So long as you don’t crash into anything you do actually speed up in valley’s sliding race(as an example) over time because if you do crash the speed difference is pretty noticeable

Also momentum is a measure of how much force you’re traveling with i believe and not a direct measurement of speed, i think you’re thinking of acceleration

sky's momentum is just static if you're on flat ground, gradual increase on downwards slopes, and instant stop on slopes IF it's too steep

in my case however you can bank off of stuff to get faster, which is what i'm aiming for- more ways to be fast

There is a dive move, just not one you activate. Sky is incredibly momentum-based, but it requires interacting with the world around you.

If you just expect momentum, you'll be disappointed. But if you use, maybe, the clouds? You can get a lot of speed.

In any case, this is a very off-topic discussion and has almost nothing to do with beta, or the events in beta.

the cat hair didn't raise in price, it was just converted to IAP the day after it was released to beta due to internal decisions a week before the build made it to live, causing a mass miscommunication explosion.

lower igc item prices, yes. there is no economy in sky, there IS restricting the amount of candles you get a day, which is what it is now. they say "the problem is people grind too much" when they are giving reasons for people to grind. they are not souvenirs, they are items in a game that might as well be about dressing up your avatar and looking cool. people want them, and will do anything to have them, because they look cool. it's as simple as adding more cosmetics, and lowering the price of it all. TSes are fine, events are not.

"but the cosmetics might not be perfect or they might be rushed" thank you for your input [tgc dev] but, if this is true, why havent you improved older cosmetics? the preference of quality in cosmetics for mostly anyone is not very high. thousands want the rhythm hair, and it can be seen as low quality to some. it'll work out, scrapping stuff that "isn't cool/good enough" is not the way to go. i promise yall, no one will complain if you add a few more items that are lower quality. "but we can't lower the prices because people will complain" compensate them with candles/hearts

Yeah, an issue I have repeatedly seen live service games run into is trying to compensate for the players who have sunk a ton of time into the game, but as a result, it tends to put newer players in even more of a position of feeling behind or intimidated, and it’s a shame

Honestly it's not that I don't understand that it's hard to find the balance. At the end of the day tgc will want to keep creating new items for folks to collect, and the prices accumulate for newer players regardless, but having increased pricing because typically the older players will have the means to drop the candles does nothing to help the newer players - I know the aim isn't to grab everything in one go, but if they intend to start removing past items in the hopes it'll make it easier on players not having the temptation to sink all their candles on everything at once, it's only gonna increase the fomo (and the select elitist attitude) that is already a problem within the community - yes it's players choice and all, but certain decisions exacerbate those player responses

I’m glad they have acknowledged players concerns. I’ve suggested for all previous ts spirits to be available so players can purchase what they want at their own pace, e.g. a season cons gets permanently added to base cons. I guess this will clash with their season pass, as people might be inclined to just wait until it comes back in the future and not pay money. Maybe make the whole season available after a year.

While I do think the IGC prices become far too high, I don't think TGC will have to cater everything to players since in the end it's up to them how they wanna spend their currency, whether by planning their spending, trades, etc

Well one of the items will be for charity, usually items like that ( shoulder turtle, white flower, days of rainbow flowers ) are priced way above normal prices for a small item. So the glasses will probably be that item, or the shell and then the cape a normal iap

I'm a little bit worried about the sunglasses probably also coming with a filter, likely a blue filter, since blue light commonly leads to headaches and vision fatigue, it will look very pretty but it will also be a bit strenuous on the eyes👉👈

Hmm....I wish the sunglasses was an accessory and not a mask, since I prefer the darker masks. I do like the hue it gives off though. Home looks great with the blue.

Not sure how I feel about the cape though. On the Nature Guide, it looks vibrant, but the one we get is transparent but not as magical as Aurora's transparent wings.
