The Aurora concerts should still happen at the same times in TGC's time zone, so yeah the first one for each day should begin at reset time. It just depends if you are affected by Daylight Saving or not if the time actually changes for you

Hey y'all! So I saw that the Vortex quest won't trigger if you skip the cutscenes
So I went to vortex and didn't skip any of the scenes leading up, and it still didn't trigger?

Does anyone know how to do the event quests? I apologize if this is a kinda dumb question,

Once you get the quest from the season guide you go to the place (forest or prairie depending on which quest) and there will be a white mask. Iirc you need to light the mask with your candle and a sitting circle appears. You sit and will join a lobby with other people until the quest starts (they are every 15 min, starting 00:15), and then you do the thing which involves running around and getting things.

I thought you meant the new season that starts in prarie! (Can't recall the name atm). Confusing that they are both called seasons. The nature quest starts at the season guide too but they teleport you to prarie, then you walk around the shore or follow the spirit walking around to the light creature that is trapped with a dark plant. Burn that, then click on the (!) when it appears by the creature, and follow it to the nature quest. Don't skip any cutscenes or it doesn't work!

I think they may have used the same tech they used to disable props and instruments while you were on top of Aurora’s performing stage in geyser. I’d guess since instruments can’t really block any eruptions that it wasn’t intended yeah

I mean whenever I'm at geyser usually at least half the folks there including myself bring torches of some description to place inside - I guess they just don't want us to have a way around attending geyser in the intended way of chasing the urchins around and burning them ourselves

I love listening to people play while either geyser or granny is happening, hate that they're disabling them. Now it will definitely feel more like a chore instead of a fun little every other hour wax event. Do we know if props are disabled completely? Oh that sucks i was hoping it was just specific props but even the non burning ones too?? My favorite part about going to geyser (and grannys) is placing down a prop on top of it just for fun. Like an umbrella or a crab plushie. Never inside to obstruct the wax but close enough to where you can sit and relax closer to the geyser.

most of the time i go to geyser theres very little people actually bringing burning props with them. The place i see people bring them is grannys and even then we usually have to walk to burn the orbs because they get flung off the table by the orbs that burn anyways

I recommend reading the #beta-announcements posts. For every build that goes out, staff post a super highlighted paragraph that emphasize how everything in beta is subject to change. There can even be changes made after beta testing finishes that we don’t see until something is live. It’s the nature of development

We did make some tweaks for the 'priority' those contextual buttons are given that should be going into beta soon if not already. See if things play nicer for you after the next beta patch and let me know! We have definitely floated the 'layers' idea internally but it would take a fairly large refactor of our UI code that we aren't quite ready for yet. We'll definitely keep y'all posted if/when we get around to implementing something like that, but hopefully the priority adjustment helps alleviate the issue a bit!

re: server errors, reports are definitely helpful but we do generally get automatic reports for them as well so don't stress too much about reporting them if they're consistent

Thank you, I have indeed noticed some changes. For instance:

-when friends are nearby, it’s hard to get the prompt for the Home Shrine
-when a stranger is attempting to light us, it’s impossible to grab each other’s hands after a hand break. We have to run away from people.

• Shared memories, Shared spaces and messages still take priority over a friend, making “re-handing” a cumbersome task (folks have a habit of leaving those exactly where groups need to reattach: Home, Wasteland’s landing, Hermit…

I can say that while your efforts have helped to some extent, we will still need an “ideal solution” in the future 😅.

The only time i remember the map button being useful is when my controller slipped out of My hand once and fell on the "L" (candle collect button) but then since "LR" was also pressed at the same time the map showed up and stopped the camdle collecting process, saving my candles in the proces from being collected

I believe, if I’m not mistaken, (I haven’t been testing the vortex so much as of late) to start clearing the vortex you have to go to the Angler in the boat to trigger a cutscene, and then watch the cutscene without skipping it

yeha you cant get the old constellation. the old one was just the crown constellation, which was your favorite friends, and everything else was just friends, randomly spread iirc. we didnt have the ability to create different constellations
i remember i disliked the new constellation at first but its actually pretty convenient. without its flaws ofc but still pretty good
someone else in the channel mentioned that the old one felt more personal and i agree. and how stars were brighter with friends you have friendship tree upgraded with was cute, as olive stated

Yes I believe you remember right ! There was only one favorite friends constellation, and it would get full quite fast, they even expanded it once that I can remember in order to try to compensate for that, but it still got quite full anyways, which is probably what lead us to having multiple now

Also, I remember if you favorited too many people you couldn't see them all at once in the constellation either, which could be a bit inconvenient
All in all though, I think both old and new friendship constellations have their strengths and weaknesses

I went on a wlr yesterday and it took me a good 5 or so minutes to figure out which wind path went to the caverns since idk how to chibi fall on mobile and nobody was helping me

You can actually oob into the underground cavern without chibi but I feel like if I say where to do it TGC might patch it

they probably already know about it, they knew about the vault oob for a while before they cursed it with an invisible ceiling just recently, nothing is ever entirely safe no matter how hard we try to hide it

The thing about stomping on the caverns ceiling is that it breaks handhold. If your friends are afk it’s better to glitch through

Also there are 2 spots in that room where tall skykids can easily glitch through without chibi

the DoN phases are throughout the week. There might've just been a change to how they appear since the last update (which was in the middle of the week)

i didn't noticed any change on the appearance of the vortex itself, except that swirl of dust i think, which iirc was brought by the update
the only change i saw really was for the collecting part.

first, there were multiple waves, and all the trash were just swirling around, then days later, some of it were under water, then yesterday, there was only 1 wave
maybe i'm just imagining the 2nd part but im really sure there was only 1 wave yesterday
