I partly hate the game because I can only play for 10-15 minutes before it crashes and I have to wait for my tablet to cool down before I can start playing again.

For a short time yes but when you get into the mid 40's research takes almost a year a piece so the extra research slots help

Given you are currently ops 19 and I can’t judge your growth I would say closer to a year.

I started dual faction early at Ops 19 and it took me over a year to do Fed and Klingon to 10 mil each

Just out of curiosity; I've just hit OPS20 and opened the Tendi SMS event, will my previous trophies count too or just the ones I earn onwards of the unlock?

The trophies you've earned will count, but it's an all-or-nothing event. The previously earned trophies will not count toward the Tendi SMS. You may have been too low to do all the events that have granted trophies. The current max total is 11 right now, if you've done all the events today and are not there, then you'd need to buy something from the shop to complete.

The only limiting factor is deep space access which you get at 38.

CLat you don't need until 35/36? As you can't refine it until then - at which point you'll either need Arrock, a Feesha, or both to mine it... but OPC hunting and refining at the base level is still viable.

If you're free to play, or even low-paying, the extra lat each day helps

Uhura/LaForge/Chen/T'laan all do damage reduction before it hits the mitigation or shields at all, which means it has a greater ability to keep you grinding longer

Pike/Picard boost Chen/T'laan to ridonkulous levels, which is why they take the place of the cadet crews later on

so 20% reduction is 20% reduction

where as vs a player with moderate tech its around .2%

Kirk/Spock just means you never (rarely) lose shields, which is amazing, because shields mitigate 80% of damage done, but you rarely lose shields in PVE, so it's not needed

Answers for the Klingon event: 1) damage Separatist 2) officer XP spend 3) kill 15 Romulans (lvl shouldn't matter, I hit lowest lvl ones I could find and got it). 4) Speed up ship repair 5) Start/finish away teams (3 I believe, I didn't track how many I did just started and finished ones nearly done). 6) kill 15 Federation (same here hit lower lvls and it worked for me)

Concerning the Hunter Killer event, it looks like the majority of server 8 is planning on doing this:

If an alliance does try to challenge another at a Take Over, all other alliances stay away from that system and can earn points at another Take Over. Harrison can’t be countered.
Some tips for this event that my alliance found useful.
1)Send a ship through all the Beta systems and check for the armadas you can still do them without owning territory
2)set up with your allies to meet up in Beta systems that aren’t busy and use more simple crews and try and match yourselves more fairly (so everyone can get kills)

Don't know where you get that idea from, there is no crew that works against Harrison (especially Harrison-H.Worf-Marcus). The Disco has paper thin hull.

you can deal enough damage that even with shield mitigation its still more than the disco hull

harrison is just a better way to approach that

GG with Tyler and HG Worf is an example and load up attack

with good luck you can use ToS Kirk with ToS Sulu and Lorca, or instead of Sulu you use Uhura if you have good luck with crits

Just so everyone knows, some players that had missing trophies in the Tendi event due to a Scopely bug are getting the full 120 Tendi shards on their account while they can still get the 120 from the event if they buy one pack. 240 shards with only buying a single pack, while the rest of us can only get 120 shards.
