CS6 (if it's a stable version) should accept dragging image inside an open psd file. png,jpg,gif...etc!
You can try to use the "File/Place Embeded..." function to place your images inside your psd project...
If that doesn't work, it may be because your Photoshop installation is corrupted.
There is no longer any support or updates for this old version, so if it doesn't work, I don't see any other solution than reinstalling it.

By the way, I tried it on my old prehistoric computer running CS6... Photoshop CS6 supports drag-and-drop for JPG, GIF, and PNG images.

Correct. I can't generate high rez images. And I don't consider upscaling generated images high resolution, even if you can get them to fairly large size. There are always problems in the details.

I can get to larger sizes. However, the lengths I have to go to in order to generate large, high quality images is a pain in the neck.

Its a lot of out-painting, trial and error and pushing pixels. Its an exercise in patience.

I think that's because it's a massive Technical drawing traced with thin lines... I found a workaround but can't shared the file too big...

1- Open the Pdf file and turn the layer in smart object.
2- Add a White solid color layer underneath,
3- Make layer on top active (the one with the drawing) then hit CTRL+J to make a copy on top then add a 1 pixel gaussian blur and change its blend mode to multiply.
4- Hit CTRL+J multiple times to create some copies on top => You should get a thicker line effect (keep adding layer copies till you get the line definition you want)
5- Select all the layers then CTRL+SHIFT+E to merge them together.
6- (video 2) You can convert the merged layer in smart object and add a level adjustment to adjust the blacks an get thicker lines (if needed)
That's a work around... Worth a try

Off course Export as png at the end 😉

Also... Do you have a CC plan with Adobe Illustrator... If so you can simply open your pdf with it select all the lines and change the line tickness for something greater than 0.06pt (that's really thin and that's the reason it looks so faded)

It would be better for cost and generating without moderation. However, people would need the appropriate GPU support, knowledge of ComfyUI, setting that up, etc. There are a lot technical hurdles that average users will not be able to negotiate.

Its cheaper in the long run to let Replicate render it for 5 cents per image. The only real problem is the moderation. Running locally, you don't have to live under anyone's rules. That's the true power of generating locally.

That's what contracts are for (does the shoot include retouching? Make Up and grooming? If not, the model is reponsible about the way they are groomed)

You'd use a Layer Mask for this. Not a Clipping Mask. First, you'd create a copy of the car a and put the ellipse behind it (lower in the Layer stack). Then you would paint on the mask where the ellipse would be visible through the window.

(*Side tangent) Grrrrrrrrr, coming from upwork. This is true in general. But with how competitive freelancing nowadays. Many new folks only have so few clients, with the added cost of pay per apply/subscription its getting rough. We have to start somewhere and clients are taking full advantage of that.

Within upwork majority of clients have less than 50% hire rate, imagine posting a gig and not hiring anyone. Usual case is that they didn't find someone cheap or desperate enough to work for pennies. With how freelancing websites like upwork or fiverr is designed. Clients are incentivized at the freelancers expense and this has crept up to local business and daily life.

Rather than enduring the cheap trenches. Applying local or doing part time work in retail or any job just to pay the bills while improving your skills.

Im in the rare case of being super talented and from a developing country so i can live off a few hundred dollars a month.

In some cases, a lot of clients just have no idea how much work or money the project cost.

They paste some number they saw on the internet 5yrs ago and want stuff comparable to what the latest artist make.

Others are more than willing to chat and discuss. But the issue is the gig only taking a few hours to draw maybe even a week. But the client wants to see multiple progress screenshot being shared. Halting the work until the sketch is finalized and multiple final final final adjustments.

The worst part is when they want you to be available everyday and must answer within 24hrs.

My physical art experience today just makes me wonder why Adobe never leverages how a subscription can be less or at least comparable to the cost of paint, canvas, sandpaper, polishing compound etc. Or in this specific experience I have to hold off on something because I thought 5000 grit sandpaper would surely be enough but it isn't so things go on pause just like that.

I think that most people realize that. I don't think that's a hard sell for people unless your entire artistic process is a 'hands-on' medium. What you're describing is why I got into computer graphics back in the early days. Art supplies were costly. (Broke student). No UNDO. (Messed up an ink drawing? Sorry. Start over.) Endless iteration. (Let's see this larger, smaller, in different colors.) Also, it just made many things possible that were not technically achievable on a piece of paper. :)

I've been almost wanting to get an airbrush setup because Amazon has basic cordless ones for like $20 that I think you can fill with common acrylic paint etc. and disperse it well. But the time to clean, the (probably) acetone to clean properly, the human error oh god kill me I don't want one anymore lol.

Its great if you want to paint something large scale. Physical art installations and such. I painted a Santa one time for a Christmas display in my home town. Others painted the sleigh, toy sack, reindeer. heh. They were flat, cut out of wood and we painted them.

Its a lot work. Cutting the frisket, cardboard masks and such. You get good with an Exacto knife and razor blades, that's for sure. :)

These days, I bet you can probably plot out vector art and a machine will cut the masks for you. heh

Or just put the machine up and it will just paint the thing. I saw a machine on an arm and it will paint a design on a wall. That's pretty cool. :)

They have ones on scaffolding that will paint a huge wall.

Wood carving is still very much alive here in the Philippines. The more common request is to do 2x epoxy coating.

Many of the workshops make it by hand and sell it themselves. So adjusting and custom request are accommodated.

Al tho it cost more, things are built to last. Especially if its coated 2x be it oil, wax or in this case the modern trend of using epoxy

Usually documents have a color profile like sRGB that tells what red is red, etc. The pound signs means no profile, the * means profile different from the working profile.

Not really that big of a deal to move the images around. But its a lot more convenient when you can just make a selection and generate right inside Photoshop. Then just keep on painting. The tools are all there.

Developers make extensions for Photoshop, like for Stable Diffusion or whatever. Then Adobe changes Photoshop under the hood, the third-party developers don't keep up and the extensions break when new versions are rolled out. It's a less than awesome situation. heh

I don't know if its deliberate or laziness on everyone's part. Probably a bit of both. :)

Did you use Export or Save for web(legacy)... to export your gif?
For animated gif you have to use the old way to export so: File > Save for web (legacy)... > then choose gif... You can hit the play button to test your animation before to export if your want. It should work.

Well, yes. Hence the Replicate account. That's how the script connects to the Kontext API at Replicate.

This is why I didn't go into explanations of this or link to the script. Because these things are beyond the scope of the server, they aren't part of Photoshop, we don't support these things, etc. :)

Not a big deal. However, it gets into uncomfortable conversations about generating pixels locally using your own GPU (which most people either don't have the equipment or technical knowledge to do) or using third-party services (like Replicate) which I'm not sure we should be discussing here. They are not officially sanctioned by Adobe. Also, I have no idea how they feel about it.

Anyways, as soon as Adobe updates Photoshop, most of these scripts break so its generally not reliable. lol

I have several custom scripts that connect to local SD instances and eventually they all stop working because Adobe has changed some API hook under the hood. Then you have to spend time trying to debug them. Its becoming labor intensive and almost not worth it anymore.

But I digress...

In adobe I don't know because it's very new . But I'm running some models locally because I have a powerful gpu. It's very hard for average people. Sometimes it stops working and you have to figure it out why. Lot of time investment. you don't get any support. It's like you're on your on. And the electricity bill is now triple for doing those stuff locally anyway. So far my only paid ai is Adobe.

Sometimes its better to buy cloud processing time to avoid wear-and-tear on the GPU and because of the power bill.

Although, in the winter, I can turn the heat off, close the door to my office and just run the GPU. lol

I'm getting one very soon. I've reduced my cpu performance by underclocking it and lowered the memory speed from 6000 to 5600 MHz. Even with all that, the temperature can still reach 100 degrees. Right now, I’m using the Deepcool AK620 air cooler, which isn’t enough at least for me.
