If you only just recently purchased the Players Handbook on DnDBeyond it can take some time before the system fully registers that you own it and can access it. Bumping this. Today was a new iPad OS update and also after that update, my one device simply goes straight to “Otto’s” Error. I also highly doubt, that the OS is the problem because as said - it crashed DURING a session and is not able to display maps anymore. Forum & Support so far have not been able to solve this. Do you need additional informations to solve this or is it just not usable for me on that device? (iPad Pro 10.5 inch with iPad iOS 17.5). Is the iPad too old to use maps? (Doubtful because it worked fine until it didn’t). If this was my only device, maps just simply would not be usable for me.

Hello I noiticed that I am unable to acces the stuff I bought from books in character builder. These are the missing ones I noiticed till now:

• strixhaven: (owlin, backgrounds, feats)
• eberron: khalastar and warforged are there but all subraces, backgrounds and feat are missing
• all biggby stuff is missing (feats, backgrounds, subclass)
• all backgrounds from other sources (i bought all backgrounds)
• some items from other books

I can acces the stuff I bought in listings but not use it in character builder.

Any advice? I have a Tabaxi Monk character who has Cat's Claws racial feature which gives 1d6 slashing damage to his unarmed strikes. He also has a +1 magic item (wraps of unarmed prowess +1).
I can't customize his standard Flurry of Blows BA action to use a 1d6 damage dice.
So I have to make a custom action for this which is mostly fine, however I cannot add the +1 for the item as a To Hit bonus. This is an option when editing the standard class action, but on my new custom action it seems like there is no way to do this?
In the pic, his To Hit should be +7 from his item instead of the +6.

Ooh also random little bug that I’ve found, can’t get to replicate it to see why it happens but every once in a while as a Level 3 and now 4 Warlock, my Eldritch blast damage randomly goes from 1d10+5 to 2d10+5. Even upon many refreshes the 2d10 persists. I’ll fiddle around with the character sheet, maybe roll it a bit, mess with the inventory and it fixes itself. I don’t know what causes this, sometimes it just happens out of nowhere. Just thought I’d mention it - it’s a little bug and I don’t know what channel to put it in 😀

I want to make a homebrew item, a arrow. I used the +1 arrow as a base, re-wrote what I needed, made the edits etc etc. Hit save and was rejected "You must select a weapon type".

I don't need a weapon type, or arrow isn't able to be selected. How do I get around this?

When creating your account, make sure to pick one of those ID providers and make sure your browser is set up to allow 3rd party cookies and pop-ups for the dndbeyond.com domain (because to login DnDBeyond will send a request to one of those ID providers and a login popup window will pop up for you to authenticate against).

I think the normal +1 magic item bonus followed by Damage (whatever the weapon's type is) with a fixed value of +2 would work

A weapon like Frostbrand has 1d6 cold damage, but a flat number should work as well

It wouldn't show up in the actual damage roll, but the little button has "+1d6 cold" next to it on the frostbrand so... Close enough?

Not sure if this is the place ask this, but I noted a mistake in Chapter 3 of Vecna Eve of Ruin. I don't want to say too much to avoid sharing the books content, but the image for the map in that chapter isn't labeled using the letter number system that most battle maps use in the adventure books. The chapter has the references for a letter number sequence for each room, but the image does not show it. From what I here, from those that have the physical copy the map is properly labled and seems to be only an issue on the digital copy.

I just want to make sure you guys are aware of this issue/bug/error.

Ok so basically I'm trying to make a moon druid for a campaign that's starting soon and so I bought the PHB on dnd beyond (I made sure it was digital so it isn't that) and basically when I go into the druidic circle subclass I can't find moon druid I've tried reloading, closing and reopening the sheet, deleting and making a new sheet, restarting my pc and even tried on my phone but I can't find it. The section in which it talks about the druidic circle even states that you get the basic land ones and also any other druid circles in the players handbook and other buy able content on the site so where is it why cant I find it?

Well see it's a funny situation. Cause the account I logged into via Twitch is the same account I logged into via Gmail. Just one using Twitch and one using the Email. They provide different usernames when doing so. I watch the usernames change in the top right when I go between tabs.

Don't think there's a way to add them directly, but you can make a homebrew copy of the subclass you're playing as and add the extra spell lists that way. The page will look like this, just add Cleric and Paladin, then hit save. It won't be able to be shared to public, but you can select it yourself in the character creator and the spells are then there for you to pick from.

I'm having issues with hit dice not working properly on D&D Beyond. When my players try taking a short rest at LVL 1, it only lets one of them actually roll dice, and automatically heal that amount. I can even try doing it on my computer and it still doesn't work.

Now that they are at LVL 2, I can roll hit dice and auto heal, but it should be 2d10 for a particular class, and for some reason it only heals 1d10.

I think this feature might just be broken, but it's fine. For now, I will just have the players roll manually.

Does anyone know of a fix, though?

You can only 'store' spent by clicking short rest

So basically when you open the short rest menu

• clicking the hit dice check boxes lets you increase or decrease how many are selected
• with more hit dice checked than you've spent, you can roll the difference to regain health
• clicking short rest locks those spent dice in
• clicking reset restores all spent hit dice

With the long rest menu, long resting stores half of your maximum hit dice

Toll the Dead is not an SRD spell and therefore can't be used in homebrew items made in DnDBeyond.

You can use SRD spells - just can't add Not-SRD material into your homebrew.

The character sheet doesn’t have a “mode” you can put it in to say “I have tenser’s transformation active” or whatever. What you can do, however, is just add a custom action that shows beneath your attack which rolls the 2d12. That’s what I do in such a case.

I got a giant belt from my dm to use as a weapon it does 3d8 damage but the problem is we couldn't get it to work by creating a magic weapon but it worked by making a custom action, problem is the custom action doesn't reroll 1's and 2's (great weapon fighting style) is there a way to do that?

And there's never a thumbnail here - even if I fill out the map title, the "next" is still disabled

Dice Rolling & Ability Score/Modifier Display are more for personal preferences.

Most of those settings will depend on your DM, so they’d be the best person to ask.

If you don’t have a DM yet, I’d recommend just leaving them all at their defaults.
