Well yes and no. Technically it uses glitches to get out so it's not really a feature, but the devs are very aware they have a lot of out of bounds enthusiasts, so they like hiding Easter eggs and things to find out of bounds for their playerbase

The krill UI exploit was a bug where if you opened the in-game shop when a krill spotted you, it'd stop tracking you and you could fly away immediately
You can guess how when people found that out, a ton of them used it to escape krills and that ended up getting patched out of the game

Oh chibi fall? The devs actually encourage OOB exploration. Plus, chibi fall doesn’t mess with in-game currency (which is a big no-no) or give anybody unfair advantages so I would be surprised if they decided to patch that.

The only changes I’ve seen be controversial are things that can at least be defended with the argument of “efficiency and faster loading” which I think we all know what I’m referring to.

In fact, in the early days of Sky, they temporarily removed the “rainbow bridge” oob which people were upset over, and the devs were probably like “Well, the color palette being there where players can find it doesn’t hurt anybody.” So they put it back.
