dusty curse that kept getting spread after the event

Not send screenshots to the people in live who want sneak peeks at items subject to change (E.G: The crab cape from this years mischief event, which feels more unique than its original version). Especially when some IAPs are bugged, as beta often is due to its nature.

If you happen to look at the beta screenshot channel, you will probably see some skykids with some spooky capes, a crab, and a new outfit.

Also, if you look up “potato log”, you’ll see that Cy posted some beta archive posts! The mischief cosmetics are in Cy’s posts as well

Obligatory mention, but nothing is final until it comes to Live - so there’s always a chance that a cosmetic you see in the beta chats don’t make it to the live game

afaik, there's always been only two bonus activities, but they vary between event phases
for example, in the previous phase you could get a bonus ticket by being crabbed by jenova, and in the current one you get it by getting yelled at by the krill cat (which also crabs you)

Agreed, I use the sitting emote on the shrine or elevators beecause I'm a console player and it's very hard to click the prompt itself when there's other skykids around, my controller would rather I light them instead of sit down to activate the shrine and I'd have to move the camera a bit to select it.

Oh the sitting thing is indeed bad, i hope its a bug.
Its very annoying to use sit icons on controller and its just faster to use the sit on menu in general, like if you sit on a race you dont hand off your friends. On vault i like to slightly lit the lamps and sit on the middle and wait for them to be fully lit too.

The character also can get stuck while going to the return shrine sometimes?? I rlly hope this is just a bug

Anyone else having issues with the Cackling Crab area? It's fun to explore but the explosions and fires are just too much...it's a dark area, with flashing and strobing lights. I'm mildly photosensitive and after going around the new area and collecting iaps I got a headache. It could really affect more photosensitive players. If it can't be changed, well there should at least be a warning and another way to collect event currency

Yeah I think it’s worth sharing that in #beta-feedback. I'm not photosensitive but it is pretty dark and there are those light effects as you mentioned.

On a separate issue on accessibility, for example – for the "collect blue light quest" in Valley, a player who's colourblind mentioned that he can’t see the blue light when it goes underwater against the blue/purple background. That was years ago and TGC hasn’t really made it better.

So if you let them know, hopefully they’ll make the Cackling Crab area a bit better in that regard.

I'm not photosensitive, but the place is still a little too dark imo, at least the area with the cauldron and the tunnels. I tend to use the lantern iap to light up the dark areas when I need to.
Golden Wasteland is spooky and ominous without flashing light, so it's possible that things could be toned down a bit and stay spooky. At least a fun spooky

Usually events are announced a couple of months before the event actually starts in live. And the good thing is, with events, there are no new candle cosmetics. It’s all tickets!

So if you missed out on candle cosmetics last year, you’ll only need to save up for those (for example, the mischief leaf 🍁 cape).

We don’t know the prices of the new cosmetics, so we are eagerly waiting for that as well. However, like with all events recently, we will have more than enough time to get the cosmetic(s) we want (for tickets!)

And the good thing about the TS groups is that it’s waaaaaaay more likely for that spirit to return waaaaay faster!

It’s pretty easy to save in beta because you can get 25 seasonal candles per day. That means every 4 days you get 100 sc. If you spend 10 min daily to collect all the sc, you’ll get hundreds or even over 1k candles after the conversion at the end of the season. That’s more than enough for future events! Right now due to a bug there are double the sc in realms, so you can get 46 candles per day! Take advantage of that, plan ahead, and you won’t feel like you’re always broke in beta

How else do you get Seasonal Candles? You do a Seasonal Candle run! Beta gets SC bunches in every realm each day + the 4 daily quests + 1 daily bonus from owning the Season Pass. If you're diligent and do a SC run regularly, even after finishing the Season, you can rack up a nice candle cushion for end-of-Season conversion.

Umm are you using integrated graphics? If that you should have considered that as an extra research sometimes integrated graphics tend to not work properly with some games

I have a laptop with a very old quadro gpu and it runs sky very well so seems like intel graphics don't like sky so far most of the users who have reported issues with not being able to open the game use intel graphics

i think its bc it's slow, as far as i know, they only really exist on these laptops as integrated gpu to give image to the screen, the rest is handled by dedicated gpu (i think xD)

My current laptop's GPU Intel HD Graphics Fam. and it didn't run Sky cuz of low specs. But my bro's PC was also Intel HD Graphics 630 and it can run smoothly. So I may think higher Intel HD Graphics (530 or above) have more chance to play Sky according to my research and tests

Well but i think in this beta test for pc the ones with integrated graphics shouldn't have applied not to be rude but if they won't be able to play I don't think there's much to do to help the development of the pc port

What they might mean it that it's because beta is a test environment, so there is no real pressure to candle run to get things unless you want to. Especially since the items are often made accessible easily because of the “free” iaps and the big number of SCs you can get in a day

People in beta do not run realms for white candles because it takes twice time if you also play live… better keep your effort for live playing
Beta players collect a lot of extra seasonal candles that convert to whites after season testing… those candles are enought to keep going

I have to go to sky beta often because otherwise I won't have candles

I strongly recommend just doing SCR (seasonal candle run) because if you're diligent about it you can get like 1200 candle conversion at the end and it's pretty darn good
especially right now that you can get 8 SC per realm instead of the usual 4

The only thing you really need is seasonal candles, but only if you have time!

It’s why we get so many SC a day, so we can give feedback on the seasonal cosmetics as soon as possible.

For events, no problem if you have no candles: we have spells!

It’s okay if you miss a day, a week, two weeks, three even! Usually we finish all trees in +/- 2-3 weeks and we get 70 days of a season

or you can ignore it entirely because items in beta can get wiped for any reason and focus on collecting them in live instead

Don't worry, dracula cape isn't gone, you just can't see it. Vampires don't have reflections and since your screen is kinda like a mirror, you can't see the cape. It's being lore accurate
