Whookay this kinda took me some time.

Journey-wise, it felt like a breath of fresh air because the game just lets you guess without letting you be completely alone or clueless. No quests like "you MUST go here, do this, collect those in order to proceed". You just follow the signs.

And then we have the character. Simple yet aesthetically pleasing and very unique. Them being faceless gives you a sense of mystery and wonder in their appearance, yet doesn't give you too much of a "I'm a very important character, this is my duty, I bear scars from a traumatic past..." feel. Plus we can fly, and I love that we can explore not only the land, but towards the sky as well (somewhat).

Lastly favorite moment, the sliding part and the sunset-panoramic view in sunken city. First time I saw it took my breath away. Like, holy cow that was GORGEOUS. The glittering sands, the broken city in the distance, and the radiant sun. The game lets you just appreciate the scenery and the environment without making you feel dettached to your character.

If I remember correctly, ||you need to grab all glyphs, then on your next rebirth the game will ask you if you want to be a white cloak.||
It's been so long so someone please correct me if I'm wrong\didn't remember it right.

The first one's correct. Once you do that, you'll have to change your cloak in the chapter select, though. As in (unless it differs between platforms), the game won’t notify you about the option becoming available.

For future reference wait till after the end credits and you'll see a 'Companions Met Along The Way' screen which shows you their user name so you can message them after if you want. At least, that's how it works on PS. Not sure about the other platforms.

Hey, I’m sorry spring, I was talking about sky, I know this is wrong channel. The other answers are right, I’ve never outflows a guardian in Journey. All you can do is hide. If you get behind a big rock or pillar, before the headlight on the guardian changes to red, then you can successfully get away.

Bruh when a guardian sees you, even if you hide inside a fallen guardian's segment it will actually DESTROY it to get you. Like hammering a nutshell to get the tasty meat inside. Except that meat is you.

Though compared to Skids, travelers can take a beating. I guess your scarf would be so short if you keep getting hit, but you can just walk it off :D

Yes, once I have completely torn of my scarf through guardians in the cave area. After that, no guardian spawned to hit me again. Not even the wave of 2 guardians before the end slide spawned.
Also when I entered the next level, I automatically had a teensy bit of scarf attached lol.

When you start a new game I believe you start as a red robe, but can swop for the white in the ribbon area to the right of the first (chapter select) area as long as you have earned the white robe

I admire how TGC keeps their aesthetics/themes in their games. There is also a game called "Cloud", which i believe was worked on by some of the people who would later form TGC ☁️

Just keep looking around and hug the walls. If you avoid the center, it’s not hard to get through at all. Also, don’t rush! Being impatient never pays off.

A friend sent this to me and I was absolutely livid about it, especially back then there was barely any sort of official Journey merchandise. I wish I could cosplay as a Journey traveler someday with this.

I just realized how similar journey is to sky, the areas you go to, the sections, yes there's no candles or a currency, but you collect symbols a lot like wings, you fly/flag yourself
