Sunday was an amazingly fun stream where we finished up the line art and then started coloring the skate. We also talked about how it could be taken into Adobe Photoshop and then uploaded to sites like Redbubble where you can earn money for your designs.
I hope this tutorial inspires others to try out various Adobe software and go out and create cool art!

The example that Jesùs shown Is just a to change color of the scrollbar, I did not do that in my PS because I use the scroll wheel on my muse to do that I have my Scroll wheel set to Zoom without Alt, Pan up and down Alt+ Scroll wheel and Ctrl + scroll wheel for pan left to right.

I'm not sure but I would think it doesn't work with that mode! But you could turn up the smoothing to create a more organic stroke.

Classroom in a Book series materials are good. There are also plenty of lessons that Adobe provides for free with the apps that can help you get started. I don't know how well any of it will translate to Photopea. Perhaps some of it will. Photoshop is a superior app and you probably just want to start leaning that instead.

No. It doesn't. It doesn't have editing capabilities like Photoshop on desktop. Ps Express is a light mobile app that can be used for quick edits like leveling, brightness, contrast, etc.

If your C disk to begin to be full buy a new HDD or a SSD and install your aps on that disk .
Why this, it's for get your APPs more space you need at least 120 GB free space on system disc C to run a program if you don't will have lag. Image is my Disc setup.
Adobe apps take a lot of space.
Therefore have I now change my install destination in my profile settings, Apps, in CC desktop app, from C disk to my D disk, after that have I uninstall all Adobe Apps, from C disk, but I saved my preset for the program first, I have a comprehensive list of presets. Now then I reinstall the Apps with CC Desktop app to my D disc. All my presets saved presets then I uninstalled the Apps will preset the new install.
Attention: CC Desktop will live the presets on the C disk an your user don't delete them, or your presets will be deleted.
For this to work ok you must use your CC desktop app both for uninstall and reinstall, don't forget to uninstall and reinstall your beta apps you use. This will free up nearly 100 GB on C disk.

The way the maga pack is, it contains way too many brushes to be manageable in Fresco IMHO. So what I do is create a new folder with my favs in Photoshop and either load the set with libraries or download as an .abr set in fresco.
I guess it will be the same if you buy the set you found on ArtStation eventually

Yes, I think eventually this is more a question of organisation than anything else. Although it makes a difference if you have a dirt cheap (everything is relative) Ipad. I have no such concerns with my Desktop using Fresco, but loading brushes can still be a drag on the Ipad

I tend to open the files in Photoshop, save them on the desktop, and delete them from the cloud. I know it's not how it was intended but it's my files, my rules 🙂

Well, I guess Lr on mobile is intended for a different audience than people using LrC. No the same features, not the same learning curve, not the same price tag on the gear also. Different software for different people.
Hence why I don't think they'll go full on cloud for LrC. I see lots of shoots where you need tethering and grading on the shoot itself, not necessarily with a proper internet connection available (on location)

In Microsoft Word you can insert Unicode characters by typing the hex value of the character then typing Alt-x. You can also see the Unicode value of a character by placing the cursor immediately after the character and pressing Alt-x. This also works in applications that use the Windows rich edit control such as WordPad and Outlook.

First create a registry value under key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Input Method of type REG_SZ called EnableHexNumpad, set its value to 1, and reboot.
Then you can enter Unicode symbols by holding down the Alt key and typing the plus sign on the numeric keypad followed by the character value. When you release the Alt key, the symbol will appear. This approach worked with most applications I tried, including Firefox and Safari, but did not with Internet Explorer.
On Mac OS X: open International in System Preferences, and in Input Menu select "Unicode Hex Input" to add this option to the input menu. Sounds obvious, but this is well hidden in the long list of languages, between Ukrainian and Vietnamese. When selected, hold down Option and type the 4 digit hex code.
Also on OS X: Calculator can be set to Programmer mode (Cmd-3), which allows for entering decimal, octal and hexadecimal codes, which are then displayed as ASCII or Unicode.

Here is how you can use the Perspective Crop tool. First, select the tool (depending on your workspace, you will have to add it to the toolbar first). Then, position the perspective grid over the rectangle you wish to crop by clicking on all four corners. Now you can adjust the resolution of the cropped image. Click on the tick to crop the image. If the result looks stretched or squished, try adjusting the resolution. That's it! You've successfully extracted the image and removed the perspective. This tool works especially well with posters, paintings or those documents you took a photo of with your phone.

Here is how to improve your displacement map
The displacement map will not move any pixels if you use middle gray (RGB: 128 128 128). Therefore, you should try to have gray where you don't want to displace the pixels. The Equalize filter will do that for you
By the way, you can even control the displacement direction. If a map has one channel, the image shifts along a diagonal defined by the horizontal and vertical scale ratios. If the map has more than one channel, the first channel controls the horizontal displacement, and the second channel controls the vertical displacement.

If you haven't tried them already, there are so many new patterns available in Photoshop! But you have to unlock them first. Open the Patterns panel and click on the hamburger icon. Then you can enable the legacy patterns. They will appear as a folder below the other presets. The swatches in this image represent all the new 2019/2020 patterns

So I have noticed the use of a very specific effect in a lot of the challenge submissions. This noise/grain effect. You can achieve this by using an extra layer, filling it with the desired color and setting the blend mode to Dissolve. Now you can adjust the opacity to generate this pixel-noise. If you like this effect, that's totally cool and I'm sure there are great reasons why you would prefer this effect over any other noise effect, but if you ask me it looks very artificial... somewhat synthetic and not really natural. You only see this effect if you're looking at the full res image of the submissions so it often goes unnoticed.
I want to show you a (IMO) better way to create more realistic (and custom) noise like this:
Notice the difference. In the first example you only have ON or OFF. In the second example you can see some variation in the brightness and size of the individual grains.
Here is how to create it:
Start by creating a new layer and filling it with gray...ish. Basically any brightness will do, try to go for 50%...ish
now we will generate the grain pattern. You have two options: the noise filter (Filter -> Noise -> Add noise) or the superior Camera Raw Filter (Filter -> Camera Raw Filter)
With the gray layer selected, open the Camera Raw Filter and navigate to the FX tab. In there you will find the "Grain" section. It has three sliders. Try to find a nice setting. I usually set the Roughness to 100%, the size to about 80% and the amount to 50%
Click ok to apply the effect and close Camera Raw.
Now set the Blend Mode of the noisy layer to Screen (I encourage you to try other Blend Modes, but this is the one that works the best)
It should look like this
Now we will create the actual grain/noise texture. Add a Levels adjustment layer by either clicking this button in the adjustments panel
or this one in the layers panel
Now make sure to set this layer as a clipping mask (right click or Layer -> Clipping Mask)
In the properties panel you should see those two sliders. Move both of them to the right until the noise texture becomes more transparent.
Congratulations! You have created your very own noise texture!
By adjusting the sliders you can increase or decrease the brightness and the amount of visible noise

To recap: Create a new layer, fill it with gray, add some noise via the Camera Raw Filter, set the blend mode to screen, add a levels adjustment layer, set the clipping mask, adjust the sliders of the adjustment layer.

But because of the perspective we can't really use any of the regular tools. They're designed for flat surfaces
Wouldn't it be great if we could use a perspective-aware clone stamp or healing brush tool?
Start by opening the Vanishing point filter
Now use the grid tool to draw in the perspective. You need four corners - if the grid is valid, the lines will turn blue
Now we can switch to the clone tool. Don't close the filter yet!
Set the sampling point by ALT/OPT-clicking the desired area.
set the brush size and hardness. I also recommend turning the healing brush option on.
Now you can use the clone stamp tool like the regular one. Paint over the area you'd like to mask out.
The perspective should automatically adjust
When you're done (you might need more than one pass), click OK (or Done) to close the filter.
Congratulations! You have successfully restored a distorted pattern 🙂
To recap: Open the vanishing point filter, insert the grid, use the clone stamp tool, define the sample area, paint over the unwanted object to restore the pattern.

Hey everyone! For Challenge #5 we asked you to create a cool nebula in space. If you want to add more structure to your nebula, you can try out the "Difference clouds" render filter. Start by selecting Black & White as your foreground and background colors (Keyboard shortcut D). Then generate some clouds on a new layer
Your layer should look like this
Now apply the difference clouds filter on the same layer
This can already be the base of your nebula (you would then set the blend mode of this layer to Color Dodge and continue like Val did)
or you can apply the difference clouds again to get this effect
This already looks like a more complex structure with distinct arms, shadows and brightness clusters
using this technique you will get fantastic results
And if you stop at the first difference clouds filter and tweak the levels a bit, you have great way to generate some maps for your next adventure

Just a tip that might help on today's challenge:
If after converting the selection into the work path you see that you have a lot of unnecessary anchor points, you can do the following steps:
Load the selection again > then when clicking on the Make Work Path from Selection icon, hold alt (win) or option (mac).
It will open the Tolerance Dialog Box.
The tolerance values go from 0.5 to 10 pixels. The higher number, the less anchor points your new path will have.

Here's a quick tip related to today's challenge:
Whenever you create a path instead of a shape, you don't have to create all over again in shape mode, just click on this button on the top bar and Ps will convert the path into a shape.
And if you created a shape instead of a path, you can select the shape layer > then go to the Paths panel > then double click where it says nameofthelayer shape path to rename it. Ps will create a brand new path to you from the shape that you had.
