Things I feel are important: Labs all close to another, trading in spawn room, room to expand and reactors on their own level
Don't worry about symmetry as you'll only ever notice it when looking at the planner.

Hope this helps:

1. Make Spawn room the central point from which you can go anywhere.
2. Accommodate all labs in one area.
3. Make it simple to navigate.
4. Use lower floor for reactors, oracle room, and barracks.
5. Spawn room should be equipped with Trade, Vault and Ludoplex.

for a while now, i've been working on a project to address the fact that there is a lot of incredible talent that's hidden away in rooms that very few people visit. i think that's a shame; people need to see what dojo architects are creating. one idea i had was to create posters or something for the rooms. posters evolved into "video posters". here's one such video poster for a recent room made by Avaratu in The Remnants of the Void dojo. if you make posters for your rooms, ping at me. i love this stuff and i wanna see yours! https://imgur.com/uO3HpnJ

another thing i would really love to see people do, is make maps of their dojos. this is an older map of the remnants of the void dojo; i haven't had time to properly update it since there is so much activity there rn. i'm not 100% happy with the format of my map, and i'd love to see other people's ideas on how to do a dojo map well. besides showing the general layout of the dojo, i wanted to have screenshots of the rooms as accessible as possible (i.e., not needing people to go look at a separate document somewhere). of course, having all that information on a single picture results in a huge, super-busy picture. the other concern was how to create a permanent room address system that survives room and transporter renaming. this is pretty important for a busy clan like RV, where transporters get moved and renamed every now and then. so i went with a numerical index, starting with the upper left. this way, for posters for example, i can include the room name and room ID, and even if the room name changes or a transporter gets moved, people can still find the room on the map.

but, again, i'd love to see other people's solutions to dojo documentation and mapping. btw, click "open original" to see the full rez version of this map

When I build stuff in the Dojo, I try my best to always build something that will have a level of replay value. Meaning, I build rooms with purpose. I try to bring usability into the room. I think about how can I add something to the community that they will enjoy?

In this case, the idea behind this room is to serve as an education room regarding resources. This Cryo room is meant to cycle the display of things being put in it, every couple of months. So that there is an incentive to check it out every once in a while.

@thorny hill well, im a little stuck with what to make in my insp hall, but something that is dark and castle-like. Having issues with texture meshing and idk how to get around it

I prefer the inverted version, looks very clean.

I see. You got options to get around it but keep in mind that sometimes you will have to accept certaing graphical glitches because of how Dojo decorations work. Having said that, these are the options I see could work around the issue:

1. Instead of two floor pannels, use four smaller ones.

2. You could use one big floor panel and use two smaller ones to make the other half of the floor.

3. You could slightly raise one of the floor pannels that are already merged, enough so that the flickering bug does not show up.

Try theese options and let me know how that works out.

This room I built is for ascension ceremonies. The idea behind the way it's built is that there are two ET's (EndoTransformers) one on each side of the room. The ascension console is in the middle. And basically how it works is that the ET's gather and transform the community efforts into juicy endo.

Just another way to give purpose to a room and have players visit it more than once.

I know I started this many months a go but if anyone knows my builds building machinery is my weak point so this project sat on the back burner while I took a break from warframe. Hello! I need some help with understanding what’s going on with the lighting effects in my dojo Grandest hall room? When you load in it supposed to be bright with kinda similar orokin lighting, but when you do load into the dojo everything shades weird as if the polychrome isn’t event working/applied. Everything is dark and having weird red glows in corners of the room. I have no idea what’s happening of what I need to do.

yeah that has been a bug for a while, DE is working on it but its a technically complicated issue I think was said in one of their forum posts.
if you place down a polycrome or decoration it will temporarily fix it until you reload

I can see that this 2 warframes doing something strange in there 😏 other then that I think room can go little smaller because of the that lock dor when you get to open it some day. Well this game is in old engin. Its not engin 5 or anything good as that. So of course this would happened. If they change engine they can make all this in 1 year and not in 9 and everything would be so much better. But unfortunately we are not that lucky

I don’t think u can, but in the polychrome in “change lighting colors” set “key” to a lighter color. “Accent” to a darker color, then “Fog” to shard black. Rooms may vary. They are weird like that. Some rooms you can do 2 light colors and then black and that works.

@cinder orchid at a push you can do what I have done...start a fresh solo dojo. If you have an active alliance that actually dontes to you, set up an alliance and add your new clan. People can still donate across alliance so you won't loose your support

Thinking out of the box, i used the cabinet as a mini fridge.

It's possible, though finicky, to place those panels lower so they look like an actual part of the flooring. You have to flip them, then use edges and such to get the height just right so the game actually lets you place it.
Edit: RIP in 1 hour slowmode, I was gonna show my wood flooring.

So you have a kitchen/lounge area combined, pantry under the stairs, inside food garden beside it. Next room is ur dining/meeting room, room to the left is like a storage/crafting room, room to the right is where the power from the water wheel is converted/stored and supplied to the rest of the house, room off that is the bedroom with the 2 sets of bunk beds and storage locker behind it
