They’re a source of light, so I assume they don’t have a shadow in most realms realistically. They might have a soft shadow in daylight prairie because that realm is much brighter than the rest(that’s the only reasonable situation)

Edit: clarifying I said “most realms realistically” - @spark copper
It’s a bit inconsistent, you go to some places in the game and your character is glowing crazy, others have not much glow at all, it seems like avatar inconsistency

Detective Moth: The Return

It was a moonlit night, the city was blanketed with colorful lights and the Moon being a spotlight. Many sky kids slumbered, hoping for a new day. Few roamed the streets, safeguarding the city from unknown dangers lurking among the shadows.
A ray of light pierced through the darkness of a small alley, like most situations. There'd be something inside, well reader, you are right.

The sky kid, walked towards the alley while holding a baton on their right hand. They'd brandish their flashlight on possible hiding spots, attempting to reveal a figure.

The sky kid turned towards the opened door, and was dragged in.

One sky kid on the image had Valley Elder Hair, faceless mask, black cape and a rhythm outfit
The rest were twins, they both had moth hair and lightseekers mask. The pants in question was just average moth pants.

The TV would show of a Krill with a human body walk towards the podium, as they were about to make a speech it was blanketed by a cacophony of unpleasing eating sounds, utensils scratching the plates and loud chewing.
And the person doing this, was you. You were eating all of that, so shame on you for chewing so loud
Anyway, you finished your depressing breakfast of Soggy bread and Raw eggs because you absolutely have no skill to cook, but somehow have the skill to wear an outfit that makes you look like Sherlock Holmes. Enough roasting, you turn off the TV and exit the door.

She's an elderly spirit who adopted Mimi when she was a baby krill

But time went by and Nilana grew weaker because darkness was draining her life

During her last hours, Nilana decided to link Mimi's soul to a clay sky child, so Mimi can live the life of a skykid

Nilana passed away and a dark plant grew from her grave

Mimi kept guard of the plant and the grave, both as a Krill and a Skykid, and will protect it from anyone and will not let anyone burn the plant

So, as ordered, the hazardous journey from the prairie to the Vault was made... and cut short. They were caught up, trapped, they couldn't see which way was right or wrong. The havoc being wreaked drained their strength, leaving them weak and letting them succumb to the darkness around them... how selfish, the elders should have known better.

SKY STORY TIME
Whale X Krill, (yes i'm doing this )

Warning: Cursed.

*It was a fine morning in the Sky, the white clouds were painted by the sun's glow. A large variety of colours, hidden among the clouds was a fair creature. Her name is Whalecca

She'd slither among the clouds with a small school mantas following the Whale and a flock of Birds also following her.
The Mantas would gossip on the Whale's size, while the birds simply vibed and didn't care for what they were discussing, but to mind their own business was important.

Ahead was a green haze, the mantas drew closer to the whale and so did the birds. The winds bewildered, it twisted, whistled and howled violently. Soon, a wind tunnel formed, dragging them down towards the Golden Wasteland.

The Mantas and Birds were fine along the way, but for the whale. She was caught in a small tornado, which threw the poor whale off-course.*

PART 2 OF WHALE X KRILL / WHAILING KRY
Quick Recap:
Birds, Whale, Mantas, flying through clouds. Heading to wasteland, mantas and birds are fine on the way but Whale got caught in tornado and yeeted off-course.

*Whalecca (our main protagonist) recovered from the violent winds and she'd sigh in relief. She turned out fine, but she was lost. Around her were unfamiliar dunes and structures, unlike anything she'd seen before. From afar, she could make out a small light... As it got closer, it began to unveil menacingly. There were a swarm of Krills, 5 really.

Whalecca made haste and tried to ascend to the skies, but she was trapped on a Dark Plant that wrapped around her as she crashed down in the dunes. She'd struggle continuously managing to break a single vine, but it quickly recovered. Then, a blue light gazed over her which soon turned to red...

She'd wail in help, hoping to attract someone. But, nevertheless her fate was decided. As the swarm of Krills were about to finish her....
