Scopely do you do it on purpose and put 4 days a week with the toughest hostiles just to make us sweat it, who the hell thinks about that. The more time passes and the less I play. Scopely's keep putting new buggy as hell update with hostiles you just rage after because they are so tough. 3-4 trips or more to do a daily isn't fun for anyone, it sucks. You claim you want to enhance quality of life but since then it's only getting worse. Keep at it and you'll keep loosing players.

I feel like this event should allow G7 players to complete it with G6 solo armadas just because of how they purposefully designed the G7 armadas to be impossible for 90% of players.

The event shouldn't be more difficult for a specific population just because new content got launched.

Everything is designed to get you to level up now. Multiple Domination events a week where only a couple of months ago there was just 1 & if there were multiple they would score on more than 1 event. You are constantly being pushed to level up so, if you do, you get short on stuff in the hope you will spend ££££s.

To reasonable be able to solo them, should have been the programmers goal.

Everyone in an alliance knows the experience, of starting an armada and having help not arrive.

So if they programmed g7 armadas so a strong vengeance t12/t13 could solo them. That would have been a win. That way four t3/t4 vengeance could reasonable kill one.

Now? It requires 4 max vengeance or g7 uncommon. That’s like 1% for an entry g7 armada.

Is it just me or have the <@&509690795536941056> s been especially silent on the open armada issues here despite all the complaints?
Not only the difficulty of beating one, but being nearly impossible for many players to even participate in one they did not start and many of those still failing (miserably)
Locking players out of events due to impossible difficulty and then going silent is not a good way to maintain a player base.
It almost feels like they are intentionally trying to EOL the game so they can start work on their next project while they still milk as much additional revenue out as they can while it winds down.
What they are making good progress on is how a developer can irredeemably destroy their own reputation by repeatedly ignoring players.

Yeap, that's just happened to me again and I'm getting extremely tired of it happening.

It honestly sounds like a load of level 70 players must not have been around for previous Ops expansions. The newest levels are always glacially slow, “buy lots of packs to progress” kind of territory. You’re at the bleeding edge and Scopely will bleed you dry for the experience. It only ever starts to improve after about 12-18 months

My entire server didn't exist when G6 got added, and it was something like 15 months later that we ascended to G6, so yeah, a lot of players won't have been around then, or at least not paying attention. But that said, it's obvious that G7 wasn't going to be fast like everything else is now, since it's the newest cash cow. G6 didn't start becoming really fast until the last 6 months or so before G7 launched, which was how we could tell it was coming. Personally, I'm probably going to end up hanging at 71 for most of this year, to catch up after speeding past a lot of G6 content.

Why is Scopely so stingy with AT Credits? Out 12 tasks over 4 days, there may be 1 task that I am able to complete that rewards any AT Credits. Aside from helping out my alliance on the leaderboard, there is very little reward for me and the AT Store is useless to me. I've been carrying the same stash of credits for 6 months hoping i'll save up enough to get something useful out of the store. I am getting really fed up with being loot-punished in this game because I'm not lvl 50 or better, or a credit card whale. You'd think they'd want to incentivize lower lvl players instead of ALWAYS catering/pandering to higher lvl players and whales. Walked away from the game just before COVID at lvl 32 and just made it to lvl 39 last week.

Like a couple recent events, this is definitely a crew check. Not even just in terms of using the correct ones, but that you have maxed the important ones. Scopely really pushes people to move past the Ops they should be at and you can catch up with a credit card in terms of unlocking ships and tech, but officers are always just a grind and if you've progressed too far and have relatively weak officers, events like these are just going to be a slog.

Which is sort of odd since Scopely is generally more than willing to sell the solution, but there just isn't a shortcut with officers.

I'd say for you to look at the reward options and see if they are actually worth your time. For me (lvl 64) the rewards aren't worth it, so I'm skipping the event

This event is a time suck. It has some to do with money at certain levels, but mostly it has to do with how much time are you personally willing to spend grinding. And on mobile right now, a lot of us are reporting we have to click attack 4-6 times PER HOSTILE

FWIW, difficulty in attacking was actually always a weird issue with Sarris but it's worse with this.

They took the worst parts of Sarris and made it into an event. The removed anything from Sarris that made it actually worth doing.

As others pointed out, this is a complete waste of time. Stupid scoring forces you to play a mobile game for hours, wasting your time irl and resources in-game. And then the rewards are absolute trash. A chance at getting 1 or 2 officer shards and another chance at 2-5 shards of an artifact that probably needs 200(or more) to unlock with no way to get more except to buy them for $100 in the store when you realize you’ll only have like 15 by the end of the event’s run.

Depends on your level. As a 62, to finish the Heroic event I need to kill 200 to 300 61's and 62's. Many of the higher level players are hitting down so they need to kill WAY more.

Leslie (C)/Moreau/ and either Georgio or Nero on bridge for burning or you can use Nelix below deck (T5 gives 100% buring). Use on explorer with Kim below for shield healing also. Annorax above if you have Nelix below helps heal hull damage from previous round as does Pic Hugh. I don't really use it and I think there are other specific requirements but that is the idea.

Not really sure... I read on other posts that these V'ger 8472 hostiles have a giant gun that fires off after the first 10 rounds... sending you home dead. Seems like it isn't that giant though as I have seen some fights go like 17 rounds when I was messing around with different crews early in the event.

Editted... actually if you scan them they have a "Replicated Energy Focus beam" that fires after 10 rounds.

I am not a fan of the event, no one say otherwise-but pretty much, its tuned so you kill the hostile in 10 rounds. If not-donkey punch. So crew for sheer damage, put Paris below if you can't fit mitigation above. I am 68 and can chain 67s. So the sms is doable-reasonable and expected no.

And, yet- this is still better tuned than the entire last arc............

i'm now wondering about the event store boxes. it says 100% chance at depot shards which you know will be weighted to be the 500 or 750 at like 50% and 25% respectfully. but what about the officer shards? 50% to pull 1 officer that then has an 90% chance to be 1 shard and 10% to be 2 shards? is 50% at each officer so you could pull 2+?

and then 50% to pull the artifact shards that you know are like the depot tokens, 50% for 2, 25% for 3, 20% for 4 and 5% for 5. an artifact that maxed out at 180% would give me 13( i think, been over a month since i did an outpost) uncommon outpost tokens per wave. not a meaningfully helpful artifact, especially if this monthly event is going to be the only way to get shards for it. no one is going to this event every month.

sadly there seems to not be any reliable crew sets for the Orions as it seems to be more chance as i have tried the sets on that list, and it did nothing and i tried the sting and removal of all FC and that did nothing (as i thought it would do jack crap) it just seems scopely seems to increasing the hardness of the Orions ... why .... i have no clue as it seems to be one of those that you must pay to beat as you will need to rebuild your best ships who knows how many times and burn all your sigmas best i can suggest is just pass on the Orions maybe if enough ppl skip it they might get the hint that they need to lower the harness to a more reasonable rate but i doubt they will

For a daily sms I’m finding it hard to complete, I can consistently kill l45 hostiles at 144 points a pop, but in order to fully complete, I need 49.35k points. Which if my math is correct, I have to kill 343 L45 hostiles to max out the event.

I’m not having an issue punching up to kill hostiles, but why would I bother with the grind when the chest pulls are an actual joke. AMS is beyond ridiculous. with a ship that has high shields and damage stats.

but the hostile stats are set wrong, so for some level ranges you need a ship above your grade.
like the 46-50 ones are balanced for G5 fkr rare ships, barely doable with a G4 epic or G5 uncommon.
not fair when you're only able to get up to G4 rare fkr ships.

• lets say I get an average of 3.5 shards a pull
• max is 30 pulls, so 15 successful
• could get 52.5 if i can do all 30 pulls
  Should unlock it next run if everything goes well.

"50%" chance is not 50%. Even if you manage to get an officer pull, it's likely 90-95% chance to be 1 shard and 5-10% to be 2 shards. Same with the artifact. "50%" chance that if hit, you have 50% chance of pulling 2 shards, 30% at pulling 3, 15% at pulling 4 and 5% at pulling 5 shards. And it could even be worse like 80/10/8/2%.
