Starting Season of Passage: “oh wow, this is really pretty!”

Just to finish off my quetionare here on the situation real quick. I understand that seasonal items are not always set in stone from beta testing towards live version, so I normally don't keep track to what is where in beta.
But this is the new season which is live now.
I personally am not pleased with this choice, be it accidental or not as a non-AP player.

the way it works is, there's still 8 people in a server with you who look like fully rendered (but shadowy) sky kids and then 400 other less detailed sky kids with you that are colorful but not detailed. Or possibly they look like orange fireflies if they're around the guide or the meditation circle

i had a really hard time at reset with the new season. i was drowning in the crowds. It was better after most people in my country went to school/work, but the area still easily had a few hundred people in it.

yeah, i just got home from school and things are wild. i'm staying out of it for now. personally i've always liked how the isle was so vast-seeming , so filling up all that empty space with people is uncomfortable. you can never get a bit of silence anywhere, there's always 2 or 3 skykids honking in any given area

what I have always hoped is that developers would manage to add a "favourite emojis" section which you can save your favourite ones and they will always be on the Top of the list, no matter if you have used other emojis recently

i had a hard time with the aurora concert crowds at first too, but they were downright organized in comparison.

Bloom was sweet and lovely.

Costructively, I feel this season is so far chaos, but i have hope it will even out.

However, having the season spirits glowing the same color as the moving bits of decorations was also a problem.

I like the intimate nature of isle so I think that smaller groups would be nice, and instead of seeing all the colorful ghosts honking they could just show the other people as the orange floating particles , cus that adds to the magical nature of the season

the aurora concert i liked at least because it made sense for there to be such a huge crowd. and you had moments where there wasn't so much going on all at once. there was reprieve

i do like the idea of other players being represented as little particles! i saw someone mention it'd be cool if they were fireflies, which i think would suit the atmosphere.

It changes theme a lot! I'd say that Performance and Aurora were both fun little seasons too with Aurora being a bit more sad at times, Flight was kinda in the middle but ended happy. Abyss was supposed to be scary I guess but I just love the ocean so I was happy the whole time LOL

Right, but this is the breaking point. I've been noticing things get stricter and stricter and now we're here at 0 days.

We're gunna be looking at 'you'll have to pick and choose and miss out on some free stuff' even while skipping the top spell nodes in the next season or in a season or two unless we're vocal with TGC like the TTRPG community was with Wizards of the Coast. Refuse to get next season's pass, in app purchases, or merch until they back off on bullying the free players and players who need the skip days for accessibility reasons.

I feel this season has some pretty new and fresh things. Some new quest mechanism, new point of view attaching to Sky lore, rolling emote is genius, and some cosmetics are pretty fresh too (liking them is question of taste tho)

How to play an instrument in the closet that you do NOT own

I remember seeing this trick somewhere on the internet in the past (original credit to them first, sadly I've long since forgotten where I saw this), and as of this update (0.21.0), it still works!

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have both you and a friend stand near the prop closet with your friend having an instrument equipped
2. Equip the instrument you want to try out at the closet (do not close the window)
3. Have your friend take out their instrument and select a music sheet
4. The option to join in on their music sheet should appear above their head
5. Click to join and play away!

It will look kind of funny cuz you'll be "playing" the prop you currently have equipped, but at least you'll be able to listen to the instrument before you buy it without having to look it up.
You can also wait for the music sheet to be finished and then you'll be in free-style mode though your music key will probably still be the same as the music sheet that was played.
Sometimes the "join in" option might not show up, but your friend selecting a different music sheet or you restarting your own game should fix this.

You can try your luck and sit at return shrine together. I managed to get in there with friend B, but I tried for 50 minutes to merge with friend A and couldn’t get it to work, it’s #known-issues for this update

Yeah, I had the same problem. Couldn’t see the spirit at all. 2 people joined after a while and they can light the spirit so that solved the problem for me. You can also try going back home and use return shrine if you haven’t

Sorry, my English is not good. I can't talk quickly, I can't join the discussion. I just want you to know I felt.

Opening of season of passage wasn't good and I was disappointed about it. It's too many peaple, Hustle and bustle. It's like Japanese "Mannin Densha"
Mannin Densha is rush hour train in Japan. It's practically impossible to get a seat. Whenever I'm riding a packed train, I'm unable to move. Every morning, the trains are very crowded during rush hour. When I need to get out, if I don't say "I'm getting off" then I won't be able to move through and get off the train. It's famous unpleasant thing in Japan, and most Japanese peaple experienced it everyday.
Some Japanese skykids hoping to reduce this kind of stress in Sky, me too. But opening of season of passage looks identical to Mannin densha. I confused, couldn't stand the noise, feel squeezed in. I'm about to cry and first time I felt other people are annoying in Sky. Everytime I enjoyed journey with a stranger, but this day was different.
Now, maximum number of players in the Season of Passage quest hub to 400. Thank you team, but it's not enough. 400 peaple is still too much. So different Aurora's concert and butterfly event in the days of bloom.

I want a choices. How about a option to go into a normal server we can experience the season.

So I just started playing again today. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who played the quest first and then go off to find the seasonal spirits right?
Only that they're not in their spot anymore. I can still relive then and collect the emotes, but I can't see the cutscenes at all.
It seems so unintuitive because the first thing most people would've done after teleporting to the seasonal area is talking to the season guide, getting the first quest, and then completing it. Then exploring to find spirits. Exploring becomes even less of a priority because the seasonal area is just Isle at night.
Is there any way to get the seasonal spirits back in their original places? I tried going back to daytime Isle but they're not there.

I'm kinda sad that they're not planning on making the crowd optional. I regret buying the pass as I will probably not do more of the seasonal quests as long as the season is here. I get really really anxious in these crowds with all the lights, the honks, the noise and the emotes of other players. I was so excited to take some screenshots with my girlfriend in the new area. Especially bc I saw the spirits hang out around the large rock? But it was way too crowded to see/find them all (yes even with the 400 cap)
I just wanna lie under the night sky and enjoy a pretty area with my friends not be on the verge of panic as soon as night falls 😭

Yeah but only around the memories not around the large rock and not like... a normal hub and then crowd mode when you want to do the quest. Because having the crowd for that is tolerable. Especially when I can prepare myself mentally for that and not just be thrown in without any warning.
I have a severe panic disorder and fell in love with the game because it calms me down a lot. But this really ain't it

So like I said I will wait with the quests and exploring and everything I love about the game until the season is over and its empty and I think that's really sad tbh

I see peaple pass by Isle usually, most peaple doesn't stay long time there. and night is usually associated with silence. but as a matter of fact, concept of season of passage seems lively with a lot of people. it's like a festival. I think that, when I saw quick update from Game Designer.

strategies are pretty generalised with burn darkness and avoid crabs with red shards on them (honking doesn’t stop them)
end goal is to burn everything and get all the light afterwards! and entering the shard memory after everything might give u wl if u can find it
look up season of shattering for lore!

During season of Shattering. A new mechanic showed up where Eden would erupt from time to time causing those Shards

Based on the Story of the shards you're just supposed to relive every Strong eruption (the red colored ones) Wait for the seasonal guide to show up (the rock ) and sit down. Then repeat that 6 times so you get all the memories (each memory has its own "story" picture and winglight)

Then after the season ended we still have eruptions as a game feature that happen from time to time. Weak eruptions and strong eruptions. Each happen at its own timeslot (some days there are no shards)

Red shards = ascended candle reward + memory winglight

Black shard = regular candle wax reward

Hmm some strategies i do such as honking have been mentioned. But if a particular shard lands near a cloud, always reserve a flap for yourself because clouds don't allow you to recharge if you're in the ground.

You may find yourself giving up on certain shards because of how hard they can be; but never ever afk in shards because they're very dangerous xD also lowkey unethical to just let others clean the shards on their own...

the weird darkness burning has happened to me once on ps4 too, where i would stand in one place trying to burn them and a piece of darkness in a completely different place would start burning

I did the red shard solo. It was not easy, it took a long time and was annoying and I had to dodge a krill once, but I completed it. I got the correct (jellyfish) memory.

The darkness actually seemed bugged slightly differently than the others since the update: it was only me and Lassie in the server and the darkness being able to be burned kept flip flopping between us at a pretty consistent rate. They would burn and pop on my end for a few seconds and stop, then be burnable/popable on her end for a few seconds. It was...oscillating very evenly which seemed new to me
