God this is so badly bugged

I just did the shard event but darkness wasn’t appearing on their page and vise versa so we each had to melt the darkness alone because it just, wasn’t lining up. Same with crabs. Which is so frustrating because this is supposed to be a team event but you can’t work as a team if you aren’t even seeing the same thing

TGC made some changes yesterday to fix one thing, but I feel like it may have caused some other issues to crop up more because now the season guide's tree is broken and the darkness has been more glitchy since yesterday too. The season is just so unpolished overall, I wish they would have tested it more instead of rushing it out to stay on schedule

Seriously! Idk how long the wait between seasons is usually but this feels… really broken and rushed. Abyss and Performance worked great for me but this just keeps breaking and becoming more and more frustrating. It feels like it only worked in the first day, and even then it didn’t always work

2-3 weeks is pretty standard between seasons, but the difference with this one is that they are adding an entirely new feature which was tested, but even in beta it was still pretty buggy (and that's not even acknowledging all of the issues with accessibility and photosensitivity that people have mentioned as well, which nothing was really done about)

I saw on Noob Mode what is being added next and imo they really should fix what is already there before adding new things (that are going to make it really really hard for photosensitive folks, if not impossible).

this particular capeless method was a whole entire year (meaning this capeless account is a year old not that you have to do it for a year to become capeless) of painstakingly avoiding picking up a single wing light ever. you start the game without a cape and don't gain one until you pick up your first wing light.

assembly was this skids first season. I had a capeless before this but lost them by yelling "for science" and buying the free wing buff from the butterfly TS when eden was broken that one time. wing buffs do also give you a cape if you don't have one

nope. it is kinda hellish to get yourself up to the temple though. I spent like 45 minutes flinging myself at the windwall before it gave me enough lift to get up that ledge. then you can just ride the clouds up. forest temple is also a pain to climb

honestly, I don’t see a difference with the butterflies and when you get a perfect (all notes hit) in terms of wax
it makes sense the thing is teir based (normal, darkened lighting, butterflies) but you’d expect a perfect to get lots, especially since it’s easier said than done

yeah… when you do the medi and see vault elder you’re then dropped in a room quite literally leading to eden
eden’s too powerful to hit so close to itself, and because there’s not a lot of open space in the wise grandpa place, the rose is going to see a lot of shards

I get that price increases are difficult to deal with as players, but consider that it does cost money to keep sky going, that it costs more to run it as the player base increases, and that the other potential payment models are worse. I’d much rather TGC make it harder to complete seasons (thereby increasing the likelihood players will buy seasonal candles), offer limited time event items for a large number of candles (increasingly the likelihood players will buy regular candles) and sell exclusive items as iaps than 1) making players pay a subscription fee to play sky, 2) requiring a season pass to access seasonal content at all, or 3) putting ads in the game and forcing you to pay to get rid of them. The fact is you can still play and enjoy sky without spending a dime, and that’s amazing considering that it’s far more well designed and expansive than just about any other mobile game out there.

I made friends with plenty of vets when I was a moth who were happy to show me around and help me out, and I’ve continued to do the same as a seasoned player, as have my veteran friends. To be fair, personally I’m able to keep up because Sky is literally the only mobile game I play, I don’t have a console, and I hardly watch any TV, so pretty much all of my time set aside for electronic entertainment is spent on Sky. And during my moth days, I was laid up with a broken foot so I played A LOT back then. Now that I’ve completed the main constellations, and the majority of traveling spirits are ones I already have, it’s a lot easier to keep up without candle running excessively.

Well I mean- the quests don't usually take too long to do, so even if it isn't fixed at reset there's still like a week possibly two to get it done. And lately the quests stick around after the season (but I guess we'll have to wait and see with this one)

Technically you could complete all the seasonal quests in a day
Edit: as many people do all the seasonal quests on the last day for past seasons too

With this season, I don’t know if that would be possible to do all the quests in one day, since it seems each quest will probably involve completing a shard and reliving a different ancient memory. But then IDK exactly how it will work.

you can do more than one seasonal quest in a single day. you'd just have to do the shard event multiple times. which is annoying

At home you will not see red sky, but you will see red stones on the realm’s gate (the realm of which the shards are falling into)

If it’s at the shard just try a different spot to burn first

i think shard quests also take cooperation into account. if you're with a team of people and you help each other out/gather WL for others/light them up/burn plants together, than for that you all get an additional AC. so depending on teamwork you should be able to get more than 3, which seems to be a baseline maximum.

In archives, the 2 players door on your right when you enter vault

you can forge 4 but that's not the same as earning 4. 3.5 is the max any event can give and if you had at least half a candle started already you'll forge 4

You can see the cosmetics by teleporting via the quest guide at home (or from constellation)
