There's no krill in the wind path quests, but the darkness burning quest is heavy on flying. It would probably help to have buddies on it if your friend has fewer wing wedges.

When grumpy went back for their first visit, they at first broke their own tree by putting seasonal candle as part of the pricing but after the fix, they became more mischievous and decided to turn all currencies to candles for the base spirits and the seasonal hearts to seasonal candles

Adding on, some claimed you can see the past ults 'return' for respective guides tree though its unable to be interacted

I really dont know if any other spirits ever broke the game this bad but so far as what I had seen grouch at the top for the moment

Okay but what is the story? The kids in assembly had charm and cute little interactions and such with one another. The quests may not have been amazing but it was more character and charm than this. Migrations spirits didn’t even interact with one another in any real way (and were reused as well). If the daily grind is a thing people want fair, but the season quests need actual story instead of making them the same thing as daily lanterns mending. Otherwise.. the seasons don’t seem to be worth paying for in my honest opinion and I’ve spent $1000’s on this game and season passes :(

Alright, but that’s not what seasons were just about? They were things to look forward to, things to be excited over about what was going to happen next in the story when the new season quest dropped!

Now it’s nothing but repeat the same thing over and over, and not receive a real story from anything as of late. I miss the days of sanctuary, little prince, things where you felt emotions. Not like the season quests were just a slog to get through because they’re nothing.

Plus these cosmetics as of late are unfortunately not.. my favorite. They feel like reskins, copies, and unfortunately very bland and uninspiring. But that’s different people’s tastes.

Cosmetics are nice yes, but the cosmetics aren’t the only thing I want personally. I want sky to have good stories and fun seasons, not constant repeating quests that have nothing to them, and feel empty compared to what TGC has made before. :/

FOR INSTANCE:

TGC made it so that there was no new content for Days of Love, but past IAPs return

folks like it because it is a nice break from all events in February, while the purple rocks give a good wax source, and folks can still get past IAPs (as the event isn't outright canceled)

folks also hate it because there's no new content, and TGC's poor management caused everything to be crammed in February, instead of being spread out across January to March

ultimately, every decision they make is based on feedback, but since not everyone has the same needs or the same opinion, they can never please everyone

I know TGC can’t please everyone, but this didn’t about the cosmetics really. (At least not what I was talking about). It’s about wanting TGC to do better because have played this game since 2019, and seen some amazing things come from the story of the season. These past few seasons have felt like nothing, the stories aren’t good or existent at all, I love this game to bits and just believe it could be better. It’s not just a dress up game, it’s a game to make friends and experience amazing stories, not just grab cosmetics.

Two embers was AMAZING! Definitely a big deal and don’t expect that from TGC every season, and also don’t expect things to be perfect from them. New activities for daily candle runs are neat! But again, the season has felt absolutely empty. At least radiance tried to add a sprinkle of something but I won’t fault it too much cause yeah, new mechanics of course.

now that seasons have double the quests (5 to 10), it's hard to come up with a story that requires all 10 quests, with each quest being unique, and the whole questline has to come to a satisfying conclusion

the same way that the number of spirits + emotes per season have drastically decreased over time

it is difficult to be creative!

Creativity can take time, of course. but I don’t believe a product should be pushed out for just mechanics if there’s no story fully fleshed out because people want more season quests. If it’s only going to be the same repeating things for a season quest.. then why do a season? :(

all the spirits' memories we relive are housed in these very lanterns we help repair. the vault of knowledge is a mix of a time capsule and consciousness archive/longevity thing.

due to the live service nature of the game, the devs have to focus on bug fixing vs adding new content vs addressing player needs vs maintaining the servers, while ensuring that everything is done in a timely manner

In such a case, it takes so much money and effort for a smallish team of devs (100 people)

Sky was very big on story, and to have a season with only mechanics and a story slapped at the end (sorta?) I don’t see it working out too much in the long run since.. Sky has always been heavily story based?

Managing live service basically means you have to pay to maintain the service all the time. If you delay any profit, you'd risk losing part or almost entire server functionality if you fail to sustain the server management and financing.

That's why they have to put out content in order to maintain a constant revenue necessary to sustain the server

taking a whole season break for example or even delaying it further is very very risky. How can you pay the devs and artists on time if revenue is very much delayed for a certain amount of time. Heck even they would very well be laid off

I assure you they still put out quality content and make some effort. I've attended a dev talk for Lightmending specifically and the explanations on the mechanics and development was very insightful

Also it’s totally possible for one person to cover two adjacent gems, you just need 8 players in the server of which 4 are active

How does one cover two gems? Of the times I see someone attempt this, they fail more often than they succeed. Does sky kid height play a role?

I guess I’ve never tried as a chibi, but moth to tall works reliably for me. You hold one gem until it clicks, switch over, and repeat. It takes a couple cycles to get enough overlap (longer if other people are also doing the same thing and you all have to line up)

@somber lichen hey i saw your bug report (I'm not a dev or anything) in #🦋completed-bug-reports , a workaround for this is to just turn Off [Skip Cutscenes] in your game's Graphic Settings (It's a known issue from #known-issues message but in my opinion it's not clear that you have to toggle the setting OFF instead of ON)

then just toggle it back on when you're done lightmending

the duets (seahorse) mask is my main mask, and available for all players after finishing the first quest of the season of Duets (enter through the gondola in Aviary)

• the blue part is dyeable
  All of the wooden masks are from the season of Passage in Isle of Dawn, the first one is the first mask I ever bought. There should be a meditation circle behind the Stone of Passage (the one with the map shrine on top)
• the glowing parts are dyeable
