**August At A Glance For Warframe! ** 🗓️

"It was so great connecting with you all–in some capacity or another–at TennoCon this year. Since then, we have deployed an all platform Hotfix and have been quietly working on exciting new content and updates for August (and beyond!).

In the near future, we have an all platform update on August 17th; expect to see TennoGen Round 22 Part 1, Quality of Life improvements, and fixes.

Following the update on August 17th, we are diving headfirst into streaming with 3 streams planned. We will have more information about the upcoming streams and respective dates next week!"

📢 PSA for fellow Kahl enthusiasts!

This week’s ‘Man the Guns’ Break Narmer challenge (Take out 10 enemies with the drop ship) is currently unable to be completed due to a bug that causes the enemy ships to take no damage. We are unable to hotfix at this time as we gear up for our next update - Echoes of Veilbreaker. As such, the challenge will remain active until the next refresh occurs (Sunday, Oct 23rd @ 8 PM ET).

In light of this, we are preparing a script for Echoes of Veilbreaker that will provide the 15 Stock reward. Eligibility is still being determined and will be shared once we have updates. A fix for the challenge will also go live with the update.

📢 Some notes on our next Warframe update: Echoes of Veilbreaker!

Greetings, Tenno!

We’re here with a status update on our upcoming deployment plans: we’re going dark on Hotfixes/Updates for the remainder of October. Spooky, right? The team is switching gears to prepare for Echoes of Veilbreaker. This Update will be going through the Cert process for consoles, which requires us to submit content and changes (also called ‘integrations’) to the Certification Process by a specific deadline. This Cert deadline is crucial to meet in order to launch updates, and as a result, our Hotfix activity must be paused.

There are a few key reasons why we cannot Hotfix the first is that we are required to pull over every integration needed for Echoes of Veilbreaker to the Test build, which is what gets deployed to the Public server. Once that occurs, we cannot Hotfix without reversing that process, lest we release unfinished content as well. Secondly, we cannot Hotfix or Update once Consoles have been submitted to Cert, as it would mangle the order in which the integrations are organized to go live, which is crucial for Cross Platform Play. Our goal is always to Hotfix all crucial and eligible fixes up to this point before we enter Cert.

That said, we will have a Devstream near the end of October; more info to come on Echoes of Veilbreaker and more!

Of course, we’re still very much online, thank you all for continuing to report issues in the Public build that we can fix for Echoes of Veilbreaker on all platforms.

With the arrival of Abyss of Dagath on October 18th, we would like to help prepare you for the Update with some rough update sizes on each platform:

PC: 0.7 GB
PlayStation 4: 0.87 GB
PlayStation 5: 3.95 GB
Xbox: 2.3 GB
Nintendo Switch: 1.24 GB

Our Nintendo Switch Tenno will notice upon downloading the update from Nintendo, there will be a secondary download of roughly 400 MB within the Warframe launcher due to large sound asset file sizes. This will be investigated during the next Cert build. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Alongside the Update, our Nintendo Switch Tenno will now have the Enhanced Graphics Engine. For more information, be sure to check the “Enhanced Graphics Engine coming to Nintendo Switch with Abyss of Dagath” PSA when the Update launches.

ABYSS OF DAGATH: UPDATE 34

<@&801928627306233857> Gather round and listen well, Tenno: Grandmother is back with another spine-chilling Naberus tale to commemorate the spookiness of the season! Build and enter the new Dagath’s Hollow Dojo Room to learn the sullen and tragic backstory of the faceless horse rider who stalks the Origin System in search of retribution: the terrifying 54th Warframe, Dagath.

A doomed Abyssal Zone Exterminate mission calls for Tenno aid aboard a drifting Galleon. Answer the cry for help and be rewarded for your efforts! Rewards from completing the mission are used to craft Dagath and her signature weapon Dorrclave.

Grendel Prime Access is also here! Feast your eyes and gain instant access to Grendel Prime, Masseter Prime, Zylok Prime, and his Prime Accessories.

This update also features heaps of Quality of Life changes, improvements and more covering a wide array of content. Including the Hydroid Rework, Companion Rework, New Player Path Improvements, Accessibility & HUD Improvements, and much more!

With the arrival of Whispers in the Walls on December 13th, we would like to help prepare you for the Update with some rough update sizes on each platform:

• PC DirectX 11: 2.82 GB
• PC DirectX 12: 4.18 GB*
• PlayStation 4: 3.54 GB
• PlayStation 5: 8.77 GB
• Xbox: 3.6 GB
• Nintendo Switch: 16.45 GB**

*Our PC Tenno running on DirectX 12 will notice a larger download due to all new optimized DirectX 12 shaders.

**This update includes a remaster for our Nintendo Switch Tenno! A remaster typically involves file optimization that helps reduce the overall size of the game on a particular platform.

The download size for Whispers in the Walls will be larger than usual (16.45 GB), since it includes the update content as well as the remaster (requires every file in the game to be redownloaded). However, once the download completes, the total size of Warframe on the Nintendo Switch will be reduced by 2 GB!

Whispers in the Walls will bring Warframe over the base memory allowance on Switch, so if you do not play using an SD card, we recommend you uninstall Warframe and reinstall it, as it will allow your Switch more space to operate while updating and will likely update faster this way.

We appreciate your understanding with needing to redownload the game, and hope you enjoy the extra space on your Switch!

We bring you an update on Cross Platform Save! After weighing the realistic options with less than 2 working days left in the year, we have come to the following plan for Cross Platform Save:

• Tomorrow, December 22nd, 2023, we will open the Cross Platform Save gates to ALL Tenno from **<t:1703250000:f> to <t:1703282400:f> **, providing the team with a full working day to monitor. If major issues arise we may need to close the gates earlier.

• After 5 pm ET on December 22nd, the Cross Platform Save gates will remain closed until the team returns in January.

We recognize that some Tenno may have to wait to experience Cross Platform Save until 2024, and for that, we apologize. In full transparency, we cannot risk the stability of the game and database over the holiday break by leaving Cross Platform Save enabled for all. The database surges we already see are manageable, but the unknown of leaving it enabled while no hands are around for emergencies is not something we want to risk.

What a year it has been for us - Warframe celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary, which is a milestone I never could have imagined when we first launched. We now say goodbye to 2023, and before we go, it’s time to share some thoughts on the past 12 months. The calendar is harshly reminding us how fast time goes by, and it demands retrospective thoughts so we don’t lose sight or perspective. We go into our 11th year next year - we need to bring some learnings with us!

But first, a question: do you have a favourite Warframe from 2023? Citrine? Kullervo? Dagath? Qorvex? Each of these new Warframes came with an Update of varying complexities and size - we’ve added so much this year and learned even more. Highlights and Lessons were common company with each Update and Hotfix - here are some that stand out to me:

Highlights:

Tennocon 2023 in-person!

Energizing to have the community rally online and in-person for our reveal of ‘Whispers in the Walls’ and ‘Warframe:1999’. Wow.

Risks!

We tried a lot of new things this year, risky choices in both story and content types. The Duviri Paradox was a risky blend of gameplay choices. Whispers in the Walls flirts with an unexpected future for Warframe - we have a mission to deliver this!

The Team

Working with the Digital Extremes team will be the highlight of my career no matter what happens. The people here care so much and motivate me every day.

Lessons:

Risks!

Risks also have a Lesson attached. We take risks, and sometimes these risks can impact the stability of a release. The Duviri Paradox ultimately suffered from some launch issues. We do not want to always ‘play it safe’, but we will try to balance our ambitions with expected stability.

Monetization!

Our first round of Heirloom packs resulted in heat. We will change the formula and apply lessons for 2024 when it comes to future Heirlooms. More on that next year.

Conclusions:

Our philosophy continues to boil down to something simple; to ‘make the game we want to play’. In Duviri, mixing story with ‘rogue-lite’ elements was the flavour we wanted to try. We will continue fixing and polishing this content. In Dagath, ‘Quality of Life’ was the mandate, with Naberus flavours in the package. And of course, with Whispers in the Walls, the mission was clear: begin the future of Warframe’s major story.

Tenno - our ambitions of delivering Cross Platform Save in 2023 have been a partial success. We are hitting pause. Over 100,000 Tenno have used the feature in the short time that it was open (WOW), but it will not be open over the holidays for stability and technical reasons.

More details on that:

Stability: When we opened the gates on Dec 22, it brought down our operations for just under an hour. We have since fixed this at-scale for now, but we cannot risk it happening again without full-time supervision.

Technical Reasons: On a per-hour basis, we are finding at least 1 major issue being reported that will prevent someone from playing over the holidays. We do not want this to trend in any direction other than down, so we have closed the gates.

We return in January to re-open and re-allow the feature to be even more user-friendly and stable.

Apologies that we could not keep it open, but it will be back!

I wanted to let you know that we're done with our Discord server adjustments for the moment, and give you a brief look at what we changed:

• Re-ordered a few channels, putting reference info at the very top, followed by announcements.
• Deprecated our way of using a channel for selecting roles, and moved this selection into Onboarding id:customize - This also allows you to hide specific channels if you don't want to see them! New Tenno joining the server see Onboarding automatically.
• Added Cross-Save as a role you can choose. Additionally, all Tenno will be required to select a platform when they connect.
• Added new channels for Cross-Save #trading and #1202034105899040798.
• Updated descriptions in channels across the Discord.
• Updated most posts to bot posts instead of Dev-specific, so any DE Community member can change them!
• Updated #1197322290166251680 to be a forum setup now! We will be locking the old players-helping-players shortly. We hope this will reduce confusion when multiple questions are asked at once.

With the addition of Cross-Save channels and Cross Platform Save always being available, I've already seen questions if we are removing platform specific (PC, PSN, Xbox, and Switch) specific channels. The answer is Not Yet. We understand there are some players who may remain on these platforms without enabling Cross Platform Save. We may remove them in the future, but will not be doing so right now - we want to wait and see if the channels are still used first.

EDIT: For our new forum-based channels, we are open to feedback! Send us a #modmail if you have feedback about the forum setups for these channels.

With Dante Unbound’s release this week on March 27th quickly approaching, we have made the decision to launch without the Deep Archimedea game mode and instead ship it in a Hotfix on all platforms next week.

The team assessed where Deep Archimedea was at and determined some additional time was needed to iron out the last wrinkles and make those final polish checks. Given the complexity of the game mode and all the careful design considerations required in its development, we want to ensure that when it gets to you in its best state!

Due to Cert submission issues, the Dante Unbound Update will not launch on the iOS build today alongside the other platforms .

At this time, this means a few things, as build parity between iOS and the other platforms will be out of sync:

• Mobile players** can still log into Warframe.**
• Cross Platform Save Account Linking to iOS Accounts/Devices is temporarily disabled until Dante Unbound can be released -on Mobile.
• For those already linked, your Account data is safe.
• Cross Platform Play to iOS will temporarily not function until we have build parity by launching the Dante Unbound Update.

A note for our iOS Tenno as we are moving the Awakening Quest (tutorial) into the initial App Store install with the release of Jade Shadows.

Previously, the initial App Store install was roughly 100MB, and the rest of the game would download in the launcher. Now, the initial app install will be roughly 3.9GB (which can be downloaded in the background like other apps) and you can launch the game to play the Awakening Quest far sooner, allowing new Tenno to jump into the action much faster.

What To Expect: 
In order for the above changes to take place, all iOS Tenno will need to redownload the 3.9GB app from the App Store after Jade Shadows launches on June 18th. Upon the launch of the update, you will receive an “Update Available” popup as usual and be redirected to the App Store to do so.  We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Our Xbox Tenno will notice a larger than normal build size since we have remastered Warframe’s data to optimize total disc space used. As a result, a full redownload of Warframe on Xbox consoles is required. However, this redownload will reduce the size of Warframe from ~58 GB down to ~45.4 GB on Xbox One and ~45.5 GB on Xbox Series when Warframe: 1999 releases.

++Nintendo Switch Remaster:
Our Nintendo Switch Tenno will also receive a small remaster which targets shaders, fonts, and more! This will reduce the overall build size by ~2 GB. The total build size on your Nintendo Switch should only go up by ~479MB after Warframe: 1999 launches.

+++iOS Download Size:
When Warframe updates via the App Store, it must redownload the base install (approximately 3.95GB) which overwrites the previous install. In other words, while CERT updates require a roughly 3.95GB download, these updates are not adding 3.95 GB to your overall app size.

Upon the launch of the update, when you load the Warframe app, you will receive an “Update Available” popup as usual and be redirected to the App Store to do so.

Other Ways To Prepare For Warframe: 1999
Complete all main quests up to and including The Lotus Eaters. Visit our breakdown post here for more info. The completion of the The Duviri Paradox quest will also be required as it is moving from a side quest to a main quest!

This is an unfortunate error, as this [SPOILER] Quest is intended to require 1999 system advancements before being accessible. Players who explore Höllvania should meet the requirements to gain access to this Quest within the next few days.

Upon realizing this, we immediately put in a server side fix to prevent players from starting this Quest too early. However, we are aware that some players were able to complete it before the fix was applied.

We kindly ask that you refrain from posting any content (screenshots, videos, discussions, etc.) related to this [SPOILER] Quest. Once players have followed the intended path to unlock it, this restriction will no longer apply. But for now please be mindful of what you post so as to not spoil the experience for others. Hey Tenno! A quick PSA for you all!

As lots of you have reported, the Atomicycle can be spawned and used in ALL missions, not just 1999 and Open Zones like we originally intended.

After some internal discussion, we’ve decided to not change this. It’s rad and cool and we enjoy seeing you whip out the bike throughout the Origin System!

HOWEVER, let’s set a few expectations:

• This leniency does not apply to other traversal vehicles - Atomicyle bug to feature!
• We will be fixing the spotload that occurs when you summon the Atomicyle in normal missions.
• We will be removing the Atomicycle summon from Archwing missions - they can’t fly, sorry!
• Any gamebreaking issues that we come across will be addressed as well.

We have determined the source of the freeze/crash issue our Switch players have been reporting, but unfortunately the required fix is Code, and our next Code opportunity is in the early new year.

Our most reliable repros of the issue are summoning the K-Drive in Orb Vallis and the Veso mission in The New War Quest. While this is not ideal in either scenario, The New War is especially concerning considering players are locked into this Quest.

With that in mind, our Support team can assist by removing The New War as your active Quest so you can play Warframe in the meantime. It’s important to note you’ll want to wait to complete The New War until we have deployed the code fix in the early New Year.

Our sincerest apologies to those experiencing this issue. We’ll communicate here when the fix is inbound for our Switch Tenno.

The team has been over the moon seeing player reactions to the Protoframes, especially your reactions with them in the KIM: Romance & Relationship System! We’ve been diligently fixing any issues since launch, but one in particular made us realize a large detail of the KIM system that we unfortunately did not communicate properly to players.

That being: Chemistry Ranks are locked behind Hex Syndicate Ranks.

Our apologies that this was not properly communicated at the start! The team is working to a) ensure that this restriction is clear in-game if/when a player comes across it and b) retroactively update our launch patch notes so they serve as an accurate resource.

Hex Syndicate Ranks required to reach Chemistry Ranks:

• Friendly: Fresh Slice
• Liked: 2-for-1
• Trusted: Hot & Fresh
• Close: Pizza Party

If you cannot increase your Chemistry Rank because your Hex Syndicate rank is not high enough, you will still be able to earn Chemistry with that Protoframe. Your Chemistry Rank will simply not increase until you’ve ranked up with The Hex Syndicate. Once you have ranked up in the Syndicate, your Chemistry Rank will increase accordingly upon earning Chemistry with that Protoframe.

In-Game Communication:
These changes will be coming in a future hotfix!

KIM:
If you are prevented from ranking up a Protoframe’s Chemistry due to being an insufficient rank in The Hex Syndicate, a note will be added to their Profile indicating so: “I need to prove myself as a member of the Hex before I spend more time talking to them one on one”.

This note will not prevent players from further messaging the Protoframe while they have remaining conversation options. Once a player has exhausted ALL conversation options for their Chemistry Rank with a Protoframe, a lock icon will appear on their KIM chat, indicating what Hex Syndicate rank is needed to continue talking to them.

Our hope is that observant players will notice the Profile note if they are aiming to increase their Chemistry Rank, but not restrict KIM interactions if players want to keep chatting to Protoframes while they work on their Hex Syndicate. As a reminder, you will still be able to earn Chemistry while in this state.

Bounties:
If you are prevented from ranking up a Protoframe’s Chemistry due to being an insufficient rank in The Hex Syndicate, the Chemistry increase you’d see in a Bounty End of Mission screen will have a “Requires [Syndicate Rank]” label over it.

Cross Play Save has been a part of Warframe for nearly a year now, and we wanted to make sure you know that Account Merging will only be available until January 17th, 2025! You have one month left to Merge if you have an eligible account (i.e. an account created before November 24, 2023 which did not previously participate in account migrations). To be clear, Account Linking is NOT being retired, and will remain a feature in Warframe - only Account Merging is being retired.

Greetings and Happy Solstice Tenno!

As most of you will be aware, we just wrapped up our annual Tennobaum event! Tennobaum promotes the joy of sharing with your fellow Tenno. Thanks to the generosity of our fantastic community you have all unlocked the final tier of Tennobaum rewards! These rewards were distributed via Inbox message on <t:1735938000:D>.

Unfortunately, there was a small mixup at the factory. The lovely new Arca Solstice Bundle was misconfigured, causing the standard Arca armor to be delivered to some player's inboxes instead. The incorrectly configured Arca Solstice Bundle was also shown in the Market, when it was intended to be a free gift.

• We have removed the Arca Solstice Bundle from the Tennobaum inbox message, because it wasn't actually giving the thing you were supposed to get!
• A new, separate message will be automatically distributed that includes the individual Arca Solstice armor parts
• Anybody who got the incorrect standard Arca armor via inbox message will keep it.
• Anybody who purchased the Arca Solstice Bundle in the market will be refunded.

We will run refunds when the office returns to normal working hours, some time on or after January 6 2025. We hope this doesn't dampen your Tennobaum spirit, and look forward to seeing your Captura art wearing the new armor set once the situation is corrected.

You have one week left to Merge eligible accounts! To be clear, Account Linking is NOT being retired and will remain a feature in Warframe, only Account Merging is being retired.

For clarity on the difference between Account Merging and Account Linking:
For Account Merging, you will select one account to act as the Primary Account, whose Progression will be retained for the final Merged Account. The Items, Customizations, Resources, and Currencies of all the connected accounts will be combined into the final Merged Account.
For Account Linking, you will select one account to act as the Primary Account, whose Progression will be retained for the final Merged Account. You can then link this Primary Account to Warframe accounts you use or create on additional platforms to use its Progression, Items, Customizations, Resources and Currencies to any linked platform. Account Linking will remain a feature in Warframe.

1999 has come, and with it, a bounty of Hotfixes to iron out any Y2K bugs! As we’ve resolved issues along the way (but more are being tracked and tackled), we’re pausing Hotfixes while we develop an interim Cert build - Devstream #184 will expand on when and what content will be released in this build! Please note this interim Cert build is not Echoes of 1999 (yet!)

One important note: during this downtime, the iOS team may continue to Hotfix to tackle performance improvements exclusive to the Mobile platform!

Like always, our next Cert Update includes further code fixes. Code describes changes made directly to the engine, which requires Certification from each Console platform to pass its checks, such as ensuring an Update doesn’t crash the machine itself.

We also need to ensure Cross Platform Play parity so all Tenno can continue to play together!

You can find further details on the “Code” and “Cert” processes here!

With that said, a healthy helping of resolved issues from our ‘Known Issues’ list you can expect to see are:

• Freezes/crashes on the Nintendo Switch
  • We sincerely apologize for this taking so long, Tenno! This Cert build was our only opportunity to resolve these reported Switch crashes.
• Continued work towards camera and lighting issues in various Quests and Cinematics, like The New War, The Second Dream, and The Sacrifice.
  • The broken camera in the Epilogue of The New War.
  • Incorrect camera position and broken lighting in the Chamber of the Lotus during the Angels of Zariman intro cinematic.
• Calendar Task progress lost after a Host Migration.
• Certain Task Challenges appearing to restart after completing them in-mission.
• Brief Respite / Duplex Bond not working for Clients with Inner Might.
• Corrupted Ancients giving Thrax ghosts Overguard.
• Rare cases of Scaldra Exterminate Bounties containing no enemies.
• Legacyte Harvest ‘Capture multiple targets’ Objective allowing extraction before the Objective is finished.
• Players/Crew not being seated correctly as the Railjack pilot or frontal gunner.
• And more as we continue fixing your bug reports!
  • Severe performance degradation when using Arcane Camisado on Nekros is on our radar!

NIGHTWAVE - Nora's Mix Vol. 7 Ending + Vol. 8 Incoming!

Howdy Dreamers,

Nightwave: Nora’s Mix Vol. 7 is coming to a close—ending on <t:1738868400:f>! Like the last few Mixes, Nightwave: Nora’s Mix Vol. 8 also begins on <t:1738870200:D>, roughly around <t:1738870200:t>.

Like previous editions of Nightwave, we will include duplicate protection for rewards you have already unlocked. Identical to Nora Mix Vol. 7, Tenno can expect to be compensated with Nora’s Mix Vol. 8 Creds instead of the previous unlocked reward.

However, with Nora’s Mix Vol. 7 closing, you’ll want to cash in your remaining Nora’s Mix Vol. 7 Creds before the end date. Leftover Nora’s Mix Vol. 7 Creds can be sold for Credits afterwards!

Make sure to tune into Devstream #184 on <t:1738350000:f> for a sneak peek at all things Nightwave: Vol. 8, including the new goodies coming!

Additionally, we’ll be retiring the Duviri daily Challenges from the Nightwave Challenge rotations due to these Challenges being inaccessible until after Uranus.

In our brewing Hotfix, and based on Community Feedback, Omni Forma in the Gold and Arcane reward tiers are being changed from BLUEPRINT to BUILT. In conjunction with that change, Omni Forma in the Silver reward tier remains a Blueprint, and its rarity reduced to match the Tauforged rewards.

With Techrot Encore's release, Steel Path and Arbitrations unintentionally require players to complete a placeholder node to unlock this content -- meaning players are currently **unable to unlock Steel Path or Arbitrations **if they did not do so pre-Update 38.5. This unfortunately will require a hotfix to address, and we consider it a priority for next week's deploy.

Until then, you'll have to wait a little longer to get access to this content if you are an affected player. Apologies, Tenno!

Hello Tenno!

We know we ping you a lot, so to give you a bit more control over what you do and don't receive pings for, we've created a new Discord Role (and a new channel)!

Previously the "@Updates" role existed to be pinged for Patch Notes, Hotfix Notes, Developer Workshops, and basically any time something related to an update happened - build sizes, deployments taking longer than expected, going dark notices, upcoming fixes, and anything else related to an update.

To make sure you're only getting pinged for what you want to be, this is now two roles:
<@&801928627306233857> will receive pings ONLY for Patch Notes, Hotfix Notes, and Developer Workshops.
<@&1363991685679284284> will receive pings for the above, and everything else! If it's related to an update, expect to get a ping with <@&1363991685679284284>.

This goes along with our new channel, #game-updates! Messages to this new channel are going to include update related content that isn't Update Notes or Developer Workshops - all stuff we were using @Updates for.

We hope this extra level of granularity on pings is helpful to you, and we'll be looking for other improvements like this we can make across the PlayWarframe Discord server.

If you would like to change your roles now, you can head to id:customize to change your roles, and you can always access this menu from "Channels & Roles" at the top of the channel list.

Due to a change in Twitch Drops entitlements, players cannot receive their Claimed Twitch Drops for PC, iOS, and Cross-Save accounts. As we have currently gone dark, we are unable to address this issue until we launch our Interim Cert Build.

What an exciting week in the world of Nintendo with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2!!

We wanted to share an update on the status of Warframe on the new system.

Currently, Warframe is not listed on the NS2 eShop for new downloads. We are working with our Nintendo partners to get it relisted as soon as we can. However, users who owned the Warframe game app and updated their Nintendo Switch before the Nintendo Switch 2 release should already have the virtual game card on their NS2 account and can play it on the new platform. This requires Nintendo Switch System version 20.0.0 or later.

Please note that players who have Warframe on their Nintendo Switch 2 before the launch of our upcoming update, Isleweaver, will have a small visual bug on our launcher. This does not affect gameplay, but you will notice a visual offset in the launcher video until we can deploy a fix with the update.

We are working with Nintendo to get Warframe available on the NS2 eShop and will update you once we have confirmation!

Update 39: Isleweaver is here!

Hey Tenno!

Return to the floating Kingdom of Duviri, a land of fables and stories, to push back the latest incursion of the Indifference! Major Neci Rusalka has resurfaced among the floating isles — and she's brought the Murmur with her. Equip your Warframes and embark into Duviri with your full Arsenal in an exciting new gameplay twist!

The Isleweaver Duviri node is here! The once forgotten Scholar’s Landing Isle of Duviri is wrought with Murmur, and Dominus Thrax has requested your aid to fend them off and sever access to his Kingdom. A decree for the unrestricted use of your Warframe has been made to push Rusalka and her Murmur minions out. However, the Murmur aren’t the only ones serving Rusalka… a poisonous predator lurks deep in the Isle, waiting for prey to fall into her lair.

The time-limited Operation: Eight Claw takes place in the Isleweaver node and runs from <t:1750865400:f> until <t:1752679800:f>. It’s worth noting that the Isleweaver node is available to play now before the Operation begins, but Operation specific events and rewards will only begin at 11:30 AM ET. Dominus Thrax has opened up a shop with Operation specific items for you to claim as thanks for cleaning out the cobwebs. Community progress in the Operation also contributes to the unlocking of special Invictus Signas!

The 61st Warframe, Oraxia, has leaped onto the scene! She is the evolution of a perfect hunter. Weave her silken strands yourself or become ensnared by them in Scholar’s Landing. Oraxia also comes with her signature weapons - the Scyotid secondary and Spinnerex whip melee.

So much more has threaded its way into this update, including the new Incarnon Scythe Thalys, Valkyr’s rework, new TennoGen, new Warframe Augment Mods (for Kullervo, Citrine, Caliban and Jade), a plethora of New Player Experience changes, Quality of Life changes, new Hex KIM conversations, and a hearty list of fixes – turns out this web really can catch bugs.

Duviri’s new tale is being told with your name written in its pages. Will you be triumphant, Drifter?

Update on the Operation: Eight Claw Trophies! After seeing player reports about misleading Clan Trophy progression, we took a look, and we agree. Our UI could have been more straightforward in presenting what tier Clans were EARNING vs HAVE EARNED, and we understand why many players thought they earned higher tiered Trophies.

Because of that, we have re-run the Trophy script with some more relaxed parameters:

• If a Clan had any PROGRESS towards Terracotta but didn't qualify, give Terracotta

• If a Clan qualified for Terracotta, give Bronze

• If a Clan qualified for Bronze, give Silver

• If a Clan qualified for Silver, give Gold

Apologies for the misrepresentation of Trophy progress. We’ll adjust the wording for future Operation goals!

Ostron scouts have returned with foreboding news: the Plague Star has struck the Plains of Eidolon once more. Vay Hek possesses a toxin that can destroy the boil at the meteorite crash site, but he refuses to help; steal his toxin and destroy the boil before the Infested make their way to Cetus.

And yes, your Operational Supply Standing/Rank is still intact from the last time you played Operation: Plague Star!

Event Changes and Fixes

Operation Plague Star has received a few changes and fixes — since these were not relevant to the hotfixes they shipped in, we’re outlining them below as quasi-patch notes:

• Reduced the Damage Attenuation on the Hemocyte to make it less oppressive.
  • We will be talking more about our wider plans for Damage Attenuation in our next Devstream!
• Fixed Hemocytes not having the “VIP” status of other bosses.
• Fixed endless enemies spawning in the final Bounty phase while all players are currently down.
• Fixed enemies being paused following a Host Migration during the Mixer Defense Bounty phase.

Additionally, Operation: Plague Star is receiving a few new items to its event store, including a one-time purchasable Omni Forma! For more details, please refer to the event rewards section.

What you’ll need to know

Operation: Plague Star features three bounties: Plague Star, Plague Star – Advanced, and Plague Star (The Steel Path). As expected, each increase in difficulty will reward more Operational Supply Standing per Bounty.

The Advanced and Steel Path variants will require an Eidolon Phylaxis and an Infested Catalyst. You can pick up the Eidolon Phylaxis Blueprint from Nakak in Cetus for 2,000 Standing, and the Infested Catalyst Blueprint from your Dojo’s Bio Lab Research Room.

Visit Nakak in Cetus to increase your rank in the Operational Supply Syndicate, or exchange your Operational Supply Standing for event rewards!

What you’ll need to do

Konzu has a Plague Star Bounty with your name on it. Select your chosen difficulty and complete a series of Bounty Missions to earn Operational Supply Standing!

• Plague Star: 1,000 Standing.
  • 50 Bonus Standing (if Drone is kept above 80% health).
• Plague Star – Advanced: 3,050 Standing.
  • 187 Bonus Standing (if Drone is kept above 80% health).
• Plague Star (The Steel Path): 3,650 Standing.
  • 225 Bonus Standing (if Drone is kept above 80% health).

We’ve got mush exciting news for you! The Vallis Undermind is out now, you can update and go play it in all its cap-tivating glory! Let me give you the quick rundown, but amanita brace myself, there's a lot!

The Vallis Undermind brings in Nokko, our 62nd Warframe! He’s a fungi fun guy, throwing around mushrooms, turning into a Sprodling, and spreading viral mushroom spores all over the place! He’s also brought his signature Archgun, Arbucep, which fires 6 heat-seeking missiles, each dealing a different of the 6 combination damage types! And don’t forget that Archguns can have Arcanes now!

After you’ve completed The New War, you can meet Nightcap in The Airlock in Fortuna, where he’ll send you into Deepmines Bounties by going DOWN in the Fortuna elevator. That’s right, it goes down too! Complete the bounties to earn Fergolyte, a resource used to build Nokko and Arbucep, as well as feed The Prince and make purchases from Nightcap. What actually is The Prince, I hear you ask? The Prince is an ungrown mushroom for you to take care of - feed it Fergolyte to watch it grow and unlock visions of Nightcap’s memories.

That’s not all in the Deepmines Bounties though - don’t forget to pick up mushrooms along the way to expand Nightcap’s Field Guide! Fill out the Field Guide to rank up with Nightcap and unlock more variety in his stores.

If we take a look outside of the Deepmines, outside of Fortuna - there’s even more content coming! The Teacher Quest introduces Teshin early in a Tenno’s time in the Origin System, and provides an introduction to Modding to help new players unlock their Warframe and Weapon potential early. Not to mention the all new Thornbak rifle!

You’ll also find new Warframe Augment Mods for Lavos, Xaku, Styanax, and Gyre! As always, they are available from the Faction Syndicates found in Relays.

Hey Tenno! If you’ve been in this Discord Server today, you may have noticed a few things shuffled around! Let me provide you with a quick overview!

#rules has been updated! Most rules are the same, but maybe shuffled around a bit - however we’ve tried to explain them better and even provide a few examples! We also added all channel-specific rules there, to ensure all server rules are easy to find. No more digging in channel pins to find the rules!

One rule change to callout for #1202034105899040798 - we are changing how often you can bump your post. Previously we asked you to “wait for 10 posts before you bump yours”, now we ask you to “bump at most once every 6 hours”. This should be far easier to keep track of, both for you and for our server Moderators.

We added a <@&1407414427925483653> role, which you can pick up in id:customize! We’ll be pinging it for new forum contests, or updates on already announced forums contests.

id:customize now also gives more control over which channels you’d like to see for Community Creations! Before, if you wanted to see #captura, we also showed you #fashion-frame, #decoration-showcase, etc... Now you can choose which ones you want to see individually. You can of course still select them all to see them all - just helping declutter Discord for those of you that really aren’t interested in, say, Shawzin or Mandachord songs!

We’ve updated two channel names - #faqs is now #faq and #discord-mod-mail is now #modmail! Just making it a bit cleaner!

#welcome, #faq, and #trading have had their embedded messages updated so they’re now full of accurate information! We’ve also made a bundle of small changes - from cleaning out pinned messages to updating channel descriptions - which we haven’t listed here.

While everyone will find the truth eventually, we ask that our best Tauron Academy students help preserve the mystery for fellow Tenno as they enjoy the update at their own pace.

Spoiler Courtesy

Spoiler warnings on your respective platforms, as well as spoiler tags on the forums, are the best way to share your experience without ruining The Old Peace Quest and The Dark Refractory gamemodes for others.

• For Discord, this means keeping new content to #update-41-the-old-peace , #1446197426871599194 , #1444128929320534026 , or channels designed for spoilers such as #spoiler-chat or #lore-discussion .
• Content Creators (streams, videos, Captura, fan art, etc.) should clearly label spoiler content and use spoiler-free thumbnails and titles.
• For our forums, We will have a dedicated subforum for The Old Peace on launch, which will house all update-related discussions, questions, and more so that we can keep the rest of the Forums spoiler-free. We could not be more elated for you to experience all that The Old Peace has to offer! This final update of 2025 sets the stage for our next major chapter with a heart-rending revisit to the past.

Return to the battlefields of old and relive your experiences on Tau with our latest cinematic Quest: The Old Peace. Albrecht Entrati’s trail leads beyond the Origin System. Only by delving into the past can the path ahead be made clear — but buried secrets can be deadly.

Completing the Quest will grant you access to the Dark Refractory – a new Navigation access point to new gamemodes: The Perita Rebellion and Descendia. You can also save the Quest for later if you want to jump right into these game modes with a new experimental feature called Mission Preview!

Relive repressed memories of the calamitous battles on Tau as the Operator in The Perita Rebellion or descend the Infernums of Roathe’s mind, wracked with memories of a violent past in Descendia.

Roathe, along with the rest of The Devil’s Triad Protoframes Marie Leroux and Lyon Allard, reside in La Cathédrale. A location somewhere in time accessible from a new portal in the Sanctum Anatomica (Deimos). They can all be talked to and romanced (if your heart desires) in the KIM system. Their Gemini Skins and Emotes are also available in the Market!

Bring the essence of the ultimate Tenno power to the battlefield! Focus has received a massive expansion in this update with the introduction of Tauron Strikes – a mighty power harnessed through the Focus Schools. Unlock Strikes by acquiring Tektolylst Artifacts, weapons summoned by the Operator and wielded by your Warframe to devastate the battlefield.

Operators and Drifters have received a significant remaster! Every feature has had an overhaul to elevate your unique look and bring a more realistic feel to these characters. On login, you will meet your remastered Operator and Drifter with the team’s best efforts to adapt their premaster looks, which you can customize further if desired.

There’s even more to explore in this update! Meet our 63rd Warframe Uriel, the Heretic of Xata. Shoot and slash with the Vinquibus, a new Bayonet weapon type that is both a Primary and Melee. Expand your Arsenal further with two Orokin-era Grineer weapons and 9 new Arcanes. Shock and awe with Gyre Prime Access. Earn Honoria, profile titles to wear proudly and howl at Lua with the Voruna Medeina Collection.

And so much more including Operation: Blood of Perita which commences December 16th! We will have a dedicated Operation post once it's live explaining how you can participate. Prepare by completing The Old Peace Quest, which is the prerequisite to be able to trade Operation currency for rewards at Roathe.

Operation: Blood of Perita begins <t:1765902600:f> and runs until <t:1767717000:f>! Earn Marks of Valiance, exchange them with Roathe at La Cathédrale, and earn new Rewards in addition to returning items from previous Operations you may be missing.

Operation: Blood of Perita will only be available to those who have completed The Old Peace quest. You have a few days left Tenno - get out there and quest before the Operation begins!

To participate in the Operation, starting on <t:1765902600:D> deploying into any missions in The Perita Rebellion will present the opportunity to earn Marks of Valiance. Venture into Steel Path for an increased amount of Marks of Valiance - after all, it takes more valor to head into war on the Steel Path.

After the launch of our massive new narrative chapter, The Old Peace, battle-hardened Tenno have fresh opportunities to prove their mettle with a new in-game event. Live now, Operation: Blood of Perita runs until <t:1767717000:f>, offering new earnable Rewards in addition to returning items from previous Operations that you may have missed.

What You Need To Know

Operation: Blood of Perita requires a degree of battlefield expertise, and is only available to Tenno who have completed The Old Peace Quest.

What You Need To Do

Deploying into any Missions in The Perita Rebellion during the Operation will give you the chance to earn Marks of Valiance, awarded in recognition of valorous deeds both past and present. The Steel Path version of these Missions will reward even greater quantities. They can then be used to claim Rewards from Roathe in La Cathédrale.

Operation Alerts

Keep your eyes peeled for Void-only Alerts during the course of the Operation for a chance to earn bonus Marks of Valiance, as well.

Rewards

Great courage begets great Rewards. Upon visiting Roathe, your Marks of Valiance can can be exchanged for some tantalizing offerings including a new Honoria, Valdur's Syandana, Dax Lustratus Shoulder Armor and the Loiaus Chest Medallion.

Our first Prime Resurgence End of Year Event 2025 rotation is now live until <t:1768503600:f>!

Like in previous years, this event will include two separate rotations — each containing four pairs of Prime Warframes (that’s 16 Prime Warframes in total), along with their associated Prime Weapons, Accessories and signature Customizations! Additionally, Protea Prime and Caliban Prime will be available during the first rotation via Vanguard Relics.

Another orbit around the sun is coming to an end. For those keeping track, we’ve seen 13+ orbits go by since Warframe’s Alpha in 2012. We cannot believe we are still here talking to our community.

Let’s review what we saw happen in Warframe in 2025:

Temple, Oraxia, Nokko, and Uriel. Four Warframes with incredible effort and style put into them and their signature Updates. Each of these Warframes represents a different tone of our world, and watching you master their kits and explore the Updates which they released in has been, as always, the highlight of our development cycle.

More than just adding Warframes though, we did a lot of reviewing: Oberon, Valkyr, Ash, Damage Attenuation, Exalted Weapons, Junctions, New Player Experience + The Teacher Quest, it’s too much to list so that’s just a brief highlight blast.

We have so much more to show you in 2026. Our team is filled with motivation for next year - this is a team made up of developers that have either been here since those early 2012 days, or some only joined to help us build things in the past few months. Either way, the energy in the studio is clearly focused on building even more Warframe with a team that is ready for the 2026 challenges and plans.

For now, take a seat wherever in the Solar System that you find yourself, listen to the hum of the Somachord, and enjoy the (old) peace. Our office hours are winding down, our support staff remain to help over the holidays, which we can never be thankful enough for! ​​​​​​​

Popping in on this Saturday to update our iOS Tenno that unfortunately we are still at a stalemate with this build, which means the login issues will continue to persist.

It’s been a good few weeks since the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Warframe back on March 25th. We’ve been enjoying seeing your excitement and reading player feedback to ensure this version of Warframe has the best experience possible!

As you know, this new version takes advantage of the many hardware improvements of the Nintendo Switch 2 and offers an enhanced player experience. As we continue to support both versions of the game on Nintendo Switch platforms, we’re enacting a change so that versions align with their respective consoles.

In an upcoming update, Nintendo Switch 2 players will no longer be able to access Warframe through the original Nintendo Switch version of the application. This means that all Nintendo Switch 2 players will want to go to the Nintendo eShop and download the free Nintendo Switch 2 version of Warframe to continue playing as normal.

Hello Tenno,

We are happy to share that we have been able to [resolve our issues](#announcements message) and will be able to re-enable the screenshot feature on both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles. Due to the nature of the resolution, this feature will need to be activated via a cert release. This means that screenshots will be re-enabled at the launch of our next cert release.

We really appreciate the patience and understanding from the community as we worked to bring screenshots back to players. We know how important it is to be able to capture in-game moments and recognize the inconvenience and frustration that the removal of this feature caused.

Nightwave Series 3: Glassmaker is coming to an end, and today we are announcing that date as January 24th 2021.

When Series 3: Glassmaker ends, there will be:
-The ability to acquire the Vitrica for those who missed Series 3: Glassmaker!
-Nightwave Intermission, this time with some new Challenges, a new Resource to earn, and a track to progress through!
-DUPLICATE PROTECTION! Intermission rewards are sometimes a repeat of the previous Nightwave series, and while newer players might delight in getting some of these new items, we wanted to add a way for it to still be rewarding for returning Dreamers! We accomplish this by giving a 50 Credit reward instead of a previously owned item. This does not apply to items such as Warframe Slots, or consumable items (such as Forma), but rather for owned, unique items such as previous Nightwave Cosmetics.

So…what next?
Nightwave will be undergoing some construction while Intermission 3 runs. Our goal to have a simultaneous release on all Platforms remains the same, and we will be reworking the pace and scope of Nightwave for 2021.

**Yes, Orphix Venom: Update 29.6.5 is launching today at ~ 3:00 PM ET on PlayStation and Xbox. The Operation will begin shortly after that at around 3:20 PM ET! **This will give you time to download the update and for us to make sure there are no major issues with it before we turn the Operation on.

We are also targeting today for Nintendo Switch, the reason for the delay is time zone differences between us and Nintendo making the approval process take a bit longer. So we require a bit more time to prepare for launch and get everything in place for the Operation! We’ll keep you posted when we know the launch time of the update and Operation: Orphix Venom itself! If for any unforeseen reason there’s a further delay, we’ll let you know ASAP.

Call of the Tempestarii Launch Window: We are working towards a simultaneous release of Update 30: Call of the Tempestarii on all platforms in April. This will of course include Corpus Proxima and The New Railjack content as well as the Hotfixes that followed to fix major bugs and implement popular community feedback.

Xbox Series X|S Launch Window: The next-generation build of Warframe is coming to Xbox Series X|S in April!

Call of the Tempestarii Download Sizes & Remasters:
The following are rough estimates of Update 30’s size on consoles. Numbers are likely to change prior to launch.

• **Xbox: **To prepare for the next-generation build, there are behind-the-scenes developer features that must launch with Update 30. In order for those to be implemented fully, Warframe must be re-downloaded in its entirety for it to take effect. The good news is that Warframe’s overall size will be slightly reduced as a result - roughly 30 GB down from 32 GB.
• PlayStation: Update 30 will be roughly 11 GB on PS4 and 12.5 GB on PS5. Size variations are to be expected based on the ways in which the different generations operate.
• Nintendo Switch: We have done a soft remaster in preparation for Update 30 so that when it launches the overall size of Warframe on the Switch will not exceed its current 22 GB. The download size will be roughly 7 GB due to the remaster process.

PS5 Load Times: Load times will be halved on PS5 with Update 30!

New Nintendo Switch Tennogen: Two TennoGen Bundles are also coming to Switch with Update 30 that feature items from as far back as Round 4!

We are well on our way to simultaneously launching Update 30: Call of the Tempestarii on all platforms. The team has been hard at work getting everything ready for launch. As you may be aware, we shifted over to a ‘No Hotfixes’ status on PC so that all hands could be on deck to get each platform ready.

We do not have a date to share just yet but expect to hear from us first thing next week with a release window!

In the meantime, here are some things you can do to prepare for the update:

🔹Prepare for the Call of the Tempestarii Quest by having these prerequisites:
🔹 Complete the Deadlock Protocol Quest
🔹 Own a Railjack (complete the Rising Tide Quest)
🔹 You will also be able to purchase a Railjack in the in-game Market once the update launches.
🔹 Prep your Zephyr Harrier color palettes of choice.

After our recent infrastructure upgrades (https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1258399-matchmaking-presence-server-upgrades-complete/), some players are affected by issues with finding sessions via matchmaking or inviting others to their session. This issue is occurring for Tenno on all platforms. This is specific to a particular server in our network, where players who connect to this server are not able to talk to players of other servers. The problem primarily (but not exclusively) affects players who are connecting to the North American West Coast.

We do not have a timetable for when the problem will be fixed, but we are aware of it and are actively working on a solution with our network partners.

We will update this thread with information as we receive it.

• We will run a script tomorrow for anyone who has already bought the Riptide Pack.
• This was a complete oversight that just didn't click to include in the Support Packs, but we are rectifying it.

Lots of questions about when our next Devstream is airing - - some info for ya!

October is coming to a close and all eyes are on our Quest to Conquer Cancer livestream Wrap-Up! We won’t have any Devstreams in October, but we have been putting together some plans for what will be our last one before we enter the era of all things The New War!

We want to pick a date for our final pre-New War Devstream that works with our schedule and also gives you all some concrete information on what to look forward to. It’s no secret that it’s pretty challenging to run a Devstream when all our in-development content is top-secret and spoiler-heavy, so we’re trying to adjust!

You can expect our next Devstream to air in the month of November, and we’ll have our usual posts up with the date announcement well in advance.

It has been 1 week since we released ‘The New War’ on all platforms, but it’s been many years since we first uttered its name. The New War has been a project of ours since 2018, and throughout the years it’s taken different forms. It finally released to you 1 week ago, built upon the elements of Warframe that have been years in the making.

We did it. Thank you for making The New War our biggest story update of all time. I'm so excited by your reaction and grateful for your patience and enthusiasm - I love reading about your theories and people noticing connections to the games past and future - it feels good to resolve bits of that story. If you played you know there's plenty of new weirdness in store. Since the early Closed Alpha days of 2012, we have set out on a quest of being distinct and uniquely Warframe. For us, the release of The New War will be an unforgettable highlight in what is now almost 2 years of IRL separation from our team and community.

This Quest truly is a testament to the community, its structure and story placing trust in your understanding of the Warframe world we have built. The New War’s pieces are lovingly crafted by over 300 developers and studio employees wanting to tell the very personal story of Warframe. Your story. And it’s only just begun.

I saw a lot of 'wish this gameplay stayed' and we share that feeling as well, so there will be some exciting experiments in bringing those change ups into the game in other ways that aren't purely Quest driven. We dedicated our Update 31: The New War to the Quest alone given its scope, and we dedicate 2022 to what comes next: a year full of doing the right things for Warframe. 2021 was all about clean-up and lead-up to The New War. We did our revisits of Railjack, Arsenals, tied together the Proxima & Ground with Liches & Sisters. But now, we have never felt more energized to work on Warframe, and we owe it to you to make 2022 our best year yet.

**Echoes of the Zariman: Update 31.6 is live now! **
This is our last major update before TennoCon (July 16th, 2022) and includes new Zariman content and a plethora of QoL changes that were heavily motivated by player feedback.
