The problem with Amalgam is it’s warp range is far better than the Meridian so when it can get to DS it’s slower than the Meridian

It’s also very heavily gated, so low tier Amalgams are rife.

At the top end, the Amalgam is a decent miner. But there aren’t many of those.

Honestly there is many points of discussion on these like for example con lat on my server it’s Feesha only but many mine with Arrock + synergy on faction miners or Horizons. Which is fair enough I do it too. But there comes a point where it can also be seen as a joke so they get shot off too

Indirectly, yes. For example there's a "spend Ultra Recruit tokens" event coming. Most people won't have enough to clear the SMS. They can buy more in the event store.

So in effect it becomes a "spend chess pieces" event.

Right now I believe we're going to be slowing down what we're adding to the event store. I'm happy to explain why:

Adding items to the event store after it's been live for some time can potentially cause frustration in some Commanders. If someone invests event store currency into one item but would have rather saved and spent it on something else after it's added, it can be upsetting. We love adding things based off community feedback, but after some time it can be risky.

However, future event stores should have different items**! So if something isn't there this time we can look into maybe including it next time!
