There's a known exile issue where the game straight up won't let you in at all
The last time this happened en masse was people friending through QR would get locked out of beta and in the end it was flagged up to the devs to have to manually fish the players out

You will get constant server error messages while looking at the dark water

Sky height gambling in general has always been a bit discouraging for me, I know why it’s likely randomized, but both my Live and Beta accounts have had the same heights for nearly 3 years because I personally don’t want to lose the precise heights I’ve got, since certain outfits only really work with specific heights

That's often suggested, especially in beta discussions and I think it could have its merits for sure, but I guess since we don't know their schedule, their plans for future content and such it's easy for us to say take a break and work on quality of life stuff - I do think them working on things like wardrobe changes, new icons for cosmetics, and other stuff like reworking event requirements to help with candle grinding shows they're trying to balance in some quality changes in amongst new season and event items and stuff though so it's nice to see!

There are actually some people who were really upset that they fixed the ult mask from clipping on the contrary, and I can see why
To me, it similarly ties into the wardrobe changes because:

From what I gather it's a different group that handle beta issues and they aren't invested in individual accounts/loss of items at all. When I first started as a beta moth I bought an item for 2 season hearts and couldn't buy the last old ult so I tried to file a ticket. I was referred back here and essentially told by everyone that I'm out of luck. Kind of like how this season ults have worked out.

A far cry from losing an entire character progress even if it is beta though. That is very frustrating.

A bug somehow deleting your account is very strange—I don't know if I've even seen it reported before, so please definitely send a report in one of the beta bug report channels, with as much detail about everything you did in the game up until it happened.

That said, unfortunately our player support team isn't able to offer the same depth of support to beta accounts. For obvious reasons, live accounts have to take priority, so the team has to focus more of their efforts on that version. Ultimately, beta accounts are for beta testing, and that can still be accomplished whether a beta account has a lot of progress or not progress at all. I get that it's frustrating to have to start over, though

It’s explained in #beta-faq, but TGC aren’t able to give compensation for bugs that happen in beta. There are a lot of different bugs that can disrupt accounts—they wouldn’t have time to handle it all, and picking and choosing would be both time-consuming and inevitably unfair

How do you select emote levels back then?

It was the same ! Back then however, if you continued to press an emote rapidly, it basically cycled between the emote upgrades like it normally does when you hold it down to select one
So instead of always getting lvl 1 by spamming an emote, you would repeatedly cycle through lvls 1, 2, 3, & 4, while spamming it as if you were holding the emote down

So you couldn’t spam any emote indefinitely because it would quickly move on to the next emote upgrade, but you could still do short bursts of spamming upgraded emotes, which was fun!
It’s kind of hard for me to describe it so I’m not sure if it makes sense or not
But basically spamming the emote button was = to holding it down which let you spam them all

unlike android, iOS has a cap on the number of testers. So basically the next invite wave for iOS will be when enough iOS players have gone inactive in beta (therefore being removed and opening up slots). The only reason there were so many android invite waves lately was to 1. Be equal when beta slots are open, 2. Make up for issues google had, 3. I assume to have more players for stress testing because iOS reached the cap

You can wait for ts to come back, which we are 7 spirits behind atm from live. You can also wait for events to come around. Generally they bring back the older stuff from those events along with new ones.

guys i was thinking, was allowing beta to have all cosmetics already implemented, suggested? i really think it would be a great idea to be able to test out newer cosmetics with older ones—im mentioning this because i dont think newer or most beta players have tested out the items with older ones and the different combinations to see any unnatural clipping or bugs with it?? like not many if at all have superrrr old items to see

You can still get older cosmetics eventually and test the items with them through the ts. Plus there's plenty of older beta players who do have old cosmetics as well and can test them.

I think the main thing is testing older cosmetics together with new ones isn't the biggest priority for the devs. They want to make sure the new ones work correctly over combinations working.
Plus there's all the other seasonal things we have to test

In fact, originally in beta, we couldn't test old cosmetics from previous seasons with new ones unless you were there for them, since beta didn't have ts. But they only brought ts into beta after players asked.

its so strange, when you have open daily tasks, if you tried sent heart and got server error, your already opened daily will become locked (the home shrine has red dot ) after you restart the game to get rid of server error.

if you didnt try sent heart, the already open daily will remain unlock.

and once if you got server error, cannot send chat but you can read other chat

Fwiw, we did test Winter (now Rhythm) and Gratitude several times before iOS release, but all that progress was wiped about a month before release. This was mainly because of a complete overhaul of the economy in the game

But some simple events are not testing in beta... like 2020 days for healing, double hearts, spirits groups visits, also events from netease server
