How are you opening the file? If it's a vector you might find it's already saved as 'shapes' you can open up and recolour individually within Adobe Illustrator

hey so ctrl+ or - to change brush size isnt working in the latest version of PS . Do we need to change something in preferences to go to legacy to make it enlarge or reduce brush size?

WTH!!!! now guidelines one is reg color and the other is a darker blue, I made a selection between two guidelines deleted that selection. The darker guideline disappeared and the area selected is still there!!! WTF

If the Guide is a darker blue color, it is active. Thus, if you tap the Delete key, it will remove that Guide.

Just click off somewhere else on the Canvas and it should no longer be selected.

I’m trying to render a fairly high quality gif but only have 8gb of ram on my Mac. Furthermore when going to the performance menu I have the option to allocate up to 5789mb of said RAM, its by default set to 70%. Would it be safe for me to increase it to 90%?

The reason I wanted the quality tbh wasn't just the sheer quality but also so chrome could not ruin the proportions

it has this dumb property to just zoom in the file uploaded even if the proportions are fine but the pixel count isn't up to 1080

Yeah. It's not something I've ever tried to do. - There is an example of someone doing precisely that here: https://moviola.com/technique/tattoo-removal/ - but otherwise, I imagine you'd be literally photoshopping every frame individually!

Do photoshop .psd files need to have the files (images) used within the project in the same folder when transferring files to someone else or can I just send them the .psd file and it will all still work?

The .psd is enough if you embed the images but have in mind that if you change the original the update won't show on the rest of embedded graphic. 99.9% of the time, you're probably just dragging in various layers and images into the PSD file. They're being 'embedded' each time. This means that the PSD will have everything it needs. Simple. - the only time it will require separately linked files is if you specifically went to the effort of adding in 'linked files'. Which I can't image you'd accidentally end up doing :)

you can make a layer copy in a document? In the case you embedded the file file (which means you work on a copy of the original) original will stay intact

It depends on how and what you do. Depending on how you approach the edits, it may be possible to edit pixels non-destructively. Generally though, you end up sacrificing certain parts.

I myself will keep the original assets that I started with, the 'final' PSD file and usually the final exports at the other end. - However, much of what I do is agency work, where I might end up exporting out 20+ different images/assets from one PSD file (Since I often make good use of "Layer Comps" and multiple "Artboards").

Always good practice to keep backups of everything. Original files and working source documents. :)

Are Native Canvas Rulers enabled in Prefs? (Main menu: Edit > Preferences > Technology Previews). If that is enabled, you can uncheck and restart Photoshop.

That was causing lag with my Wacom tablet. Might work for you. Might not.

You can't just just convert from pixels to vector art by exporting it. You'd need to either convert it via Image Trace or trace paths/trajectories by hand using vector tools.

Those things are better accomplished with Adobe Illustrator.

The discord logo is going to be pretty awkward to make vector because it has the wonky, intentionally blurry stutter type effect all over it.
