Fair point this time, but it still doesn't resolve the problem of missed rewards for the D'Vor Feesha event from Part 1, which they said they were working on (and didn't).... plus, although I'm wary of the problem this time, I won't be surprised if there are others who do get caught out, if the events aren't active in time.

Also, we could do with [+] quantity refine options for the Swarm biominerals... I have around 115k of them, and if the options vanish from the Refinery when the Franklin is Mastered, that's a lot of resources lost. Either the Refinery option need to remain until the inventory is used up, or they need to provide a way to quickly process them all! (not at that point with the Franklin-A, but I'm sure the same would apply for that)

... which negates the point of the Mastery benefits... its a bit like the Amalgam where they removed the refining options, even though I still have 60M of plundered cargo. Just because they give us a Mastery 'collect' so we don't need to use the refinery doesn't mean we don't have stuff still to get processed!

When they first introduced the Archives, I quickly mastered every ship I could, not realizing the refinery contents would completely disappear, along with the Amalgem recruit tab. Still sitting on almost 100k Amalgem refinery tokens. Communication is key, and Scopely doesn't know how to do that unless it means they are selling you something. Lost out on 95 HG Worf shards and who knows how many 100% rep bonus exos. Now the Archives gives me maybe 1 large rep bonus exo a week in a SUPER slow drip. 😑

Moral of the story is, if you are about to master a ship... spend EVERYTHING in and from the refinery you can first.

Ideally, I don't think they should remove the refining options. The Mastery gives us the quick and easy, but if we have loads more to refine, or if we spend time collecting the 'stuff' and refining it as well, just let us do it, we're the ones choosing to spend our time in that case.

Especially since everyone on the server is going to the same level 40 system, and every player with their new Reliant parked them all over the system so it's just packed full of D7s flying around. This is back to closer to the heroic levels

Why did you guys reduce the points for Augment Exile hostiles in this arc? Like... tone deaf? We complained last month about the amount of kills required and you listened and reduced the points required... But then this month you turn around and reduce the points scored for those hostiles? Similar situation. But I haven't hit hundreds, I can destroy 4 ships before I need to repair.

I am level 52 (near as damn it 53), and hitting level 46. I can get more kills if I hit level 44, but not many more.

I didn't engage at all with the last arc (did the bare minimum) for exactly this reason.

They calculate with x hostiles equal to you ops level, if you hit lower the amount of hostile increase drastically.

Maybe try Janeway (c), Annorax, Seska/M'Benga to keep your shields up and hit higher.

I am using my most powerful ship, which is a 280M NSEA Protector. My next best ship is a 140M Vi'Dar and then a 115M Newton.

Same crew, Protector vs. Newton is a difference of 2 kills (in the Protector's favour).

And no, my shields don't fully drop according to the screen shot.

NSEA is designed specifically for MU hostiles, don’t let ship power fool you. Your strongest ship is the newton. Special ships like vidar and NSEA have a lot of power but not generally stronger then FKR ships

Many specialty ships aren't as bad as some believe. You can review them on stfc.space to see how they compare. Others, like Franklin, are overly specialized and are just terrible outside of their specific target. In any case, an empirical test would show you quickly which is better.

Ive been doing the augment grind .... 69mil is a lot of hostiles to hit.... any suggestions on crew for a sanctus and a crew for reliant?

This is what I use when I put my reliant in a system to idle farm. I don't use a loot crew, or it goes opcl too fast. This is good for idle farming loot/faction. For hunting the survey ships, I use a 100% max loot crew. I also do a max loot crew if I manually faction farm.

The reliant has SOO much defense, that any you add to it has minimal effect. Also avoid adding ISO dmg as it's a drop in the bucket compared to the ship ISO ability.

Concentrate on ISO cascade, crit chance, crit damage, and Apex Shred. I don't have s31gg yet. So my build may have been different if I had her.

With my above build, I kill 54s in 3 -4 rounds and chang often delays enemy firing for one round, and that is a huge savings on my hull health.

Annorax also will have little effect on the reliant as the reliant has 50k apex Barrier.

Basically because this has so much defense, I tend to go with glass cannon builds

For Sanctus, slap a loot crew on it and just farm the highest level augment that you can kill in large quantities between repairs.

Reliant out of the box does not help with the event. You can kill so so low they don't move the dial on the score

🤷 you'd need to try and hit higher but not sure on your situation. You would be lucky to get 1 42 exile with the reliant at your ops at T1 it's pretty low power

The Exiles chew through my ships like paper - the Reliant gives a 2x bonus which it like one or two levels compensation, but it wouldn't help if it's vastly weaker out of the box versus a Corvus or such.

Sometimes it just happens. When I use to do that way back when during Crucible of War, I’d auto all docks in faction space. Some would continue while some would stop. It just happens. When you notice it just reset and continue about your day.

Ill just shift to auto farming in texas space till I see some change . I can easily do 2-3k hostiles in a day without auto farming. Im just used to doing 5-6k a day

Since OPS 20 it feels like most SMS in the dailiy events (not like almost all events are daily anyway..), but also a lot of the SLB aswell, are "spend G3 Uncommon/rare materials". I can't see much in either reserch or buildings that require G3+ U or R materials.... or am i blind? 😛

Also the the "Recruit WOK MOntgomery Scott" is either spend G3+ U or R mats, or spend directives which is not possible either...

So far, i don't think i have seen any buildings or research that need G3 U or R materials, except maybe 1 prime research earlier. There are some, mostly research, that uses g3 common materials, but not uncommon or rare. And most buildings, except the ones that upgrades with daily claims and special mats, are lvl 20. Research was also more or less maxed before going to 21.

Pretty much, if you don't have the materials, or the necessary upgrades, or your ships aren't strong enough or have high enough warp. I've only really been able to compete in the events since OPS 28, and even now there are some I can't complete because I don't have the requirements.

• max epic kirk/gorkon/nero in no time
• farm transporter patterns

You mixing your events? The TP one discovery #4 is only 100 points to complete buying 1 officer shard with TP patterns unlocks it (so no way you have 110 points left). The 2nd event Quest #4 is kill hirogen or low Klingon

I like the idea of the secret event but the implementation sucks. It's basically "hold onto anything, because it might be used". Spent my bells just minutes before the event reset and have to wait until tomorrow. And if it lukily wasn't a public holiday I would be at work and would miss the meta.

For Starfleet Secrets Pt 5, it says put the PMC officer of lowest RANK in the captain's chair.

My Pike currently has a lower RANK than Chen or Moreau.

But I'm not earning any points for this event when I kill hostiles.

Are we supposed to put Chen in the captain's chair instead because she's an UC officer rather than a RARE or EPIC officer, or what?

I disagree unless you scrap the ship. Having periodic events doesn’t change the fact you don’t have to do daily grinds or don’t get full claims everyday. They also have to have events that cross players who don’t have ships in IA.

Understand that, but why not add a scoring option for IA, it is absolutely pointless for pretty much everyone over 50 ops to fight swarm anymore, same with anyone over 58 ops with a max talios, or anyone who has maxed Voyager, the events are pointless as they do nothing but waste time, add in scoring option for the IA and it won't matter if you've done it or not. It will save, sanity and less chance of reaching hostile limit that way, allowing those who have done it to focus on the new grinds they are constantly adding
