They also talk about clipping but most head accessories don't mesh well with a lot of hairs. Butterfly/most flowers aren't even able to be seen when wearing larger hairs, like the king jellyfish hair or side braid from Abyss

i guess you could compare it to some of the cosmetics that already have weird clipping issues (like some hairs with the weasel mask/accessories clipping with some of the more complicated(?) hairstyles). Its sad when you buy something and it looks bad with the cosmetics you regularly use because of clipping, so thats why they wanted to reduce that by 'fixing' the mask

Honestly i dont want just a “cat” mask because Halloween is so much more than just cats i liked the flat mask because it looked good with all the mischief haircuts and didn’t have to be part of the “cat” theme

I’m just glad TGC heard our feedback and A) Changed the cat hair back from IAP to an IGC and B) reduced the price from 66 candles to 44 candles out of good conscience. That being said, it speaks volumes because it lets us (the players) know that TGC is taking the right steps in putting effort to listen to their player base. Also, as beta is always a WIP, this doesn’t mean that everything is final just yet. All I’m saying is that I’m glad our voices were heard.

And we couldn't even place prop while flying anymore.. i know many response towards fun glitches were: they were never intended in the first place, or: they might fix other things in game and other things got affected. Hi @vestal abyss, in response to your question is #beta-screenshots-videos, let me remind you that nothing is final in beta until it goes Live, so unfortunately we beta testers can’t say a definitely 'yes' to that. You might like to look up last year’s Days of Mischief cosmetic prices on the wiki to give yourself a rough idea of what to expect. The idea of consent-based interactions has been one of the core tenets of the game since even before it was in beta. We might do some wonky experiments in beta (because work-in-progress and all), but the intent for the cat prop was always to have consent be part of the mischief fun

I also had a very bad experience with the cat. I was holding hands with my friends at home (we had 6 people). While we almost finished holding hands, a stranger came and trolled us.. the holding hands were broken and two of my friends got pushed in the random maps. I think IAP's should drop in price by at least half when it's time to rotate out the old stuff. Older IAP's shouldn't be constantly available each year. It will become incredibly overwhelming with the yearly addition of items due to us wanting more. So on the third returning year, the IAP should be half in price.

Tgc has stated in the past that crashes are never intentional this is likely a bug i dont think rocket was purposely patched.

If they were to patch it properly it would not cause a crash when done it just wouldn’t have an effect when done or you wouldn’t be able to prompt someone piggy while the prompt you etc.

It’s almost more a surprise now cause the prompt sticks on your screen really far in the level. Can just tap on accident. Quite funny. Altho I think the prompt is really nice, though maybe a thing to note is that you need to press it each time. Maybe if you press it once you’ve said “yes” until the person replaces the prop?

I wasn’t one of those who wrote that, but I can assume that for harmless fun with friends, the cat prop without the button prompt was funny. You could surprise friends or strangers in a fun mischievous way with the sudden yeet. With the prompt, it’s more of just a prop to get blown away by wind voluntarily. So i think if it’s used for fun, the cat prop without the button prompt was better at achieving that. However, it was used a lot these couple days for ways that were disruptive to normal play. I think there can still be a lot of fun to be had with the promptless cat but only with friends

Honestly it’s still a surprise it’s just the mean people don’t like that it’s been kid proofed aka safe to use now it’s actually a reallly nice update to be able to have the option to pet the cat but if I had to add anything it would be to have it like a game of roulette where you pet the cat and sometimes it yeets you while other times you get a lovely purring kitten to pet otherwise the updated cat is perfect
This would add to the original intent behind the trick or treat of Halloween
