What is the point of hematophagy when it works nearly like carnivorous

Giving it to a small cresture changes nothing since they don't drink the blood of bigger ones

Giving it to a big creature is irrelevant because they kill whoever they drink blood from just like a carnivorous diet

they also only deal 5% + 1 of their prey's health when hunting

Hey don't really message here but I've been messing with the newest version of the game. Do you guys know if there is a way to get it more balanced. I want a regular medieval world with just human kingdoms fighting each other. humans are already weird I had to mess with their settings so they don't just build in a grid and take up the whole map for just a few cities, but now aliens are invading and they've taken over half the world lol. 1. Download map.wbox file
2. Press Open in... then save to files
3. Select the worldbox folder then the saves folder
4. Press the 3 dots button next to save and create new folder
5. Rename that folder to save1 or any other valid number.
6. Open that folder and press save.

You can create scenarios like have mages surrounded by demons, or create many human subspecies by placing humans far apart and edit them to be different

There's a lot going on but you can start by letting everyone do their own thing after you've placed them down

The achievements also kinda direct you to interesting stuff you can do

I like to start by generating a random map and placing down 2-5 species(i usually edit them but it might be smart not to if you just starting), and just watching what societies form. Have fun!

It can be overwhelming at first but I found starting out with a handful of a species and having their village expand is a good way to get a hang of how everything works. Then you can start adding on other kingdoms and disasters to shake things up

The only job that occurs to me that would add something interesting to the game that I have had in mind would be the Explorers who form companies (like an army but of civilians) that go to found new settlements, when founding a town half of the members stay and the other half leaves following the captain to found more cities.

The truth is, I prefer that they overhaul the armies.
First of all, through onomastics you should be able to give it the name that do you want (To have your own Hawk band) and that it is not only used for war. For example: When a dragon starts attacking a town, ALL civilians (unless they have some trait) should ALWAYS flee and the leader of that town's army will go to kill the dragon.
I also think that the armies should be separated of the kingdoms so, for example: There are armies of elves from a human kingdom that, by contract, battle for the demonic kingdom against a dwarf kingdom.
In short: Being able to give them custom names, armies should not only be used for wars but also to defend their cities from disasters and also become (through cultural traits I suppose) mercenary companies.

Mountains and summits are impassable to most units. From my experience you don’t need to worry about civs having enough ores(if thats what you mean) because eventually they build mines and can get all they want.

Has there been any development in terms of accessibility for the game? I really love working with the genetics system they have in game, but I'm colorblind. Half the time it's hard for me to differentiate between the yellow and green (if I'm even getting those colors right) branches of traits and I end up having to do a lot of guess work to find matching branches. So it winds up making the task a lot more tedious. I noticed there weren't really any colorblindness options in the settings which bums me out a bit. Love the game otherwise and I'm excited to see what they do next. Hopefully with a bit more in the accessibility area.

Ive had that same reocurring issue with candymen. They are prone to leave their kingdom and get the madness bug eventually. Turn off the amygdala and and editing their birth subtraits to pacifist usually does the trick for me

Any species that uses genetic mirror that passes down bad subtraits like psychopath could be really bad if the creature decides to leave their kingdom.

And most of the time for me its the most elite soldier that forgets their kingdom and their psychopath subtrait takes over
