I don't know if there are Gradient Presets for all of them. However, there are a significant amount of LUTs and presets for things like sepia tone, etc.

You can use them as an adjustment. See: Color Lookup...

I really like the night from day/moonlightish ones. I'll probably frequently use them. Although I'm starting to wonder if they are also just gradient maps made more user friendly

I suppose you could think of them that way.

The LUT is a little bit more complicated how it applies colors. Gradient Map simply maps colors across the luminance values of the image.

There are some very useful gradient maps in the legacy gradients. They are the photographic toning ones. Thanks, I'll have to try that in the future, as of now I have really been enjoying making anything Tim Burtony with dark blues/dark green etc gradient maps. For some reason I always stayed away from the presets and will actually give them some attention.

Yeah I think I got that vibe when I first checked out the presets. Like I remember seeing an orange and brown one that made me kind of forget about the presets and gradient maps all together. But now that I am more familiar with using the blend modes, opacity and masks I'm playing around with it and even the "gaudiest" one can have a cool effect

Because when working with raster imagery, the image is based on a grid of pixels and the resolution is finite. You use pixels to approximate shapes. If you try to pack any complex shapes (not just text) into a tiny area, the fidelity/coherency of those shapes are reduced.

Larger area. More pixels. More fidelity.

Illustrator was designed for creating and editing vector graphics. There is no "resolution" per se. All of the shapes are created mathematically and based on vertices, lines and trajectories. Those can be scaled to nearly any size without issue because they aren't dependent on a pixel grid.

Of course, there are cross-overs in both apps. Photoshop allows you to create vector lines. Illustrator lets you generate raster effects like Drop Shadows. However, you really need to understand the difference between raster and vector graphics to work effectively.

Illustrator doesn't have any animation capabilities. The common workflow would be to create your assets with Illustrator and animate them in either Adobe Animate or Adobe After Effects.

That really depends on the project and the goal.

For print work, I would do all of the raster graphics in Photoshop and bring them over to Illustrator to create my print layouts. Do all of the vector graphics and typesetting in that app.

Photoshop does have aniamtion capabilities but they are really limited when compared to an app like After Effects. Professionally, you'd use After Effects.

Nah. It's definitely difficult. But you'll probably want to do more complicated animations. Things that will be difficult to impossible with Photoshop.

You could do this in Photoshop by painting it frame-by-frame but it would take you forever and what happens when you want to change or re-time it? In After Effects, I can just make it follow the path and I can control the speed of it.

Eventually, you'll want to use the correct tool for the job. (To save time and your sanity. heh)

That is completely generative animation. It runs on its own. No two animations are ever the same.

Aside from the "digital painting" aspects of what those guys do, most of it is transforming, warping, liquifying portions of an image. What the student would do is often based on their specific imagery assets. You'd really just have to watch them do it and practice on your own stuff.

The Rectangle is a Live Shape. The other is a just a regular path; it no longer has it's special attributes that can be edited.

Live Shapes are made with each of the Shape Primitive Tools: Rectangle, Ellipse, Triangle, etc. Once you edit them, i.e. move any of the anchor points around, and covert to a regular path, they cease to be a Live Shape. No. There isn't a way to convert them back. Unless you hit the Undo operation.

If you want more control over vector shapes, I suggest you look into Adobe Illustrator. That app was designed for vector graphics.

Illustrator has a 'Shaper Tool' that can recognize certain patterns. If you draw it close enough, it will complete it for you without having to be painstakingly accurate. heh

InDesign is a completely different software and has its own steep learning curve.

But I firmly believe that you can use it to create your project more easily and in better quality than with other programmes. It requires a lot of preparatory work. After that, it's ‘pretty easy’.

As I don't know which elements will stay and which will change (and also to minimise my workload), I have kept the layout very general.

(1) After the (one-off) creation of the paragraph styles, insert the text.
(2) The background image and the footer are added to the parent page. The parent page is assigned to the document page.
(3+4) Assign the prepared paragraph styles with a few clicks.
(5) Top view of the page
(5) View from the bottom of the page

(6) All colours, fonts, line spacing etc. can be controlled centrally in the paragraph styles.

I hardly ever use the data set function in Photoshop (I usually use the Datamerge function in InDesign).

But apart from that:
Don't use links in your csv file - use absolute paths instead.
Don't use links to servers - use absolute paths to your images on your computer instead (or relative paths for the location of the images if the text file is in the same folder as the image files on your computer)
Then it should work without any problems.

On my HP monitor, when i watch this photo and compare it to phone view of the same...

Colors on desktop monitor are too dull, like missing vibrance and like they have too much contrast

Yet, when I see this image...

Colors on desktop pc monitor are pale and missing contrast compared to phoen view

The titles like "Nexe Crijep" on HP monitor look like 50% gray or almsot, while on phone they are like 80% gray.
HP monitor compared to phone view, watching this second image is like full of haze effect over it, no sharpness, no contrast and no enough vibrance or saturation.

Raising contrast on HP monitor to 70% in NVidia settings gives me so-so good result on red colors, while grays are not yet good enough, and if i raise contrast to 100%, grays are good, but every other color is harsh (contrast is too strong).

So if anyone has time to read my thing, and can give me reference to which one is now more correct watching his monitor or how to fix this HP monitor, that would help me a lot.

Thats Windows 11 color profile and Photoshop color profile, but it pretty much is the same on anything I look at this monitor.

Also, nothing will change if I switch to sRGB on Windows.

I like contrasty things.
If I add per likings on this monitor, on phones or other devices it would look too dark.

Certain apps, like Photoshop, have cloud-based formats. If you save a PSD to the PSDC format, it saves to the Creative Cloud and you can potentially open that file from any device. Keep in mind that you're only allowed to be signed in to Creative Cloud on two devices maximum.

It all depends on my client. The one I would like to use the most for its adaptability, clear UI, and features is still Dropbox.
I mourn the old Creative Cloud system. I have 1TB that I rarely use now

I would suggest you find a server (or another type of platform) with an interest of yours (games, crafts, etc) and either target specific spanish speaking groups if you feel confident enough to converse in Spanish only with people, or multilingual groups on the same hobby where you can find, among other people, Spanish speaking people to talk to.
Find the subject first, so you can still have some sort of interest in the conversation, then search for language.

If you need some sort of advanced collaboration system, you will need to pay extra, so it really depends how much storage you need.
Wetransfer in its free iteration, is just a file sharing system, if you want to collaborate, you'll need WeTransfer Pro.
Dropbox, you can still collborate but the free version has limited features
Google, I think paying only gives you more storage (but don't quote me on that)
Icloud, same as above,

But there are 100s of other systems, so you need to pinpoint your needs in terms of features, files creations (Like creating PDFs on the fly, or a presentation for example) and - very important - test out the system on an individual level with a free version before commiting. If you find that for example, people get on with Google drive without too much teaching, then it's worth exploring what makes sense for most people. 5 is a small team so it should be sorted pretty quickly

So im not concered about wheret o place the file im more concered if it wont give any problems. Like when e file is in the cloud and 2 ppl sync it with their sync tool. That's a good point. Not personnally unfortunately, as I am using the simple features found in free accounts, or use my clients Business account on Dropbox, and my experience will then be for Dropbox. And I have had no issues so far.

@dreamy flume - All of the big platforms realise and can accommodate for issues where two users will open the same doc at the same time make individual (contradicting) amends, and then both hit save.... - and all the big platforms have various solutions to accomodate for it.

I have a team of 15 people and we use 100% cloud based storage, and we also have about 20TB of files that we store on there that we have on hand.

If money was no issue, I'd probably use Microsoft Sharepoint/Onedrive (Literally the same thing)....

**However, ** 20TB of sharepoint storage is insanely expensive.

So instead, I use Datto Workplace https://www.datto.com/resources/video-datto-workplace-explained/

The result is that each user simply has another drive appear on their machine (Mac, PC or Phone) that instantly 'works'. Files appear in their as soon as they're added by any person on the cloud network. - Literally 1 second.
This means I can have conversations with a colleague over the phone "hey, yeah, I'm just adding the images now.... 2 secs.... can you now see them?" "Yep!"

If a user has a file open it then 'locks' it, so others can't overwrite it.... and if there is any sort of issue where people both try and upload matching name files, that share the same origin, the system automatically adds the users NAME to the file. Meaning that on those rare occasions where there might be a sync mismatch there will just be TWO files side by side....

The user can then look at the both and decide which is worth keeping and delete the other.

The reason I HATED adobes previous solution was that its cloud storage would UPLOAD EVERYTHING to a users machine, whether they wanted it or not. Made it absolutely and completely useless as a solution for me.
This means that if Person A saves 15GB of PSD files..... it would then make copies on person B, C, D, E, F machines too. - Wasting more space and their bandwidth.

My Datto Solution does NOT do this.
If person A uploads a 15GB file, it will upload to the cloud but NOT then add it to every other users local hardrive space. If another user later decides they need it, they click it, and then the sync software just downloads it on request.

If a person opens an indesign file, and there are 100 'linked files' such as images, the Datto system will automatically download and pull these to be saved locally on the machine too. Something that other cloud online systems can't do.

Each user can also set their own local cache size (Mine is 100GB). This means that once the user has stored more than 100GB of files, the system will then start 'forgetting' the oldest stuff. This is still on cloud but it just means that if they want to look at it again, they just need to download it again.

It also has a great public sharing, so it means we don't need to bother with things like onedrive, wetransfer etc. If a client wants to upload assets, we can just give them very restricted access directly into ONE folder (such a project specific 'client resources' folder for them to dump stuff).

How much RAM it uses will depend a variety of factors, e.g. total documents open and their size, the amount of layers, effects, in those documents. Also, Photoshop settings, Cache Tile Size, Cache Levels, History States, etc.

Some users have all the Kyle brushes loaded, lots of textures, and presets, fonts, plugins… is it the case for you? Try to reset Photoshop’s preferences manually by dragging the preferences folder to the desktop. Try playing around with tools, get an idea of what each thing does.

Try merging 2 images to make it look realistic after that.

Use different types of select tools to get an idea of them too.

AI generation is a good starting point, however don't overuse it, and try using your own skill over time.

Watching a "basic crash course" Youtube tutorial will save you more time than trying to figure out how to use each tool does by yourself even though PS tells you what each one does when hovering your mouse over it. Even more so though, I recomend the tutorials inside PS in the help drop down menu: hands-on tutorials
