Why does ship xp count the same as officer xp in the Vessel Enhancement SLB? Ship xp is usually worth 8x officer xp. This event is now simply an officer xp event, there's no point in spending ship xp.

@pseudo rune heroic tags are a cop out. Any event that has the completionist trophy (like disappearing act, which STILL has not been addressed) should be able to be completed reasonably by f2p.

This arc has hit f2p hard, and no amount of planning and saving helps, especially since we aren't notified of the events until after the arc goes live, and have no insight into how things will be scored.

Quite simply, Scopley is out of touch with their general player base. I have no problem with things being put in for "premium" players, but there should be a f2p path to follow.

For example, any new mechanic/ship/officer should be able to be unlocked f2p... But those who pay should be able to tier them up quicker. That's fine, as long as f2p has a way to eventually by investing their time.

Either slap a heroic tag on the event, lower the point total, or avoid running so many back-to-back armada event. Worst part is it's limited to rares and epics. Yeah, Exchange is counted, but we spent those on the Apex event, and I barely got enough to run 1 epic today.

@eco why are there 3 spend events in a month? At 41, I needed to spend almost 10k uncommon mats. That is 30k mats for the month. 1k mats a day. Even if I completed everything and took first in every leaderboard (impossible), I still would not earn enough mats to finish all 3 of them. Not to mention, you have armada events that do not overlap so it is use armadas for spend or armada.

The battlepass gives 6450 total uncommon and rare 3* and 4* mats. The elite battlepass track gives 5918. That is only 12,368 total uncommon/rare mats. That is only enough to finish 1 spend event and not even make it to the second to the last tier on another. And that doesn't take into account a spend event at the middle of the battlepass much less the end.

This is unacceptable.

That the only way to complete it is to have 375 tetryons, even though you can only store 200 and only get 65 each day. And the fact that previous iterations of the event have run for 3 days, or 2 days but also include tetryons as part of the payout.

This arc is pathetic. Between sending an entire server to a single system to kill hostiles, to sending a server to kill a single type of hostile that hardly spawns, to using a 2m boss on a lvl 25 mission, to events that ask for armada after armada after armada for days (only whales can do that and have to carry the rest of an alliance). This is worse than the Ferengi arc. The last arc felt successful so I thought some lessons were learned. This is the pits and not fun.

Quite frankly, would be easier to have them auto complete the episode event for everyone than having massive amounts of support tickets sent to complete it on an individual basis.

Have alliance members that sent in a ticket yesterday noon and they're still waiting, so I have no hope as I sent it today.

this is how similar issues have been fixed in other games. I previously worked for one of the larger gaming companies out there and time sensitive issues like this were fixed on more than one occasion by the player support team manually running scripts that flagged a problem quest complete for every player on the server every hour (until the developers could hotfix a more permanent solution)

every company (and their systems) is different though, so no idea if that would be feasible here. 🙂

That the easier solution to this issue is to have thousands of people submit CS tickets rather than just change a number on a hostile and push out a small server-side hotfix tells you how poor this game’s coding is. At this point, between things like this and the constant event screwups, its obvious nobody on the coding or event team understands their own game from a player or coding perspective. Im sure they’re trying their best, but that kind of knowledge and experience can’t be ‘worked harder’ towards. Scopely likely drove the original coding team to insanity and now have this mess to face with no solution in sight. It is (sadly) only going to get worse from here. Buckle up buckaroos…

I've submitted my ticket to Customer Support. It's a pity that the instructions for contact support at #👽-how-to-contact-support message aren't themselves correct (there is no Help/FAQ entry within the Settings menu, although it's not hard to find). And things don't improve from there: there's no entry (that I can see for "'Lost Progress & Contacting Support'). It's not helped by the Android version giving a different help page than the PC client sends the user to.

Generally speaking I plan for most events and yes I chose to chase the Pike SLB spent the mats I was able and then used directives to push it up as much as I could. It’s a heavy armada load and I have lots of exchange directives

Can something be done about these Armada events? Especially the ones requiring Rare and Epic. They take way too long too complete. I can't give the game that much screen time. Why is it in one armada event that doesn’t have Officer shards as part of the rewards, uncommon targets counts toward scoring. But in a event to kill armadas that does gives out Officer shards it’s only Rare and Epic armadas count?

Hey scopely. Great job on this spock armada event. It’s easy enough to complete if you have epic directives and can find an epic to run. Otherwise you are SOL. Just another fantastic event from the people who don’t ever consider whether their customers are having fun. 👌👍

Kind of related to Jonnayy - let me start by saying, that I absolutely love the idea of a bonus refinery. Although starting at G4 the sheer amount of Common G4 makes it so you actually have benefit in the regular refinery but who doesn't like to get a bit more chance of Uncommon, Rare and Epics 🤷

But... if you feel the need to give out 6 days worth of a bonus refinery, shortly after not 1 but 2 bonus refineries within the last 2-3 months (if I'm not mistaken)... Maybe it is time for game design to consider updating the regular refinery instead of having people do twice the work for a whole week (and potentially longer). There are complains about the refinery basically since I'm playing this game and yes I know it was updated in the past but apparently it's not only players anymore who consider the amounts of ressources you get regularly daily (not through events) aren't enough anymore?

So far, I've got a response saying they're aware of the situation and will respond within 24 hours... So it's not a completely generic response: it does specifically know about the Breakthrough Mission. But it does sound like it's not being handled consistently 😦

Yeah... you need to actually take the opinions of the superwhales with a super-whale-sized pinch of salt. Some know their stuff. But a lot are just pillocks when it comes to crewing/mechanics, because their solution for "This is too hard" is "Spend more" rather than "Well... what about...?"

Bortas' purpose is only to soften the shields for the Sal, and it needs to die before it strips it entirely. The sal has to engage before the shields regen to make it a worthwhile move
