Is the tournament torch worth the 36 ac? I missed it last time when it was for tickets. I have the ac available but it’s a large chunk of my supply and the torch seems very simple

worth is subjective. to me, it's useful whenever i run solo. it's a fire handheld prop that helps keep me recharge during a run, tho slower but enough for me. aim it right and you can lit up candles with it, but can't burn plants unfortunately

it also lit up a small part of the area where you stand, but not as bright as a summer lantern

I think it might be worth it. I got it at the beginning of the event and almost recovered those candles by doing shards and two Edens. It’s useful for quick burning pollution from the geyser and the grandma’s cake too. Apparently it only burns candles and not plants though

For me, I have tiki torch which recharge faster and since ppl said it recharge slower, I did consider to let it go HOWEVER someone mention it relights yourself when youre grey in eden (or just grey on general) so I did plan to merely buy it for my eden run

Maybe if you have Assembly Torch or other large fire prop it might be easier for some to just place and refill, but I think that anyone who passes up on the tournament one will be kicking themselves later.

• The Tournament Torch is mobile recharging like having another player's hand.
• Lights fires faster if aimed at them. Chibi run is great for this.
• Can be held while holding hands with other moths, and sitting.
• Can relight you from darkened, saving your wing lights.
• Can be relit, over and over, in rain working almost like umbrella.
• Counters walking-through-water drain keeping you from going dark.
• In flight you can stay up longer. Recharging just enough to stay flying.
• On the ground it is faster to recharge that tiny bit you need for a jump.
• It's faster to activate as you don't have to use the placement function.
• Every source of recharge makes Eden easier. +15ac today. 1/2 paid off.

Downsides:

• For some reason doesn't burn plants.
• Recharge is slower... because it's mobile.

If you don't already have a major fire prop, this is it.
This thing is so useful! Do not pass it up.

Those that have the faster recharge, there is a list on the wiki per the speed of recharge. The Assembly Torch and that large round squat fire pot people most often use at Grandma I think are at similar speed.

Where as the currently acquirable little fire pot from the guide in the tree house is kinda on par with the speed of the tournament torch but way less convenient.

It depends on whether you have the hearts to spare and will wear it, imo. The leaves are dyeable too so you can a couple of versions. I regretted my purchase until I dyed the leaves. It is a LOT of hearts to drop your first year and it will return next year. Just some thoughts from experience.

Did today's daily Lightmending activity and it's one of those days where I wish the game would let me do it myself

It's fun trying to find the fragments most of the time, but when there's so many other people finding it themselves it feels more like a competition of "who can get to the fragments first", and it becomes Not Fun very fast

you can actually! if you turn off internet before you enter the lantern, light at least 3 fragments, and then turn internet back on, it forces an unmergeable server and you can finish the activity solo
