basically when you add a friend via QR there’s currently a bug that causes both of you to get endless server errors and be unable to log in
you can always log in with an alt but you lose access to the account you added them with

it also seems to be VERY rare (like i know of 6 people total who have it currently and 8 if this one is actually a purgatory moment)

i honestly don’t know if it’s to do with the qr code itself or the link, might even be both allowing it to happen

usually the whole thing is you add each other via qr/link then both start getting the “we are currently having server issues” server error popup, this continues every time you try and log into the game. the little loading bar at the bottom always stops at one specific location as well, just a little bit from the start.

do we know who exactly it was who got the errors this time around?? feel free to ping me if it’s you or if you have any questions about it i’ve been doing this for over a month (won’t reply too fast though because i have school)

I like the idea of a new Harmony Hall event, we've always missed the music part of the game that has never had its own annual category and depends on seasons (and most of the time, paid instruments). The Harmony Hall is perfect for bringing in new instruments, musical cosmetics and new features like the music sequencer.

I just hope the music sequencer changes instruments weekly, getting stuck on 4 instruments would be sad.

As the main idea of these event tickets are to prevent spending candles and "sky inflation", I hope there will be enough in the future so we don't have to think of this kind of exchanges
As the patch notes said, we normally will be able to buy everything in the event even without login daily, spending money or candle for this seems to be unproductive concerning burnouts and inflation

for me the problem I see with event currency is mainly about players who can't log in daily during the event even if they wanted to; but they can log in daily before that to candle run. before, that would have been fine and they could've prepared for the event in advance. now that doesn't seem possible anymore

other than that it's a great way to lift some weight off of some players' shoulders (however it does the opposite for some other players)

as I see the problem here with people having everything in the game already and not having anything to spend their candles on, I think tgc should keep the event currency anyway, because there are simply more new players than the old ones. the fact you dont have anything to do is because you've been playing so long and so active, your reward is that you can rest and not worry about it
i don't say the problem should be forgotten though, that's a valid problem to have as an old player, they should add other ways to spend candles, but the main focus should still remain on new players and creating a more nice experience for them

a great point, but we can't see how much that is going to be a problem; we still don't know how much tickets per day will be available, where it is going to be placed, how far from each other, etc (these are very important things, because they affect how much time you spend in the game collecting them, which also affects how exhausting it might be to collect them and if you are going to burnout because of it)
so we can't say how much of a problem it is going to be. but from what we have, we're still going to have times off during no event times
as of now I wouldn't panic so much. they say the tickets are going to be like seasonal candles, so perhaps collecting them is gonna take less than 10 minuets per day. (compared to like. 3-4 hours candle runs, that feels pretty nice)

Yes, it's a completely separate app to the live version.

I'm unsure of how large the invite waves are, but it's not really something you get chosen for. Links will be posted to #beta-signup-info , and it's basically first come first serve. You just have to click on the link and accept the invite to the program that way, if I am remembering correctly

Make sure to read #beta-faq you can find all of the information there. Also get your beta invites (ping) role if you are interested in becoming a beta tester. We don't know when invite waves happen! So you need to be patient

Basically, the tickets are a new currency that will only be available during events, will be gone once the event ends and won't convert into neither candles or hearts. You can collect a number of them in the event area and in other places through the realms as you play each day.
Not all event items will cost tickets, tho, only new ones, previous years event items will cost candles and hearts.

Yep, that's why this change was added. It makes it easier for groups to stay together when going to Shared Spaces, and if a player being led doesn't want to go into a Shared Space, they still have the option of letting go of their handhold

Honestly, that's just part of the game. I was a very dumb moth when I joined who didn't understand seasons, so I missed out on some of the free Season of Dreams cosmetics as a result.
But what that did was make me more excited for when the cosmetics inevitably returned with Traveling Spirits!

Golden Wasteland is their favourite map and they love the ocean! Plus Season of Abyss was my birth season. It just seems fitting that in the area that represents the start of my skykid's life, I can celebrate the life of my dear friend too.

The ticket system is going to be super helpful to me, and I've only been here a bit over a year. Lots of events last year absolutely wiped out my candle counts, and now, with these tickets, I won't really have to worry about that anymore! Yes, there's still TS and stuff, but like, I mostly cr for TS in the first place, so I do wish the ticket system was implemented earlier that way I wouldn't have had to make the mistake I did with postman last year, but I'm just glad that they're at least doing it now. And with all the visitors coming during events and stuff, it makes me hopeful that my wait for certain TS won't be as long as it could have been w/o those event/group visits

If you do a consistent 15 candle cr every day for 2 weeks, that's 210 candles. There's spirits out there that cost close to that amount, so imagine having two of those come even more frequently than one spirit every two weeks. That would be so painful, especially for players without excessive amounts of candles. And past event items exist too, so having TS come more frequently than once every two weeks would be very difficult to live with. The group TS visits are already very hard on our candle counts as well, we don't need to be run dry of our funds just because they added one new currency for events

I'm kinda the opposite of your experience, but an example with me is shaman! They were one of my earliest TS, and when they visited, I didn't particularly care at all for their mask. But now that I've tried it with just the items I have in beta alone, I want shaman's return to be in live already.

People's taste changes over time, at first I was a no-mask enjoyer but now I'm like. Teeth. Snoots. Creature (I will never stop loving and wanting my tidepod navigator to return though XD)
