I feel like this fact is being glossed over bc AURORA was considered the "peak" sky and idk its just me but I feel the sentiment towards post Revival seasons have always been negative... without realising how similar some of those seasons to the past seasons

I don't use spells much either, but spells cost candles and hearts, so paying seasonal candles is more acceptable than dye which can be collected for free. I would prefer not getting spells as well as I have too many, and having seasonal props and cosmetics in those spots instead.
Now if they had a decent way of trashing spells that you don't want.....

Checked my trail spells: 48 multicolour, 20 magenta, 18* lurid fluro green*, 18 yellow, 23 *another green (*didn't know that one), 12 blue, 28 purple, 28 pink, 16 red, 28 more magenta… that's 239 if my adding up is okay. Phew I'll take dyes in future, if I can.

It feels like that players use this title as a bragging right and entitled about the opinions on the present day sky..like they're always stuck up, saying that old sky """is much better""" when there are players who genuinely enjoy what sky is today and claim moths would suffer more in the new game as if they have a right to dictate a moth's experience

It's completely random, depends on shard difficulty and who you merge with. Some Sanctuary or Hermit shards are easier and that might alter your perception. Last time I saw many players losing wls at Hermit and none at forest. Shards didn't become harder just they also have their rotation inside the areas

That‘s very likely the hardest Sanctuary variation, yes.
But if you compare different areas, it also depends on yourself. Sanctuary has many crabs, and hermit valley is full of swirling shards, so if you’re good at dodging crabs and bad at flying you‘ll probably find Sanctuary easier
And always depends on the server. Maybe it‘s easier to compare the difficulty if you do them solo, but that might change different aspects too

I have done many shards alone and can tell that crabs are far more annoying to doge but they can be cheesed through shared memory. But those rooks have time gaps.

And those time gaps are only there for some parts as they move in a circle

for the solo part, this is probably exactly why that sanctuary shard stands out in my memory, because i happened to do it solo more than once and in my early days, so that was just dying in panic all over

As a busy college student, it feels distracting. Having to go there at least 4 times there for a jar. Otherwise, peaks is a safe source yeah.
