For testflight (iOS beta) the total amount of active testers are limited to maximum 10000 iirc. This includes active players from previous invites too. On android there's no such limitation so droid players have a bit of an advantage

Try restarting your phone. I had the a similar issue where I got a system error and was stuck in the ocean. Once I restarted my phone it worked.

Tweaking the visibility of it is fine on its own, but making it nearly impossible to see until you’re right there…

Tbh now that I think about it, since the devs are getting rid of home shrines, the areas where they used to be seem a bit empty now. So I'm kinda thinking... what if the devs added an area that was purely just to hang out, no candles, no afk wax, no shortcuts, nothing but vibes where the shrine used to be? It could be like... caves and stuff, and it could require players to have at least 1 spirit from the realm for them to enter, so moths don't get lost or confused. Cause I've noticed a big issue that happens whenever tgc adds candles to a generally relaxed spot, where people ignore the area itself and only go there for candles, resulting in everything there to just kinda go to waste, so it'd be nice to have somewhere where nobody worries about that

To top it off they also followed me into prairie and kept insisting to stand real close to me, dang you sapling quest

Yesterday, I was doing an Uber for someone in passage and showing them where the emotes were. For the life of me, I couldn't find the rolling one. They ended up lighting it themselves, but I saw nothing even though I was there.

After I finished helping them, I went back and was able to find it with no problem. I was also able to see everything too when you lit it.

I don't know why this happened, but did anyone else go through this?

i’m still very upset over the feast goggles and seeing no changes to those or the sunglasses from nature in any of the newest updates is making me weary. tgc really just retroactively added a zero-bloom filter, something people with photosensitivity (and without!) have been asking for for ages, to an item that had to have been already purchased months ago, with a very particular design that likely didn’t appeal to anyone of people right off the bat so they decided to save candles and ignore it. only for it to end up becoming possibly the one of the most important accessibility features in the whole game. and without a way to assumedly get it until it hopefully comes back next year. don’t bother doing the feedback react i’ve already given at least two big posts in the feedback channel and i’m hesitant to do any more. even just a dev acknowledging they understand why that would be frustrating, or even ableist, would be very much appreciated but at this point i don’t really have much hope that it’s gonna be changed.

i just haven’t seen anybody talking about this anymore and it makes me feel disheartened that anything about the situation is gonna actually change because it’s clearly not something a majority of players find issue with. the one thing i feel like they could do to make things less awful is to just bring the goggles back, maybe for nature, but because it’s “out of theme” i don’t actually think thats something they’d be willing to consider.

It's impossible in a server this size and with a game that has as many players as Sky for everyone who gives feedback to feel "heard." I know that's one of the most frequent complaints here, and it's difficult as a player to get a frame of mind in beta that doesn't lead to anger or burnout. My own experience is that I went through some stages of frustration, but I also have experience building software, and lots of experience seeing Sky updates, so I know that TGC devs see the feedback, consider it carefully, choose things that fit the design and intent of Sky, and try to work things into the development roadmap. Feedback from players often gets digested and filtered and changed along the way, so one person may never be the inspiration for a single change

From my experience of Sky up until now, the development of the game up until now really hasn't been linear. From "we can't do translucid capes due to game limitation" to "actually we found a way to get around it". Now we see premices of a day and night cycle (which has been asked for... so long)
Past year people really wanted a cat like cape. Which kinda happen but not exactly. This year we get a racoon tail, which is probably closer to what everybody wanted back then, but it's okay !
Players wanted a way to comemorate as a community, and we got events like Aurora concerts. It's taking time, trials and errors but most certainly, the game will keep evolving !

I'm not a Shattering moth but I loved Shattering, the seasonal area (which I wish we could revisit) looked beautiful, the shard events were thrilling and the shard memory locations we're amazing for screenshots! It also happens to have my most favourite seasonal pass that I currently own.

It was definitely EXTREMELY buggy, felt like it had no real storyline and didn't feel very personal so I can understand why many were upset but players also have to consider that it was because TGC was working on fine tuning Season of AURORA at the time. It pretty much came down to bad timing. I hope that when the lights or darkness return as traveling spirits that it allows us to revisit the void!

Seems like removing the return shrine from vault made a domino effect: I can no longer skip the elevator arrival cutscenes to avoid screen flashing 🔦 because the ▶️ button doesn't appear on time in the corner of the screen on any levels. So when im in a dark room close one of my eyes while squinting with the other spam click that corner by opening and closing settings ⚙️ until the skip forward button finally appears. A detail in relatively small time but disturbing.

On a positive note, the wax from the shells during turtle event is harvested once anyone lifts them in near proximity. Some wax also gets released from shells harvested far from you, so you only have to swim nearby and collect it

tbh, the "going in blind" approach has always been the case for me and the turtle shells, cause the sunset sea is dark as heck, and I often find myself searching for them by the hand prompts

And as for friendship, there's two nodes that cost 10 ac now I think ? Compared to all of them previously costing 2 iirc

I think it might fall under the concerns tgc wanna address about players prioritising cosmetics over friendship in regards to higher AC locks in friend trees - folks may be collecting AC for the elder masks so they might avoid unlocking higher levels of friendship with one another - tgc would probably have the statistics on this though so hopefully they find a balance

yeah. my problem isn’t the tints necessarily, like the sunglasses, it’s the fact that something players have been asking for for years, bloom reduction/option to turn the setting off, due to photosensitive conditions like epilepsy, chronic migraine, or just plain old eye strain caused by the game’s lighting, has been retroactively added to a cosmetic item that had to have been already purchased months in advance to access. i feel like that’s just kind of scummy honestly? no doubt it wasn’t meant in that way but the whole thing feels pretty unfair

that's fair, I do think a lot of folks have had similar feelings throughout testing too, since we don't really know what tgc could be working on behind the scenes all we can really hope is for our concerns for genuine and permanent accessibility options to be implemented at some point (hopefully sooner rather than later)

I do like the color tint tho, I think it would be a nice item to obtain even if you have to wait , just for a color tint glasses,

the whole thing about the glasses giving us a tint is great in terms of allowing us another way to connect and see the world of sky through the eyes of our sky kid and that's cool, but it's understandable that people are questioning the filters and why they haven't been considered and expanded for general visual settings that could help folks cater their experience for their health and safety

I actually love the fog they added, specifically in sanctuary, makes it feel more fantasy like but if there was a feature for ppl who don't like it to turn it off for themselves I'd be down for that

i know i for sure would have bought the feast goggles if i knew they were going to have an anti-bloom feature even though i personally didn’t like the look of them. but i didn’t know that so i skipped them. only to find out they would have helped me play the game without inducing migraines 🙃 the color filter thing is hopefully a test of the feature and i’m praying that there are things in the work to make bloom reduction or disable the option something that can be done in the settings for everybody, but even if that’s the case, i still think it sucks to force players who really need the feature but didn’t buy the mask to have to wait until who knows how long for the feature to get added. it doesn’t feel great

for the short term i think the best possible outcome is to make the goggles available to purchase in live again, but i don’t know how feasible that is lol

Just to add to the fog, when there's a shard it's especially dark. I have my brightness setting on a low setting, plus extra dim plus night light. So I can't see anything when the shard arrives.

The beginning of Vault used to be especially bad, but it's gotten a lot better. I don't have to turn off some settings to see things.

TGC lately has a tendency to add stuff for igc that should really just be readily accessible
Here’s to hoping they add more stuff to the settings in general, both graphically and sound-wise because the glasses’ filters were seemingly added for fun, but they ended up legitimately offering help for people

Haven’t gotten the chance to test it myself, but from my understanding, the DND spell is also essentially like spending money to stick a sign on your back that says ‘leave me alone please’ but you can just say that for free, especially if people can still interact with you anyways so the incentive to buy the spell is low when it doesn’t actually do much

I actually really enjoy Warrior of Love’s cape on the flight ult pants too, particularly because the feathers on the shoulders match the feathers on the pants and I really like when design features are on multiple parts of an outfit because it feels all tied together
In general, since we have no invisible cape in Live, I find that scarf capes are great for those pants so you can appreciate the design
