@grizzled jungle - there are multiple lightsources, so there will never be a solid shadow. If anything, there would be multiple shadows overlapping each other. - That's a faff though, so I'd just just the gaussian blur tool...

It depends what you mean..... If your plan is to unblur an image so you can see details that aren't in the original... that's not really going to work. - You can't for example 'unblur' a fuzzy cars license plate to see the original number, that simply doesn't contain the pixel data any more... e.g.

In all honesty, I think that the whole Adobe Suite was probably intentionally easy to pirate in the past. Surely they knew that if students and maybe younger people would pirate software, and learn how to use it before they start their career, and then 10-15 years later, it would end up being the industry standard.

Place, draw or whatever all of the images into one document. Then group all the images. Then apply a Drop Shadow Layer Style to the group. Finally, rotate the group ~20 degrees counterclockwise.

I'm not experienced enough to rate it but there is something you could make better. For the light ring, reduce spread and increase opacity and size for outer glow (assuming you used outer glow for the light ring). And make the moon brighter for the parts underneath the light ring.

Select the Image Layer. (Click on it in the Layers Panel.) Right-click on the empty portion of the Layer and choose "Rasterize Layer" from the menu.

Ctrl+Click on the "White Shape Layer" to make a selection using the pixels on that Layer...

Now Switch back to the Image Layer and do Ctrl+J. That will copy those pixels to a new layer.

I think that was what you were trying to do... right? Trying to separate the character from the background?

...or rasterize the image layer (as stated above). Grab the Object Selection Tool. Draw a box around the character. Ps should select all of it. Then Ctrl+J to jump those selected pixels to a new layer.

I work all day with big screens doing post and at the age of 47 found myself needing reading glasses: I can see fine, but close range its starting to get blurry, although I work with big screens (27") and generally don't feel the need it really sucks reading on phone, so went to the doctor and he prescribed progressive glasses...wich I was a bit reluctant as I felt It would be a permanent thing (I see fine at far) and they're also much more expensive. So I bought some close to mid range , just for work, thinking I was being smart and it was today my first day and got pretty demoralized when I realize they distort a bit what I'm looking at in the monitor. Any reading glass users out there have any recommendations on best type of glasses for work use (large monitors) or any do's and dont's?

Hi, I always use the Smart selection tool with the lasso settings, on the smart object and then Ctrl+J that will also work, no need to rasterize it first.

first of all, I just want to say; our brand focuses a lot on creating quality content, which means everything needs to be as high quality as possible and also in line with our simplistic and clean style.

This illustration may be a little more complex

INFO: what I was thinking is you, first and foremost, creating the picture a live gif to make it more exciting and also catch pp's attention scrolling across our Twitter. Basically, i tought it would be dope if the trees, bushes or leeafs, so hit by some kinda of wind (by the left) so you would see some movement already, and notice it's a live picture/gif. Next ONLY IF THAT'S POSSIBLE is adding some bush/bushes, and making them move almost as there is animal inside hiding. nothing crazy significant, just a tiny extraordinary detail. The illustration would end with a leaf floating in front of the camera (from the left) where the gif would have the end text "part one" either you can have the leaf as a background (if the quality is high enough) or you could make the leaf black, and make it overlap the camera at somepoint.

Ah bugger it. I work for an agency whom other agencies come to, when the retouching work is too difficult or technical for them to do themselves... and not a single one of my colleagues has an adobe certification. 🙂

That said, I'm sure it can be helpful if you're applying for a job and it might be the difference between you and another applicant.

Best is to take a look at what heppens in back ground...you use the top sky bluured and blended with screen/softlight maybe using the ledge luminosity with much bigger contrast as mask

a white bevel on top of ledge will help a bit as well

You'll probably get more help if:

1. You ask in the illustrator or after effects discord groups
2. You actually post the question itself
3. You try including the odd 'please' somewhere in the message

The design agency I work with sometimes takes static images and animates them. adding running water to a tap or shower. Smoke, mist, a wall filling with colour, a flickering candle etc. - However, I honestly think that a 'breeze passing through' is a bit of an insane request. For that to look decent, you'd need to individually animate at least 50+ different leaves... If it was only a few... it would look like the (few) moving plants were alive and moving about on their own.

The image isn't a great resolution either.

I'd easily charge £600+ for something like that.

A cheaper, easier option might be for the image to show maybe a feint mist rolling through the image, or perhaps dust particles floating around being highlighted in the rays of sunshine coming through. This is something you could probably do yourself by just downloading a few assets and watching a couple of tutorial videos...

I'm relatively new to Premier Pro. I've put together corporate videos, music, colour, brightness corrections, and made very very simple movement/transitions etc.... which.... I suppose, to be honest can make up 99% of the general requirements for videos...

I did want to start learning After Effects. My original plan was to use my old (USA) Houston Public Library Card to access the Linkedin Learning Library.... but it doesn't work anymore!

(For reference, I don't live in Houston... or even the USA.... but they used to allow anyone to sign up and access the e-learning materials).*

I guess this means I'll go down the common peasant route and watch youtube videos! 🙂

I've never even opened up After Effects. I barely know what it even is.
The closest I've been to this is making little animations of bouncing balls and flying rockets in adobe... um.... was it called "Fireworks?

I remember "tweening" was a thing. (Not to related to "Twerking")

i felt like that in the beginning too, i watched a video on the basics of after effects which took roughly 5 min, then tried a tutorial on how to "shapeshift" one item into another, then went straight into one of the most complicated after effects tutorial for a logo design i have ever attempted (crossfire particle FX Tutorial! 100% After Effects! + LIVE Tour! by Video Copilot) and oh my god that taught me a lot of things in one go

i guess the advice would be follow tutorials and get familiar w it to start using it xD
