This is just quick. I probably should've used some Guidelines to get symmetry in the shapes but this might be a way of going about this.

There are also probably other ways using pixels and masks to get the effect. Using vector shapes is probably a bit cleaner but a bit more difficult if you're not familiar with working on vector objects.

Instead of doing that, keep the selection you have and then tap the Generative Fill button in the floating task bar. Don't enter any text in the prompt area. Leave it blank. See if GenFill can fill it for you.

Honestly, I don't really use Patch that often. I use the Clone Stamp, Spot Healing Brush and Content-Aware Fill. That is to say, when GenFill or the Remove Tool don't work (as I expect).

Depends in which situation you are in: generally it depends what is selected. Can you explain a little when it does happen?
If a path is selected and you do copy paste, but if you deselect the path, and make sure only the layer is selected then it will not copy the path. Let me know if that makes sense

You have a table, but you want to have a bench. How do you turn the table into a bench? The destructive way would be to break off the legs and hammer everything together with nails. But then you wouldn't be able to turn it back into a table.
Or you could unscrew it and carefully put it together to make it into a bench to sit on. But this way you can unscrew everything again and put all the parts back as they were, making it a table again.

The only reason to work destructively I can think of is the smaller filesize. But unless you're working on something huge, it shouldn't amount to a big difference. And if you are working on something huge, you will definitely want to be able to make changes in the future.

Most of them do. There are some legacy brushes that use features that don't exist anymore (erodible tips etc) that aren't compatible, but of of them are.
If you need more info, head over #❓ask-a-question . In short, if you download **recent **brushes from Kyle Webster, from other sources or you create your own from a recent version of Photoshop, they are very likely to be compatible.

yeah, the right image is from indesign where it's just text that doesn't show up on PDF or in Photoshop. Images work perfectly fine in indesign

If it looks fine in InDesign but not when you export, perhaps its an issue with Acrobat (PDF viewer) or the fonts you're using or something related to the conversion of the text.

You could also do that. Shift W to enter "Presentation Mode" and then just make screen shots. Pretty much a kluge but if it gets you something for now, maybe its best. Then try to figure out the export issue later.

One other last thing, if you REALLY need a PDF.... After you've published online, you could try "printing to PDF" from the browser. Instead of a physical print, see if there is a PDF option in there. Just an idea.

Try checking individual objects using:

1. ) Windows -> Output -> Attributes and see if they are set to Over Print (This would cause white type to disappear over black type. There is also a setting for object to Non-Print.

2.) Windows ->Output -> Preflight which will help check for common production errors, like missing errors, miss-matched color spaces and trapping or overprint items.

3.) Windows->Output-> Flattern Preview which can help trouble shoot output issues as InDesign flattens it's layers with raster effects ( drop shadows, alpha transparency, blurs, etc...) prior to export to PDF, or Printing to PDF, Postscript or other print drivers.

Also is your white set to Paper or a custom color set to white? I most cases in InDesign, white should be set to "Paper", since creating a custom swatch as white, would typically indicate the use of white ink, which would mean a 5 ink color on press in most cases.

As a start you can use something like "chinese mountain stone walking path landscape" in Adobe Firefly and from there with Styles like "Oilpaint" and "Aquarell" and if thats not enough a little Composing in Photoshop or Adobe Express with two or three of these.

Me personally would not go that route for paying amounts of money for that, because that can easily cost a bit depending how good the individual Drawing should be.

Possibly because your screen in your old laptop was better calibrated.
Also depends if you got a specific profile attached to that photo, and that profile is removed when you export (as it's always the case if you export as, quick export or save for web instead of a straight save
One thing to test is to do CTRL+Y once or twice. It switches between a "proof view" and a non proof one.

That's just ideas thrown out. It could be something else, but that's a likely culprit. (Photoshop tries to similate colours when you work on it, but if you upload on the web or just view with a photo viewer, there is no simulation)
Eventually, if it's important to you, you may need to calibrate your monitor (with a device)

I've opened the same image in Pixinsight ( a software for processing astronomical data ) it looks the same as in PS but when I open it in Siril( similar to pixinsight) the background looks unusually dark, just like when I upload or view it in other device , it's strange.

I usually work with adobe RGB instead of srgb, could that be the cause. I should retry working in SRGb colour space, may be that would fix it or may be not

It could, the tonal range of sRGB is smaller than conventional RGB. But it also depends of what your screen covers. My current screen covers 100% of the RGB spectrum and I also do see the difference from when I had a more standard one

I wouldn't use the screen on my laptop though. To be fair my trade is retouching photos so it's a thing to strongly consider

Of course since you're seeing the images on the same screen it doesn't matter, but still if your entire workflow is calibrated, then there are less surprises.

I think it looks good. If you are looking for a "crisper" look - I would make a copy - open your "Camera Raw" Filter - Effects and adjust - then scroll down to "Detail" to make those edges crisp. Also you need to create natural shadows on the wood floor. Do this by copying your floor, increase the darkness and then use the Cntl+T to adjust the warp - multiple the layer to make it look natural

How does the process of shading and reflection of light work? Do I just press CTRL + click on layer until the subject is selected, make a new layer, use the eyedropper tool to select relevant colour, and paint on the edges of whatever object I want light to bounce off of with the brush tool at 0% hardness?

Actually that's not what I do at all. I always make a copy of the layer itself.

Then, I make adjustments in either Camera Raw or using simple brightness and contrast

That way, you are always dealing with the original light effect

What you're describing isn't a bug. That is how you export GIFa files. If you have a complaint about that, post it to the forum.

Basically duplicate the layer, add a blur, a black overlay, set a low opacity and then skew the position by holding CNTRL and dragging it around.

One thing I forgot to do, was turn it into a smart object first. - that way you can later modify the level of blur (or remove it completely)

Yeah, pretty much. - I just used the 'remove' tool a bit to remove some dodgy spots and I also focused on extending the TOP more than the bottom

I need help
I’m using a batch process to do up to 35 thousand images. I’m trying to colorize them and then save them to a folder as a batch process. It’s for me trying to colorize a tv show I like. It crashes after 3 thousand or so images are done
How do I prevent this crash? I need to have this going while I’m at work or sleeping so I can get it done faster. But when I get up or get home I find it crashed and turned off photoshop completely

I would put some kind of "Pause" in your process or packages of 3000 Images to process. Its only 10times you would have to redo the process then you have your 35k images.

I have this problem that I can only install Lightroom for the C: disk, it’s where I have my OS installed and the C: disk has only 100GB, it’s also where LR keeps the cache kept and I’m running out of space, I’ve changed the cache many times already to my D: disk which has 1TB but it keeps saving to the C: disk for some reason, with the error showing up when I have Lightroom on that I’m out of space and I have to change the settings of where I’m supposed to save cache. It won’t let me save pics in the cloud or even add new photos to edit

Is there a way to install Lightroom on my D: disk?

I never used lightroom. But when I installed Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After effects I always saw there is a option to choose custom location.

It shows me that the Cache is saved on the D: disk while the original photos are kept on the D: disk

And I just cannot change the place where cache is supposed to be saved

If you don't like using the new interface, you can switch it back to the old one. Its in the Options Bar at the top of the GUI.

Standard for that laptop. Generally displays are: 16:9, 16:10... 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 3840x2160.
