You said you tried another browser. Do you have another device you could try?

If it works on one but not the other, then it may be an issue with that device.

Hello! I am basically here to ask if there is another and more effective way to speak with support for DnD Beyond other than email. The issue I have I believe can be somewhat complicated and a back and forth between email with 24 hour wait times in between is far from efficient. At this rate I could see it taking weeks to complete the issue. Basically, DDB charged me at the annual rate for 1 year, but charged me each month in addition to the annual charge. I didn't catch it until they attempted to charge me another annual charge for the second year. I reached out with their ticket system and to their credit they responded within 2 hours. The problem, they made the problem worse! They refunded 1 month and then cancelled my subscription! So, now they have charged me 3 years worth and only provided service for 1 year. I did not ask them to cancel my subscription, I just don't want them to charge me double, and provide 1 year back for the double charge! Obviously, I responded and it's been 24 hours and they haven't responded. I have put in a second ticket and no response. I actually called Hasbro and they said they escalated it to a manager, but that was several hours ago and I still have no response. I know that isn't a lot of time, but if I could just talk with someone I believe this could all be fixed in minutes. Why is this going to take days or possibly even weeks to have this conversation. I get this is a bit of a rant, but it makes no sense to me that a 1 billion dollar in revenue company's (WOTC) customer service is through email! Okay, sorry, obviously I'm frustrated. Does anyone know how I can get in reach of DDB support so I can get my issue corrected. Thank you all!

Actually it is wrong, but I also don't own the Grim Hallow stuff to try to get a closer look. Since they're a Bard the spells should be using their charisma for their DC but are using their wis or int instead.

Unless I'm mistaken about DC math, in which case Emerlan will need to specify what problem they're seeing.

I think you’re right, I just wasn’t even looking at the save DC because the user didn’t specify and was thinking it was an availability issue.

The sheet looks fine as far as I can tell, and if I copy your character and try it locally it works. It’s possible that the issue is what spam noted above, that you stopped having access to TCoE following the character’s creation (or it got disabled locally for your character).

I already submitted a support ticket on this. I am having trouble accessing three magic items from the DMG 2024. (Sword of Vegenance, Tome of the Stilled Tongue, and Saddle of the Cavalier). I owned the DMG 2024 so I am confused that I am somehow locked out on the seperate Magic Item pages. I logged out and cleaned out the cookies and caches to see if that resolved it. Nope. I checked the Licenses tab in my profile to Sync my Entitlement but I don't see the button as my account is already synced. Let me know if there a way to resolve this.

I doubt any of us can get it fixed magically for you if support can’t, but the mods can report the bug up the chain if we can figure vaguely out what is causing it. Usually #ddb-feedback is used for that.

I was hoping to make a feat specific to deities that allows the devotee that has the feat to have about 17 spell levels worth of spells that is not found on the cleric list ... is this possible?

Example when a cleric of Roses gets to a certain level they can cast Wall of Thorns spell, or another Deity offers their clerics access to Polymorph. The cleric needs to be the specific level to do so.

You can only add spells to a spellcaster's spell list (to be prepared/chosen as normal for the class) with a background or a subclass. A feat cannot do this.

You could homebrew this by creating a background when they select the feat that you switch them to, which is pretty close.

The workaround for this would be to create a dummy subclass that you never use, and add the spell to that subclass and that subclass only. Then the Feat can grant it just fine, and the spell will appear in that Feat. You can't have it only show up in your spell selection after you gain the Feat, though.

So that’s what I did. I realized that for whatever reason the choose your size small or medium, wouldn’t give me the option if I did it from scratch so I chose aismar as my foundation which has a level 3 skill that unlocks and for whatever reason it doesn’t matter. It’s quite frustrating. This has been three days I’ve been troubleshooting this issue and was hoping I’d find a fix.

I think this is a common issue I've read in many places online in the last few days. I'm also experiencing the same problem and it started a few days ago.

It seems the problem is when you own subclasses but not the book (from when we were able to buy chunks of the books). The subclasses get some missing options, like the College of Swords Bard missing the Fighting Style options, the Divine Sorcerer missing the alignment spell, and Warlock missing some Eldritch Invocations.

Yeah @uneven lantern I did the whole process again and it still isn't working. Here are my steps I took. I created species and copied the 2025 Aasimar changed the text ONLY of the level 3 Celestial Revelation so that I can destinguish it and it shows up at level one still even though it is a level 3 requirement. <@&516370028053004306> I think I figured out whats going on. The Required Character Level for the Species Traits isn't a drop down so it won't identify the number you're inputting as an option. if that is updated that should fix the issue I'd expect.

I got a warlock that subclasses into a homebrew "Master of Hex & Blade (Hexblade 2025 Remake)". The problem I have is that the subclass has a feature that gains me proficiency with Martial weapons, and training with medium armor and shields. Hello! I have recently made a homebrew Warlock subclass with a list of additional spells exclusive to this subclass (some homebrew, some base game). But I have ran into the issue of my homebrew spells that are in the additional spells list are automatically being added to my character sheet when I haven't used a learned spell slot on the spell yet. I want it to be like any other Warlock subclass where I have to use a learned slot for them so I don't have a crazy number of spells. If someone can help with this it would greatly appreciated!! When you go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/homebrew/creations/create-subclass use the 2014 core rules as your base subclass to work from. I'd also recommend using an existing subclass as a template to look at how it was set up and configured.

I found a bug the day before and don't know where to sub it. It look like a drop down window should be where its just a number entrance for creating a species trait when creating a customer species so you cannot have level restricted traits. you can put any number in instead of a selection between 1-20

Anyone else having an issue like this? Purchased Divine Soul sorcerer a while back as part of the Xanathar Class Bundle, now for the last few days some of those subclasses show no options like this in this screenshot. I've been having a back and fort with support but no progress as I get only generic troubleshooting steps, while I'm very confident this is a bug in DnD Beyond for those that purchased individual pieces of content. Happens on mobile and desktop as well.

The only question I have is related to the Eldritch Invocations. Before this issue happened, I could select the Eldritch Invocations from Xanathar, such as Improved Pact Weapon, but now those are still missing from the dropdown. I don't know if they are included in the class bundle or separate, but those are now still missing.

Soooooo question. I bought the 2024 Eberron: Forge of the Artificer of which I am aware that it is not out yet. I bought it along with 3 other content pieces on dndbeyond (not the EU store) and expected the content to just be in my account. For some reason I got gift codes instead. I was able to redeem all of them but the forge of eberron one, that one ends up spitting out an 500 server error after entering the code

The free Basic Rules has only some of the feats available in the Player's Handbook. For the rest (like Tough), you'd need to either purchase the Player's Handbook or have your character assigned to a campaign where that book is shared with you.

I think that's just a display issue in the character builder. The Species tab doesn't have an "At Higher Levels" section like the Class tab does. Does it work correctly on the sheet itself, though?

• If you have no subclass, only the PHB Invocations appear on the list.
• If you choose Xanathar's subclasses (Celestial or Hexblade), then only the PHB and Xanathar invocations appear in the dropdown.
• If you choose Tasha's subclasses (Fathomless or Genie), then only the PHB and Tasha's invocations appear in the dropdown (the Pact of the Talisman will also only show if you choose a Tasha subclass).

Hello, I had DnD Beyond for a long while, I had a Master Tier but lost the subscription a while ago. I recently just purchased the Hero Tier and logged out to update my DnD Beyond App to be able to make sure I can make my characters.

I signed back in and things are working

My google Play store app sent me a message saying that I need to sign in or else my subscription will be canceled, even though it got paid and is working.

I am signed in.

The message hasn't gone away.

I updated my Google Play Store, I signed out, uninstalled, Installed DnD Beyond and Signed back in again.

The message is still there. I don't know what's wrong.

Do I just wait? I'm not sure what else to do

I recently found myself stuck with an issue I have no idea how to solve. So I'm here to raise the issue at hand and hopefully some kind soul can shed some light on how to solve it.

Here's the situation: a friend recently joined a campaign and created he character to play with us (just like the other players did a few weeks ago). The issue is that his character is the only one that doesn't have the "View" button.

At first, I though that either there was still stuff for he to do on the Character Builder or that his privacy settings were on private. I walk him through every single step, from joining a campaign on D&D Beyond to all the settings on the "⚙️Home" tab of the Character Builder and still nothing.

Did anyone ever came across a something like that? Could it possibly be related with the last maintenance on the platform?

P.S.: Not sure if it's relevant but I'm not the DM of the campaign in question and content sharing is active

This would only happen if the person’s privacy settings were configured such that the character wasn’t public. Even if you walk them through the process they may have done it wrong. Have them screenshot the privacy setting for that character or screen share it with you or something.

You might check the browser settings to see if hardware acceleration got turned off somehow.

If you have JavaScript blocked partially for security reasons it can inhibit dice rolling as well. That and hardware acceleration as noted above are the most likely culprits here.

If you want to use the 2014 one, you’ll need to select Warlock (the 2014 one).

If you want to use Warlock (the 2024 one), you’ll need the 2024 PHB and its version of that subclass.

Also Warrior of Open Hand is from the 2024 version of the monk the 2014 monk class is lower in the list. It can be helpful to toggle off core rules and make sure that the 2014 rules are enabled on the first page of character creation.

I know Javascript through ketchcdn and ketchjs are used for most dice types, and amplience is used for some of the more complex 3D dice. So long as it's allowing Javascript through those it should work.

You should just be able to re-edit the character back to how it was before manually. I don't know that DDB support could even help in that situation.

Right, but the problem is remembering what it was before. My understanding from older forum posts is that they can restore a character to an earlier state.

I know I purchased a book on the 15th (within my 30 day window) and I had the free 30 day subscription assuming I will be charged (and it should be 30 days anytime now) maintenance happened then nothing to my account no book or anything I had saved. I have a question about content sharing... My friend was previously the DM of a campaign and purchased books on his D&DBeyond account for the campaign. He is now a player my campaigns where I'm the DM. He wants to stop paying for the subscription but because he owns many of the source books, we're afraid of losing the content we've been relying on. As long as he is still a player and has a character in the campaign, if he cancels his subscription but I subscribe with Master Tier, will I still be able to access the content he owns?

I think you can make a homebrew copy of your subclass and change the stat there.

Custom actions is how you’d normally approach this, yes. It’s actually important the class not flood your action panel with every Extras tab entry or else it would cause problems for the other folks who don’t want that. This is why you’re given the ability to make your own actions.

That said, there is an unofficial browser extension called Beyond20 (I believe) which lets you roll directly from the stat block of an Extra.

We can’t provide support on that here, though.

Can anyone help me? i'm so confused when it comes to how balancing a campaign works. from what i currently understand logically is that the Dungeon master isn't supposed to kill their players and that balancing a campaign is where players aren't to have abilities that make them too powerful in damage and that players aren't to have something that gives them a overly powerful ability like truesight. and overly powerful abilities are those that ignore rolling for something or abilities that increase your damage. but that aparently these things aren't the situation. i feel that the true Balancing is done by a dungeon master not killing their players and that dungeon master not allowing any character species being able to have more abilities than one of the official D&d character species. Am I wrong or right? and if i am wrong why?

The PDF does get cached for a short time (10-15 min?) after you first view it.

So if you load it again during that time, any recent changes won't be reflected.

But basically, there's two versions of the feature.

The first is hidden on the sheet, so it only shows in the builder. That one just has a Description.

Out of interest - Is it somehow possible to swap customize weapons so I can change their attack ability score from Dex to INT or Wisdom for example? I know that this is possible for Warlock as there is a Pact Weapon toggle, but what about subclasses like the new Bladesinger or Battle Smith?

There isn't an automated way to do it if the subclass doesn't innately do it somehow. What I do is create weightless copies of my weapons in my inventory with the modifications made and equip/unequip them depending on what mode is active.

I can literally see Booming Blade in the TCoE list in-book on both the app and the web portal. This is as close to a guarantee as you're going to get, I feel. Spells in general on DNDB always show the first time that they appear. For instance, if a spell were present in the PHB and another book, it'd still show the PHB as the 'source' for it on DNDB. I think you're good.

If this also takes app support, my DDB app wasn't updating the character sheets after coming from the builder. I think it was a problem before the latest update but was happening when I'd adjust a character's levels or inventory. I'd go back to view the sheet in the app and the changes wouldn't show in the opened sheet. I reinstalled the app and now it's showing the most recent version, but im not sure yet if things are fully fixed.

One of the race traits 'Merge with Stone' states they know the cantrip 'blade ward' and as you can see Wisdom is selected as the spellcasting ability. However you can then see on their character sheet there is no blade ward cantrip and no spells sheet at all. Any pointers or anything I could be missing?

The Maps VTT has a right-click option to hide tokens from view. You can also just drag them to an area that the players can't see.

You'll know they're hidden because an overlay displays on the tokens themselves.

DM rolls are automatically hidden unless you specifically choose to send to everyone when selecting the roll.

Hello! I have access to the new Forgotten Realms book, but for some reason, I can't select the new Bladesinger for my wizard character. Is that not a feature that is usable yet?
