I think part of it could be getting more used to the game overall? Back in gratitude I was still juggling between finding new emotes and figuring things out and doing Eden to try max out my wingbuffs. With this season I didn’t do new things so time passed by pretty quickly.

Actually, in Lightseekers, all four quests were available to everyone, whether they had the pass or not
In lightseekers, pass holders could get 6 season candles a day, and non-pass holders could get five. It's a small difference, but it started to add up after a couple weeks, so you couldn't wait too long before getting the pass and still be able to get all the items without purchasing additional candles.
@scarlet nexus I'd recommend finding out what the prices for everything is, once the new season comes out, and what the candle collection rate is for pass vs. non-pass, and then decide how long you can wait before getting the pass.

Devs aim for two weeks between seasons, but sometimes that gets delayed an extra week or two if there are lots of problems in beta. So far this season’s beta testing seems to be going a LOT more smoothly than lightseeker’s did so we can probably expect closer to 2 weeks without extra time added on

Not really. It’s in a little alcove off to the side of the path. As you’re going up, you don’t see it unless you make sure to look around though- the camera tends to point the wrong way

Wow, that works too! If you hold a finger on both candle and umbrella, then let go together, you get both (tapping both together was unreliable for me, and tapping one or the other switches between). You still put the candle away when flying, but still, this is going to make forest 100x more fun 🙂
