I think the mobile version is most likely a subpar experience anyway
I'd recommend playing it on Playstation if you can, since that was the original platform it was developed for and released on. It's also available on Steam for PC.

Sky was designed for mobile devices, with a simplistic style that fits that
part of Journey's beauty is in the fine details of the light, the sand and the fabric
I haven't played the mobile version myself yet, but from what I've seen from screenshots, they had to reduce the level of detail and fidelity for mobile devices

steam is the one to go since epic is unfortunately dead.
ios is more uncomfortable to play with touch controls and there's not much of a good connection and companions playing

Which one ! Journey on PS3 has 30fps. On PS4 and PS5 it should be giving you 60fps unless your device has problems.

I play sky on iOS with a ps4 controller but I started on ps4. When I was able to play sky I bought the Journey, flow, flower pack for ps4 and regretted it less than 5 mins into Journey. That’s how far I make it in 60 fps in Sky too. About 5 mins max before the puking and migraine begins. I may consider buying it for pc as I love all the settings options pc has in general. Just wish ps4 would get an update down to 30 fps so I could actually use what I bought.

I haven’t braved flower yet, I played flow back when ps3 released in 2006 when it was part of the learn how to use your new controller setup but I haven’t tried it in over a decade. I remember I had mild issues with it. Haven’t braved it yet due to fear of getting as sick as Journey. The 2 times I tried Journey it took me about a week to recover. I don’t want to be off Sky that long. 🤣 I’ve been mostly avoiding ps4 due to lack of friendly games.

I'm looking through my PS4 settings, and I can't find any option to limit FPS. Which is unfortunate, because Journey is a beautiful game, and it's sad you won't be able to experience it.

There might be an option in the safe boot menu, but checking that will have to wait.

There is apparently a way to limit FPS if you Share Play, but I'm not sure if that limits it for the host or the visitor... This might just be for PS4 Pro, though, since it has FPS boost options regular/slim models don't have. And it also requires PS+, apparently.

I'm not sure the validity of the information, though.

Just played journey on my ipad. It seems... easier than I thought? I didn't got hit with the guardians during my run but was struggling somewhat doing the ascent to the peak.

I hugged mostly the left side of the wall when I see the guardians on the snow level, and I seem to know how the guardian things have a set patrol route, making my run a lot smoother than I think

Also, it's funny how if you tried to go outside the area the Wayfarer flail a bit and plop to the floor when it's blew by the wind

"sit down and turn to dust" means that, as far as your computer is concerned, their computer lost touch. It may be that they just decided to quit the game (or return to the hub area) or you may have had a net split. Net splits happen a lot in Journey because it doesn't wait for long before deciding that the other party left.

Could someone inform me about Flower? Does every level have 3 leaves that can be collected by blooming special flowers, or does it vary per level?

It's at times like this when I really wish some of these games had their own dedicated wiki Let me boot up Flower and check; I think you can count the number of petals from the flowers on the chapter select (and I grabbed them all).

Flower is a game where you play as a flower petal on the wind! 🍃 You explore levels by tilting the controller to control the direction the wind blows, collecting more petals in your wake as you pass by flowers.

its the player symbol that they had in your encounter next to their usernames.
strangers get revealed at the end of your journey (in ps3 it gets added to players met)

its two player multiplayer only, and it has a system designed to meet random companions from the second level onwards who get revealed at the end.
you can arrange meetups with friends by synchronizing locations and getting lucky
its not crossplatform, suggested to get it on steam or ps4/ps5 if you want to meet with people frequently

I love exploration games with pretty environments, I also enjoy venturing with other players that I cross paths with (as you play you'll come across other players) but it really depends on your taste in games- Journey takes about 2 hours to beat and on steam there are 14 trophies you can unlock

there is no fighting or opponents in Journey except for destroyers, which are a lot like krills- in most areas, they are broken and disfunctional except for 2 areas in the game, you have to try and avoid them

It's definitely a very pretty game, most areas are like deserts and are very spacious, I hope this helped

The multiplayer in Journey isn't what you're expecting. It's basically a single-player experience, but at any point along the way you may find you're walking past another player. You cannot choose who you find or where. You can team up and continue together (all the way to the end of the game if you like) or stay apart and move on to the next area alone. Two players together will never encounter a third.

Issue in the Steam Version of Flower:

The wrong sound effect has been assigned to the "lighting up"
animation for the first haystack in the 4th level. (the blue flower)
The sound effect that plays is the same as the ominous tune that you
hear towards the end of the level, when the electrical line burns out.
It should instead be the same sound as the other haystacks when they
light up.

You are a petal. You are in a place which is okay, but you want to get to a place with a big variety of blooming flowers. As a petal you are too small to break down barriers or to get through windy places. But if you pick up a lot of other petals you have enough mass to do these things.

The game has a lot of scenes of grass and flowers. It is a visual delight. Some levels are very peaceful, some feel very threatening and you can easily lose progress in them.

yee i was gifted the journey collectors edition yesterday i hadn’t played journey or flow with a controller before and it ended up being really fun btw im not sure if flow is co-op on all platforms but what do other players look like

flow only has local multiplayer, on the psp is via local wireless.
you can quickly change your controller id to see how the different players look like, you might encounter a ps4 bug where you can have multiple players controlled by the same controller

the co-op is local not online

up to 4 can play and with the update that introduced the expansion, they can select their own creatures independently

Journey is very like Sky. It is beautiful but similar. If you already play Sky, the impact is reduced, but still awesome, and you can understand where Sky came from. Flower is a completely different game. So if you want a rest from Sky, Flower is better.

Personally I think it’s a gorgeous game and completely worth it I play it on mobile and I went through the whole game again today it’s an amazing experience every time and only has around 2 stressful moments similar to the krill in sky

I once got henna tattoos of Journey symbols on the back of my hand and I loved it.

I used 4 symbols and I picked out my favorites. Perhaps you could do something like that? :D

Journey symbols are four 3x3 grids of on/off, with either 4, 5 or 6 pixels on. But there's a restriction: two or four of the symbols are always copies or flipped copies of one-another. So you can make up your own journey symbol and it'll probably be unique.

Actually, at least two, perhaps three. Some of the decorations you find on the journey have an alphabet around the edge. Also, the above symbols seem to be a modern, simplified version of the original ancient language. There are rare places in the game where instead of the cute combinations of small grids you see above, there are characters which are just a 7x7 grid, with no mirroring.

Different people found out different facts about the icons and shared their knowledge. Eventually we built up an impression of the language(s). However, we found nothing amazing there. There are no messages spelled out or anything. It's really just decoration.

Sky: CofL is more of a "why is this in ruins? Why did everything go wrong?" Kind of what happened

Basically the same stuff, but told differently and with different events:

You fell
You took it upon yourself to reach the top of a mountain
The moutain peak is glowing
There were "Elders" before you who help you (idk what to call the large white guys in Journey but they look like elders)
You "ascend" beyond the top and you keep climbing to find peace
