No one here has the time to show everyone the full thing but here's a few basic things
All u realy need for a character is there class, subclass, bacround and species, out of the 3 class is by far the most important one
There are a few different classes with different levels of difficulty but the hardest ones arnt that difficult to pick up
The levels are basically:
Martial, theas have no spells, this includes barbarian, fighter, rouge and monk (which is slightly more difficult to play)
Then half casters which are slightly more difficult which are ranger, palidin and warlock (which is also slightly more complex)
After that u have all of the full casters
There are 2 main versions of the game, the 2024 rules are considered the main ones in dnd beyond but are made to be backwards compatible with the 2014 or "legacy" options
I would recommend using dnd beyond
There are free rules on there but u only get 1 subclass per class with it if u want more u will have 2 get the books (I would recommend getting the digital versions if u want it)
