You can certainly place them all manually and it would still be easier in illustrator especially because they are svgs, but If you really want to do it in photopshop, I'd suggest turning on auto select layer to save you some time/ extra clicks

If that's the case, and you only want it as a brush, I would look at the history brush. It turns an history state - for example an effect , in your case, something like "mosaic" andmake it possible to apply it with the brush
That means that you need to apply the filter, and go back one step in the history list to restore the image, and then paint with the history brush, meaning that you will then paint with the mosiac (or any other) effect you applied prior

The history brush is one of those tools that had its heydays a while ago (oh the fun we've had!) but is now only used for that kind of things, if you look for tutorials, you may find relatively old ones. You will need to adapt them to a newer interface, but the concept is still valid

Can you explain what kind of file you have in Photoshop? It may be because the files aren't compatible somehow. (Illustrator doesn't manage indexed colours, it does RGB, or CMYK, that's all)

Better if you send a screenshot of the WHOLE window, of the file in Photoshop, and the same in Illustrator

If you got an indexed file, I might assume that your artwork is raster. Which will open as an image (not vector) in Illustrator and thus be converted in RGB (Just throwing things, I can't be sure unless I see how it looks)

I would personally leave things in RGB in PS, and reduce the amount of colours by other means (the "posterise" adjustment layer for example)

I've seen their Instagram account when they started to grate me the wrong way a few days agom and doing a reverse image search I saw things that looked stolen from other artists. I don't think it was stolen as is, but more things put together. I don't have any proof as it wasn't really clear cut so I will leave it at that.

Copyright laws don't take into account the commercial use to decide if it's breaching copyrights. Only the amount of money awarded by the judge when in court will have to do with that. (loss of earnings)

Hi, a raw file normally has no default look, you originally see the embedded jpeg, I’d select a profile that matches your camera’s like Nikon standard, neutral or landscape, according to the settings you have in your camera. You can import a jpeg alongside to try to match it and create a new profile.

You are first shown the render decided by the camera maker in the embedded jpeg for the thumbnail, then the rendering you chosed in Lightroom. Try camera neutral, vivid, etc. Do try to add some sharpening, if needed as camera makers try to make the images punchier.

You might need to select all the layers.
On ps desktop, there is a difference between dropping on the interface, or dropping on the image. Here, it seems that you simply have two tabs open.

With photoshop on the web you should be able to drag directly a PSD inside an other psd file already open in tha app as you can see in this short video...

Hi, not many people know that photoshop has a built in search and launch feature: Ctrl+F.

It used to be the repeat filter command but now it’s Find.

Just ctrl+F and type “assign” and hover to know where it is located, and click on it to launch that function.

Instead of searching under which category the photocopy or halftone filters are stored, just type and launch them. Way faster!

go the brush settings (window>brush settings) and then go to shape dynamics, check what settings you have for angle jitter. I think you're using a pen to draw with pressure/tilt control for angle jitter. decrease/turn off the angle jitter or change the control to "off". this should do it

hey, when you duplicate the shoe layer to make a reflection, put the transform anchor point on the tip of the shoe, and then rotate the reflection layer until it matches with the heel. make sure to keep the reflection layer behind the subject layer.

im no math nerd or speaker of words so forgive the crude desc but i was trying to figure out how to take a right triangle where i know only one edge's length (Noted as Points A B and C here), as well as a perfect circle that i know the radius of, and somehow derive from that the measurements of the last point of the triangle such that the remaining two edges snap perfectly with the circle.
The thing i know for sure, and why i think im just not a smart math boy who knows books is that the right edge and top edge of the circle for sure line up with the top of the shape and the line D

Why I told that, it's because opening it in either of these apps (if it was indeed a template from them) would have told you the font. Once you got the font name you can transfer it to Photoshop

Its important to understand how JPEG compression works. Eventually, you will hit a threshold when no additional compression is possible. It really depends on the image. More specifically, the range of colors in the image and how they are plotted on the grid.

There could be some corruption on disk where a module is saved. Its impossible for me to diagnose the actual cause. I'm not experiencing that problem and I'm running the same version. The only thing I can suggest is trying an uninstall/reinstall. If its a spinning disk, I might let Windows run a disk check to ensure there are no problems. If its SSD, then its probably not that, unless the SSD is very old.

To start with, I would just make a vector shape, assign it a bright color (probably white). Then transform it; skew it. Then experiment with Blend Modes and Opacity. To soften the edges of it, you could use a mask and feather it slightly.

The problem is not the export, it is the fast preview you get at magnifications other than 100% Photoshop tries to show you a preview of the layers mixed together and it might not be as accurate as when you view than at 100% it’s been reported to the team

How well you can select your head / shoulders (and remove the background) in the image going to depend on various things, e.g. - quality of the photo, how much contrast there is between you and the background, etc. You should also be familiar with how to use a Layer Mask. Then you can make adjustments after you remove the background. If you just make a selection and hit the delete key, you would have to UNDO if it doesn't work out like you had hoped.

But now that I've seen your latest screenshot: the corner widget isn't 100% accurate. But it's accurate enough for this purpose. (You only see a slight deviation from the circular shape at approx. 5000% zoom.)

Honnestly I think it's simply painted... Background image with monochromatic color scheme then Light effects are painted over with ultra bright color on a layer over the whole design to create this effect... Then you can play with blending modes (screen,color dodge or linear dodge)... You also can add "Outer glow" layer Fx (video 2 to increase the glowing effect...

Hi, assuming the cup is on its own layer, I would create a new layer on top, clip it to the cup (alt+click between both layer, so that you see an arrow)
I would then use the clone tool, set it up in the option bar for “this layer and below”, set to lighten blend mode, at a low opacity setting then apply strokes with a soft brush .

Those are very properly lit pictures. You need a high resolution camera, studio lights with modifiers, a skilled retoucher, working in raw to tweak the light; and for the background some gels to tint the colors. You could fake some of those with AI, but it’s not the goal, I think.
For the background, you could create smooth gradients if you work in 16 bits, add some noise, and layer several textures, for image 3.
You did not tell what the assignment is about, if you have starting images, if you need to shoot them, and the skills you possess…

I have some Intel driver issues with my intel iGPU but photoshop wont use my NVIDIA GPU even when I tell it to through the NVIDIA control panel and the graphics settings, going to preferences then performance for photoshop shows the graphics part greyed out

Any idea how to fix it?

It is a hybrid mode issue I am pretty sure but I don't wanna turn off hybrid mode

It doesn't make a difference, it uses the GPU only for some specific features, I've always used advanced PS without GPU

Yeah but I have some problem with the Intel drivers where basically it would leave some pixels unupdated

So when I move objects on PS, sometimes their pixels remain on the screen

And Photoshop itself tells me the drivers for my intel iGPU have an issue with them

Well if you select some layers, then click the add layer group you can name it, what you can’t do without a script is to add to a preexisting group.

I changed the nvidia control panel to force it to use my NVIDIA gpu like a week ago and it worked oncebut opening the photoshop afterwards had the same issue

is there a way to make blending modes more responsive to differences in brightness? I want the parts that are on shadows to be darker but I like the way the parts that are on bright sections are blending just fine.

Is this an automatically generated selection? Sometimes the automatic function does not recognise your subject correctly. In this case, you will need to manually edit the selection, e.g. using the lasso and shift key to add to the selection or the lasso and alt key to remove from the selection. Alternatively, you can create a mask and then edit it with the brush tool to correct the incorrect areas.

I don't know what your brush should look like. But you have checked three (possibly unnecessary) options. Disable Dynamique, Transfert and Lissage.

You also have an opacity of 75% and a pas of 14%. Is that what you want?

@tame cape is Right! It's definitely because of the direction option that you have strange “shapes” appearing when there are abrupt changes in angle in your line. When direction is on you must make smooth direction change and start to move your pen before hit the tablet to let photoshop detect the direction... J'espère que mon explication est claire...
