Closest I’ve found is to get one that turns into an animal on death (such as wolves, crabs, or chicken) and use the monolith on them again.

I had a Pecklord race that died out, and a single pecklord was left that died and turned into a regular chicken and had kids with others of its kind.

I placed a monolith and its child became a pecklord. Maybe not technically what you’re looking for, but that’s the closest I’ve found.
