if you're consistent with your skips, each trial is less than 2 minutes and pays out really well

we often skip water but there's some really nice routes, we also came up with a consistent setup for longjump as well

I missed 1 of the manta lights, and I missed out on a decent portion of eden candles, rip. I thought someone else had it, and they were too afraid today. The season is ending in a few weeks, its highly unlikely that you can get everything from the seasonal spirits (unless you spend extra money buying seasonal candles packs). It really depends on how much you love the current season's cosmetics. But if you don't think its worth, better to save up and wait for the next season! The season ends in 30ish days

That and once yiu spend to buy yhr dye, if you have the sp and buy the heart its 3 candle. If no SP Im unsure if it transfers to a normal heart or not but I wouldnt buy it, I'd save the 3 season candles to transfer to normal candles

While it’s slower than buying outright, it can save candles for conversion

I need to ask, am i alone in thinking this season is frustrating as heck?
I do the quest for the week, complete it, go to the Guide to click on the exclamation mark to, you know, complete the task and get the weekly reward, unlock the next exclamation point... as always...
....except it keeps saying 'event is in progress' and there are no portals to click on to take me back into the lanterm, because I JUST DID IT and i get no reward for completing this week's task and that's... just... IT.
Every season up to now, that i have done for 4 years, go as such: you greet the Guide, you click on the exclamation point, you do the quest, you return to the Guide, you click on that exclamation point again to collect your reward and the next exclamation point lights up ready for next week with the phrase 'come back in 6 days' (or whatever).
Job done.

This Lightmending Season, so far EVERY WEEK i have done the same quest two or three times before it finally clicks and i get the reward.

I am tired of rewatching the same cutscenes, doing the same quest, getting nothing.

Am i missing anything? Doing something wrong?

All you have to do is burn the darkness away from the new device, it should say 'Complete' before you leave the lantern.

Lightmending complete is not the mission, only cleaning the new device

Yeah, one time, the first time i was having this trouble, i found the new device needed burning, so every week i've checjed everything on all the shelves since.

Not on the shelves, in the lantern, the spirit near the start point you click and get the mission, they point to where the device is and you follow the little target star, I don't think the darkness shows until you click on the spirit inside the lantern. If you choose to go on and mend the lantern after you get the completion notification you can.

I can't help but feel really frustrated because this season has not made that clear at all.

If it says you completed the quest, then i leave, because i've been told it's complete. It should say "there's still some darkness to burn!" or SOMETHING because once i'm outside the lantern i can't go back in. Idk. Feeling pretty sulky about it ngl. Every week i have enjoyed doing the task but then there's been no reward and that's just ruined the whole season for me 🙁

I totally get you, I remember it was very confusing at the start It doesn't help that other people can just continue collecting all the crystals while you're searching for that one new device somewhere in this big area (it happened to me twice that when I finally found it, the others completed a section and you get this cutscene & get transported back to the start). There is an orange star where the new device is, but it's so tiny, I didn't even notice it during my first 2 or 3 quests, and with all the blue stars pointing towards the first bunch of crystals, it's nearly impossible to notice the orange star.

I didnt actually even register that we had to collect devices??
I just did the crystals and once or twice i burned something and that made something sparkle. Didn't even think it was part of the main quest.

hmm very fair, I'm rewatching my clip of the first quest and it doesn't say anything about the devices in all the cutscenes, expect for 1 little sentence when you're already in the area, saying "Discover how the (device) helps with Lightmending daily lanterns". That's the hint to tell you that you have to search for that device, but I guess it's easy to overlook or miss

may I ask if you leave the lantern by teleporting back to the portals or return to the workshop through the platform in the level? The quest will only trigger the finish when you return through the meditation circle in the level (trust me I've made this mistake a lot as well)
though returning to the workshop does start another unskippable cutscene, that seems to be the only way the quests are marked complete

It is very normal and accepted that around 2 new IGC items are introduced for tickets, an occasional bonus one for hearts, and then a few IAP. You really do not need to get everything from an event or similar looking set

I liked that the Fortune outfit was split into parts. The cape fits any character. The dress might not. And the dress and the hair separate might make or break a budget. I did end up getting the whole set which was a rarity for me but the design was so good.
